This year for some reason we've waited until the end of summer to head up the mountain. The last two weekends we finally got some fishing and picnicing in! The first weekend we went to Cedar campground and had a picnic, hiked, and my kids played catch. This last weekend we went to Duck Creek where it ended up being packed so we ended up going farther to mirror lake and fished. It was quite windy and chilly but my kids didn't seem to mind.

First Day Of School 2010

Karsten getting his Bobcat badge in scouts

Dylan the football player and ladies man haha

Karsten, what a cutie!

This year for school Dylan's in 6th grade (Ugh! I have a middle schooler) He absolutely loves it! His doing new fun things this year, learning how to play the trumpet in band and playing tackle football! He loves football and at practice has been working on being a wide receiver. Yesterday he came home and told me about 8th grade girls hugging him and his friends! Mmmm don't know how I feel about that. Karsten is in 3rd grade and has Miss. Soper for his teacher. I think she will be awesome. He is so excited his best friend Mason is in his class. I feel for the teacher those two are a little wild (and naughty) when they get together! He told me after the first day they were separated and not allowed to sit together haha imagine that. Karsten has started playing soccer and is doing awesome at being the main forward on the team! He will also start flag football on Monday. Whew I hope im ready for this. Also on the 1st day of school Karsten received his bobcat award for cub scouts! We are so proud and now he's well on his way to getting his wolf!

9th Anniversary

I thought this pic was cute, (he doesn't know I took it) haha!!

Me and Tyler celebrated our 9th Anniversary on August 11th. The night before I told him to go get my present out of his truck and he told me it was too big to bring home. So the next morning I get up to find a card with a brand new chevy key with a Bradshaw Chevy keychain attached to it. On the outside of the card it said see I told you it was too big to bring home. I opened the card and in the inside he wrote: Chevy Traverse $33,000, Spare key from my work $o, the look on your face priceless! I couldv'e killed him. The kicker to this whole story is we were looking a and test driving cars the day before:( He thinks he's so funny! The last nine years we definitely have had our ups and downs, helped each other through some really hard things and had some great times! So here's to ninety more years:)

Karsten's Baptism

So after being in California for five days I came home to spend the night in my own bed. The next morning I left for Girls camp for another four days in the rain. The day I got home from girls camp on July 31st was Karstens Baptism day. Whew!! He was so excited to get baptized, at the Bishops interview he did so good and answered all the questions right. He was so honest when asked if after apologizing and repenting if he ever hit his brother if he would do it again and he answered probably. I thought it was pretty funny at least he was honest. I gave the talk on Baptism and the Holy Ghost and his dad baptized him. After coming out of the water Karstens friend Mason who was sitting on the front row said nope he didnt go all the way under he has to do it again. Everybody laughed it was pretty funny. After the baptism we had a BBQ at our house with all the family that came. We are so proud of Karsten for making the decision to be Baptized and hope that he will always remember this special day:)

My Favorite player Jonathan Papelbon (the closing pitcher)

so tired

the red Sox after they won

Our last day in California was spent at the beach. It was overcast and kinda chilly but my kids had a ball. They jumped the waves, collected seashells, built sandcastles, and swam. We went to Huntington beach and it was so nice and not very crowded at all. My kids wanted to stay an extra day to spend at the beach they loved it so much. That night we went to the Angels- Red Sox Baseball game and I think Dylan died and went to heaven. It was so cool to see them play after watching the games on tv all season. Jaxon's favorite player David Ortiz hit 2 home runs and my fav player Papelbon closed the game pitching. The only thing better would have been for Dylan favorite player Josh Beckett to pitch! But you can't have it all I guess. It was awesome the Red Sox won the Angels 6 to 3!

waiting in line for space mountain.
This year for family vacation we went to California. On July 24th we spent the day at Disneyland. My kids had so much fun they never wanted to leave. we spent a total of 12 hours there and they were still wanting more. They were so good at waiting in line without complaining it truly amazed me. We hit all but 3 of the rides our first day and were dead tired. So tired my kids went back to the motel and went swimming:) So other than spending $100 dollars on dinner we had a great time.
