Dylan and his car

This morning Dylans cub scout pack had their Pinewood Derby. It was short and sweet just the way I like it! Dylans car took 5th or 6th place he claims, I really don't know but he was so proud of it! His uncle Kyle painted the car for him with color changing paint it was pretty cool! He paints cars for a living so it really does look awesome. I don't know what it is about boys but no matter what the age they get really obsessive about this kind of stuff, Tyler not Dylan had been working on the car for the last month doing everything he could to make it faster! Good thing he has a lot of boys to go through scouting to perfect it! Not much else has been happening at our house lately, the tooth fairy has come to visit us twice this week once with Karsten then with Dylan, my kids are pretty much toothless now. Also Dylan got an award at school on Wednesday for having self control, its one of the characteristics they work on throughout the year and he won for his class in the month of December. He is such a good kid I'm sure it wasn't hard for him he is so disciplined and hard working, we are very proud!

Do Blonds really have more fun?

So as many of you know I am always changing things because I get bored way too fast, one of those things being my hair. My sister talked me into coloring my hair dark, I'm still trying to get used to it. It's funny because a lot of people really don't recognize me, I've gotten that a lot over the past few weeks, I don't think I look that different (sorry this post is way late) But I'm still trying to figure out if I like it better. I will probably stay dark for awhile because i'm afraid if I color my hair again it's just going to fall OUT because it's so damaged. I don't know tell me what you like better & what you think!

Cyclones & Ice Cream

Today Dylans basketball team the Cyclones had another game, they did really well. Dylan scored twice and had a few rebounds and steals!! I think I got a little camera happy, but all the pictures of him actually playing didn't turn out they are either dark or blurry. After the game we went out for ice cream with the team. One game down only another month & a half of them to go! Dylan has games and Karsten has clinics every Saturday. I just don't love spending my entire Saturday at the gym! I really am proud of the way he played, he has improved so much since last year it's amazing. Call me crazy but, I just like outdoor sports better!!

Random Things

The other day my brothers girlfriend Beth asked to see our Paris pics so as we were looking through them this quote caught my eye it's on the memorial right in front of the American D-day cemetery in Normandy, France. I just wanted to share it with you. "Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid they have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices."
President Harry S. Truman
United States Of America

Also I am so looking forward to a new year and hope it is better than the last. I told my dad "It can't get any worse" He told me to never say that so I will just think it. Although it's already getting off to a rough start because of the economy My husband had to layoff one guy and cut everyone elses hours at his work. He hates being the bad guy but at least they still have jobs right?

As far as my kids go we are still in the middle of basketball season (my least favorite sport) They started back to school yesterday which I am very glad to be back on a schedule, we did have a lot of fun over the break staying up till 1 in the morning! I start back teaching dance tomorrow and look forward to seeing my girls again. Now me and Tyler are just counting down the days till our cruise only 46 days left until we leave! I so need a vacation!
