Don't forget to smile today!!

Magical Monday makes me smile for sure! Another awsome digital stamp is released at 'There's Magic In The Air'. All the originals by Nina May has been great to work with but I have to say that this is my favorite. Elvis in boots is the name of this adorable little duck. The task this week was to be inspired by a picture. You can check out the picture over at 'There's Magic In The Air' and I think it's quite clear what inspired me when I decided to make this inchies card. This is the second inchies card I've made and I so enjoy making them. If you haven't tried making an inchies card yet I think you should try it! It's a lot of fun! Can't wait to see how the picture inspires you so hurry over to download your original Nina May image and join the fun challenge. Maybe you will be the winner in the participation drawing this week!

Anyways, without further ado...proudly presenting... Elvis in booooooots!!

I used some pearls as water drops and I put glossy accents on the boots and the hat.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Boat and gate...

YAY!! It's Magical Monday again!! That means your chance to download a new fabulous free original digital image by Nina May over at the 'There's Magic In The Air' blog. The image is called 'Beached Boat'. The theme for the DT and GD's this week was to make a gate fold card and that is also your challenge for this week so head on over to the blog, download your free copy of the image and get to work. If you participate in the challenge your name will be in the drawing for a prize.

The pp I used for my card is Imaginisce - A shore thing "Getting hotter, need water" I thought it was the perfect pp to use for this boat image. Unfortunately I don't know the brand of the flip flops on the card but I liked the idea of using them as the clasp to close the card.

Here's my card this week! Thanks for stopping by to check it out.

You only have one week to get your own copy of this image so head on over to the blog today. Also make sure to check out the sketch challenge with a participation drawing.

I had so much fun making this card using the adorable image of Kacey. I would love to see in what creative ways you use this image. The background pp of the forest is from the 'Once upon a time' paper stack from DCWV.

It's Magical Monday!! - Lets Celebrate!! :)

Today is the exciting day that I have told you about before! My good friend Nina May is launching her weekly give away of digital stamps. All the images have been drawn by the very talented Nina. Today is the first of many Magical Mondays to come where you can get your first digital image for free and get inspired by the Design Team and Guest Designers. We have all worked with the same image this week, the image that you can download for free at the
There's Magic In The Air' blog.

I am very excited to share with you the card I have made this week with the image that Nina has drawn. The cute little monkey is called Orson and the theme of the week is celebration. This is what I did with the image: I printed the image on a sheet of shrink plastic and painted it with acrylic pens and blended them out with a paintbrush and water. I then shrinked the image in my oven which made the image shrink from letter size to the size you see on the card. I love working with shrink plastic cause it gives a bit of texture to the card as well. I also love working with stickles and you can see that on the cake that Orson is holding. I added a thick layer of stickles from Ranger on the frosting part of the cake to give that a bit of texture as well. The rest of the cake is also 'stickeled' (LOL is that a word? :) ) but only with a thin layer of stickles. The patterned papers I've used are from October Afternoon and Fancy Pants. The alphas are Making Memories.

I've posted all the info on this exciting new blog and how you can get your hands on these super cute images. Why don't you read it again so you wont miss anything. You'll find all the info on this link!

Finally...

...all the holidays are over and it also seems I'm starting to get my scrapping mojo back too!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I got some decent scrapping done but now I recently recieved my latest DT kit and that gave me the push I needed to get started! So last night I sat down and started playing around with the overlays I recieved in the kit. Haven't been using those a lot before but this will definitely not be the last time! They were so much fun to work with!

The overlays on these two layouts are from Best Creation and the backgroud paper is from Fancy Pants. If you have any questions regarding things I've used on these LO's feel free to comment and ask me!

First up is a LO of my youngest nephew Hampus who is 5 years old. He's been influenced by his dad to become a drummer and has already gotten his own set of drums that he plays as soon as he gets a chance. And let me tell you...the boy has got talent!! I was amazed when I heard him play and as the proud auntie of course I had to take some pictures to scrap.

The second LO is all about winter and all the fun thing you can do in the snow! Hampus is on this LO as well along with his older sister Evelina and brother Rasmus. The bling swirl is Prima's "Say it in crystal" and I also added "Diamond" stickles on the thickers to create that icy look. (Hard to tell from this picture though).

That's all for now but I'll be back in a few days to post some more DT work. Planning on getting some cards scrapped this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
