if Fuhua Secondary school is all about reforming kids who fail all their exams into A students why cant i get my phone back when i say i need it to ask people out to study. do i look like i'm pulling your leg. i need my phone. now my grades are going to drop even futher. heck when its F9 how much further can i drop. screw the rules for once bitch. i even offered to let you take the phone AFTER the bloody mid years and noooo the rules man. you sleep with the rules? i am pissed. now what. i have to do a million pieces of work to get into your bloody good graces so that you can return me my phone AFTER THE BLOODY WEEKEND? i need the phone for the weekend. i try to study but all this shit is in my way.
so you all come give me the VP as a mentor is for what. so that i wont fail then you'll get good stats for the O results? tell me it isnt about the stats. tell me its about the student's lives. tell me that you people actually give a shit if young kent gets 30 points. tell me that you really care. well i highly doubt that. you people are trying to get us on in life? yeah tell that to the wall. because i wont believe you. i need my phone.

playing with daniel loke is an enriching experience. picked up a few tricks from him. useful stuff. time to apply them. yay i finally know how to play my all time favorite phrase used by like super a lot of people. its the bend double stop thing. yay for guitar. screw amath. who needs amath. when i grow up i'm going to forget all that trash anyway. heh.

yay. strings are in. and they dont look cheapo. i'm glad. hope they sound as good as they look. heh. at $5.3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 a pack i'm not complaining about the price yet. they make electric strings too. but wonder if they're worth it. they set of everlys sounded super good. and they lasted quite long too. actually i cant hear much difference in tone from differnet sets of strings... oh man but a box of 12 everlys cost 120. a set of 12 webstrings cost 64. do the math.

yay. english mid years on friday. A1 please. just dont sleep. anyway. mac's at NTU is so nice. 5 bucks for a meal. well up sized it'll still cost quite little. so i'm not complaining. starbucks is nice when someone else is paying. heh. and my little cousin is getting cute. like me. heh. oh yes. i closed the cab door on my earphones today. its slightly dented now. great reason to get my superfi3/er6i which ever i find nicer. bye. coursework calls.

found 2 great albums. ok technically its just one. one is an EP the other is a album. well the afters' album is fantastic. love someday and beautiful love. and thefirefight's the green single is also very fantastic. i want to watch them live again... they're awesome and disco-like. i mean that's something that you'll expect from them when their lead singer says 'welcome to disco land' half way during their set at the opening of switchfoot's gig.(that's a long sentance.) ah i've found another use for my pedaltrain other than training my arms and storing my pedals. a table! yes. sit on a short stool and you'll have a nice table. not a very comfortable one but heck its not our love so its not supposed to be comfortable.(yes that was a poke at john mayer's comfortable.) that joke sucks. eeee pedaltrain never reply my email. but never mind my dad rammed another rivet in for me. so its all cool.

my ears are ringing. i think i should get earplugs just for the times when i play when i'm alone at home. and maybe when i'm playing on stage. gets quite loud. anyway. i dont think many people in school know that i play guitar. other than my class mates. which is quite amusing. i look like a nerd when i go to school. and i carry guitar player. haha. what a poser. speaking of which the library is really helpful in feeding my gear madness. they have the april 2008 copy of guitarplayer. and obviously i borrowed it. and the back has a nice picture of the MXR carbon copy. true analog delay. ahhhh. john. go get it. haha.

the worship band yesterday was awesome. i'm not going to be my usual ego self and say that i was super good. but i'd say that joash did a good job of pulling the band together. ian's acoustic playing made quite a difference. on the slow songs that gave me lots of space to do intersting act pro stuff. like stacking 2 delays and trying to copy some hillsong stuff. i need to learn to break out of the major scale. it gets boring after a while. i felt quite lousy playing one way at home. it seemed quite hard. but that was the song that got me two ticks from liz. yay. learning to master my effects makes a lot of difference. although i think that i should get more bottom end on my palm mutes. maybe a round of tweaking on the stupidbox would solve that problem. and i need MORE gain. i used to be a 'just max out the gain' dude. then i became a 'light over drive rocks' dude. then now i'm going back to 'get more gain'. crunchbox? punchtone? hahah. noooooo.... i dont want anymore drives. wait a minute. who am i kidding. i want more drives. haha. but i'll need a clean boost soon. this is bad. i've gone from talking about worship to gear. my goodness. i'm retaraded. i be readership has gone down beacuse of all the gear talk. only john understands half of what i'm talking about. anyway. back to worship. bryan improved so much. and tiff was good too. and ian was showing why he's still better than me. i'll just stick to hiding my lack of skills behind a wall of sound made by my pedals. haha.

