Father's Day 2016

Here is Riley, a father, watching over his flock on Father's Day. Happy Father's Day world!

" 'Father' is the noblest title a man can be given. It is more than a biological role. It signifies a patriarch, a leader, an exemplar, a confidant, a teacher, a hero, a friend and, ultimately, a perfect being." -Elder Robert L. Backman

It's Not Even Summer

It's the middle of June and it isn't even officially summer. Yet, we are about to experience 120 degree weather in the Valley of the Sun. So, what I should be doing is planning on cooking food on the sidewalk, but what I am going to do is hide in my house and pray my AC doesn't die. Lol!

We have spent our summer going to the new Lego Discovery Center, Sea Life Aquarium, swimming, and spending time organizing our home. Half of our family took a mini trip to New Mexico, while the other half was cared for by Award-winning Grandmas. We also have a little dog named Penny who we lovingly throw in the pool with us. Our oldest is a little fish in the water and his two younger siblings are doing better at swimming without floaties. It can be a battle, but their dad is so kind and encouraging that he gets them to swim. As for the baby, he loves being in the water with all of us.

Here's a picture of Riley and Jackson at the Albuquerque Temple. It was a beautiful day.

Personal Progress Coupon Book

I have a set up to do a basic coupon book of Personal Progress experiences & projects that can be put on a ring. When an experience is completed, they can rip it off and see what they have left to do. I did this on Pages & so I'm including a pdf file. I didn't include the words of the specific requirements because my overall goal is to have them looking at their Personal Progress books. This would be another form of a reminder that they could hang on their wall or put in their bag. I used a basic American sized paper: 8 1/2" x 11" which you can see on the ruler below in the pictures.

Above would be the basic young women values. The document includes 6 of each value, except Virtue which only has 4. Below is the Title page for the book & the Last page about earning an Honor Bee. All of these are on one document.
The second document is as follows and includes the intro to each value and a place to write an idea down for a project. Please note that Virtue Project is also a write in, even though we know it's reading the Book of Mormon. This document could be printed one-sided or double-sided.
I didn't add color because I can only make copies in black & white. You could print them on colored paper, but know that you'll want to take out the pages that have two different values on them & therefore have to do the math to make sure every experience is accounted for. I hope this can help someone else. Good luck!

Kiddos

 I LOVE this close up!

Brayden certainly has a thing with ears.

 Glamorous aren't they. :)

Here are some sweet photos of my chickens.

Oh yeah, and when Lexie opens her eyes, well, we might as well have won the lottery the boys get so excited!

Life As We Know It

When I saw how this picture turned out, I couldn't help but think of the line from Pride & Prejudice via Elizabeth Bennet: "And the person with the quizzical brow?"

If I had to guess why my boys are so kind to our new baby, I would have to assume its because she's a girl. All they want to do is hold her & kiss her. Not that I would prefer a boy, but it would be interesting to see how they would react to having a baby boy instead. At any rate, I am just happy that they don't want to sit on her, they just want to love her. Except, both of my boys just put her toes in their nose. Oh dear.

Baby #3

Here is our new addition to the Weber family! We are all so excited to have her here.
Baby Lexie
Baby Lexie
Sterling said this morning that he didn't like Lexie because she cries. Then when he left to run an errand he specifically told her good bye & that he would miss her. So sweet!

When we introduced the boys to her, Sterling was so shy. He would run into the room, sneak a peek & then zoom back out of the room. Brayden said he didn't want to meet her, but of course he did - he was grouchy from a nap. He was happy to see her & kept poking her.

This picture is of Sterling at a birthday party of a friend who was turning 1 year old. Sterling is now 16 months and nearly in nursery at church. Mom and Dad are excited for that.

We will soon find out the gender to our next baby; in 2 weeks! We are very excited.
