Smiles, Cars and Hot Dog

Thought we would post some recent pics of our boy... can't believe he is 19 months old!!

Helping Grammie bake over Christmas

One of Logan's new favorite activities is reading. His favorite place to read is mommy's lap or his very own chair he got for christmas from his mawmaw and pawpaw

His Aunt Jelyn got him a stool and painted it very cute for Christmas.......well that stool, as you can see, is getting him in a bit of trouble....

We can't get him to smile normal at the camera

again....

He LOVES his "hot-uh" aka "passy" (yes, he made up his own word for this)

He is a very good teeth brusher

Okay mom ....all ready for bed!!!

poor banana...

say cheese Momma!!!!

He loves his Elmo house shoes... he wears them around the house... and actually keeps them on. (Note that Dadda and Logan both have the same expression on their faces.)

Playing with his new car he got for Xmas

Things our little buddy is up to these days:

We wrote down all the words that he knows the other day... he knows about 250 words and about 20 phrases.

Some of the more impressive words that he knows are: elephant, Dr. Pepper, Tylenol, motorcycle, helicopter, dinosaur, hallelujah, equipment, blueberry.

Some phrases that he knows: I did it, I get you, baby Jesus, jack-in-the-box (the toy, not the fast-food restaurant), come on, what's that, dadda what's up, where did it go, excuse me please, I love you.....

Some funny things he is doing:
He will hold his fist up to you and say, "Knuckles" and want you to fist bump.

We are starting to potty train and when he needs to go poop, he says "Poo-poo....hurry mamma....potty!"

He says please when he is asking for anything and is very good about saying thank you when he gets something or you do something for him.

He says yes ma'am and sometimes yes sir. We are working on the no ma'am and no sirs. If he is trying to get by you or go around you, he says "Excuse me." Anytime we are watching TV he asks, Mote? (for remote), Hot-dog? (for Mickey mouse--they do the Hot Dog Dance)... Handy Manny?.....Pooh? Watch? Or if he wants to watch a movie, he says, "watch DVD..okay!!!!" When he picks up something he grunts and says, "heavy" when he see Joshua's Aggie ring, he says...."Aggies, whoop!!"

He can count to three and sing the first half of the A-B-Cs, he knows the songs Patty Cake, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Itsy Bitsy Spider.

One day , we were at a restaurant and he got his food first and before we all said the prayer, he bowed his head and mumbled something and said AMEN!! Now he does it all the time.

He has started pretending with his toys.

He loves chap stick!

He tries to take his Handy Manny tools to bed with him and gets very upset when we tell him he can't.

He always asks if he can "dive" (drive) when we arrive at out destination.

I could go on forever with the funny things he does and says. He amazes us every day with the things he comes up with. We can't remember what life was like without him!

A West Texas Christmas!

Hi everyone.....thought we would finally update the blog!! We spent this last weekend in Amarillo to celebrate Christmas with the Sweney's and the rest of Tyler's family. Joshua has never been to Amarillo for the Christmas holidays so this was a first for him and of course Logan!! We had lots of fun with our family as always. We ate at our local favorites as well as enjoyed so good ole home cooking. Here are a few pics from the weekend.....

Logan's first "blue Sky" hamburger experience

It was a bit more chilly in Amarillo than east TX, so we had to bundle up in our "heavy" coats....Logan could barely move!

Part of Logan's loot was a AWESOME tricycle from his grammie and poppie

It warmed up enough to play outside a little

I'll let you guess what was on the menu...

Logan discovered grammies pantry....his new favorite play ground!

We will try to get some more pics up of the Amarillo weekend and the rest of the Christmas festivities through out the week! Hope everyone has a great week!

We are staying in a beautiful three-story cabin, on top of a rather large mountain with a breathtaking view. We have not had much of an agenda... just spending great quality time with family and lots of relaxing. Here are a few pics of our cabin and where we are staying.
