Stitches

Showing off his battle wound

Last night Dylan had to get three stitches, he cut his finger while climbing on my inlaws fence on their dog run playing hide-and-seek with his cousins. I'm actually really surprised this is the first time my kids have had to have stitches, being boys and all. Me and Tyler weren't there we were at the movies with friends. My in laws took him to get sewn up, thank goodness for Instacare. We're just glad it wasn't worse! Luckily they come out in 10 days so it won't interrupt baseball season too.

New Calling

I was called today as the assistant camp director of my ward for girls camp and I am so excited! Yes it was due to some campaigning on my part because I love to go to girls camp and I love the YW in my ward and miss being their leader. I told the YW president in my ward I would be the camp director she asked the bishop and he told her no due to the fact I am in a presidency already. So I get to be assistant instead, which is better really because I don't have as much responsibility and stress, so I can't wait. I look forward to taking a break from my boys and everyday life and playing with some girls, and getting to hang out with the leaders which are awesome and my really good friends! Now just comes the waiting for being dirty, spiritual experiences, no shower for a week, lots of work, tons of fun, and emotional teenage girls. I CAN'T WAIT!

Easter

For Easter this year we didn't get to go to the sand dunes which is the usual tradition because the weather decided to ruin our plans, but we had fun anyway. On Saturday morning we went to the easter egg hunt where my kids got way too much candy! Then we went to Fillmore to have dinner with my family and so we could all hover over my darling new niece. Then Sunday morning the easter bunny brought my kids new outfits and more candy they didn't need. Also on Sunday I got another calling in addition to being the primary secretary I was asked to do something I'm really excited about but I can't say yet I havent been sustained but when I am you'll be sure to know! I hope everyone had a great EASTER!

A Rough Start

The NICU nurses working on her right after she was born

The proud daddy right before the mini surgery they had to put tubes through her
umbilical cord for the antibiotics and a feeding tube

Baby Jade and mommy

Jade inside the incubator

Jade Marilee Sherratt was born yesterday @ 2:46p.m. She had a very rough start into the world. My sister Whitnee was in labor for 30 hours and had to push for 3 hours or more. After using forceps and the vaccuum and a lot of hard pushing she was finally ready to come meet us. To make a long story short Jade wasn't breathing when she was born and came face up so she has to stay in the NICU for 48 hours because of an infection she got. It was the hardest labor and delivery I have ever seen I was wishing I could step in and do it for her she was so exhausted but did a good job without complaining! The baby is doing good now she is absolutely darling it make me almost want to have another one (almost) She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 20 inches long. Two different friends said to me yesterday "it was probably because your mom wasn't ready to let go of the baby yet" So I told Whitnee that and we sat and cried because we think its probably true.