walking around IMM at 10 plus in the night is intersting. watching the guard tell your friends that the playground is only for 12 and under is even more amusing. eating cakes at night is unhealthy. keeping late nights is worse. the best cure is trying to set up your pedalboard such that you can engage your DD-5 and your SRB/SK at the sametime. oh well i'm quite proud of the way i arranged my board. its quite a good one. i can tap on all the sounds i need... i feel like making a 5 stage looper. like soon. depends. i should drop electric guitar for a while so that i can study. but i'll make a looper in my free time. ARGH a looper is going to cost man... soldering iron. solder core. wires. jacks. switches. LEDs? drill. enclosure. lemme get my earphones first.

if you want to know what i was trying to do. go listen to no-one like you. from the united we stand album. you'll hear cool effects in the background and YES that's a guitar not a synth or something else. its a bit of delay with volume swells. you can hear that he makes sort of a mistake when the guitarist's fingers slides across the fretboard then you hear it amplified by a few million times because delays are unforgiving b****es and your mistakes will be delayed also. so it'll be even more obvious. haha. so get your parts right before using delay.

i am remindered once again why i hid behind my guitars. they are my form of escape. escaping from all these nonsense. i got shouted at because i couldnt see the motive behind packing up my board. packing up my board takes a good 5 mins. and eveytime i play i have to unpack and pack that's 10 mins of my time. well my father claims that someone will trip over my pedals and die. yes no shit kids. die. and while practicing some cool stuff like delay+volume swell+ovedrive i got told off. "what are you trying to play." "can you stop playing this scary music". oh well. trying to get clever with the guitar and you'll just get told if you're in my house. so no volume swells combined with delay. kids its scary and your mom is likely to find it satanic. man am i a genius or what i've found the secret to satan's tone. he uses a freaking DD-6 that's set on effect level full and feedback level all the way down and the delay time as desired. and he runs that into a DD-5 that's on mode 10 with effect level and feedback level at 12 o'clock. oh oh oh. before that he has like 3 overdrive pedals on so that he can get feedback. play with the volume knob on your guitar and *cheer* you get satan's tone. or rather sound. control the feedback with the volume knob. fun stuff. but warning lucifer and co. might pay you a vist. my skills are taken for shit. and taken for nothing. my talent is considered as bull. if you study hard and play bass maybe your cable can be left there on the floor for a week. but too bad. i'm the electric guitar obsessed kid so maybe that explains why i dont get to leave my board around. heh.

i think i'm quite a shy guy. i dont talk to people. i wait for people to talk to me. heh. well at least when i grow older i keep my mouth shut more. unless i'm around people i'm more familiar with. i like to hide behind my guitar. heh. i should learn to talk to john and yimin more than "eh you should get _____" or "eh yimin how to play naive". i'm starting to sound like a boring guy. well maybe i am. haha. ahhh been listening to the kooks. naive. the studio version sounds like cool hollowbody teles with the slightest bits of gain. well i like that tone. but its kind of thin. oh man. here i go again raving about this and that.
on a side note. i'm starting to study. yay. (lol naive has this part where the singer sings a note that's the same as what the guitarist plays. haha) i should work hard. get to poly. then move on to being a rockstar.

my ipod is hanging on me. my brain is lagging on me. its bad. on the other hand i go acoustic versions of 'take it all', 'from God above' and other stuff. now i'm inspired to play acoustic again. haha. so fun.
the moral of the story, if there is one, is never ever ever underestimate the power of, no its not "i'd like that", its the guitar. haha.
