Preschool is Great!

This fall we decided to send Aiden to preschool. I couldn't be happier with that decision. He has loved it and is learning so much. Aiden has been on his very own, unique, learning curve. He is making up his own development time table and figuring out life in his own little way. He is such a precious little guy with an awesome personality. I love being his mom, and I'm thrilled that he is thriving in preschool. He has a wonderful, experienced teacher who knows exactly what she is doing and has them busy on appropriate tasks from beginning to end. She's fabulous. He also happens to be in the smallest class they've ever had, eight kids and two teachers. How amazing. I'm so thankful that he's able to go and that it has been such a great benefit to him. I'm thinking about signing him up for kindergarten too . . . : )(These pictures were from a very fun fall festival, complete with a petting zoo. I have no idea why he looks away from the camera every time we take his picture!)

Roman Arches

Assignment: build a Roman Arch using jello pudding boxes. It was tricky to get it to stand but we did it. Austin was truly impressed, Andrew and Aiden . . . not so much.

The Boy and The Firetruck

Aiden got to be a part of a Firehouse field trip with our home school co-op. He had the chance to wear the helmet, hold the hose, climb through the cab and see a fully outfitted fireman. It was a great day!

Junction Creek

This summer we had our Third Annual Colorado Camping Trip. I only say it like that because I always have such a great time and I hope we will continue to go every summer. Everyone was able to go this year and we had a wonderful week. We weren't sure how long our family would be able to stay, since we didn't know how Desta would handle the major change in her routine. She enjoyed herself and even slept well in our tent. I love summer camping and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite Tillman family traditions. The cousins started getting dirty the minute we arrived. Yes, there were a few injuries on the wild hammock rides. :)
