my sister chris came for a visit sans children & it was awesome! she stayed for 5 days & after she left we all missed her very much. we had 2 sunny days & on one of them we took chris to our favorite place...the boat launch. thank you so much for coming "aunt kissy".

reese lost another tooth. aunt chrissy was here & was shocked at how calm she remained when her dad pulled it out. apparently, cousin livvy goes through an exorcism when her teeth need to be pulled. this morning she woke up & has two more loose teeth. by the end of the month there is going to be one big gaping hole. yikes!

i thought i should probably post evb's 2nd birthday. i think christmas was still on the girls' minds because they woke us up at 7:30am to open presents. you can see that it is still dark outside. she stood holding her present while we sand happy birthday & after we sang "happy birthday day to you!"....she added an enthusiastic "CHA-CHA-CHA!!!". Oh, how i wish that i had been video taping it. it was so cute.

last night evangeline got out of bed & came out to the living room.

"What are you doing out of bed?"

"I lost my sheep"

we found the sheep.

20 mins. later.

"What are you doing out of bed?"

"I lost my sheep".

the sheep was laying right on her pillow.
one more time....aaron heard her crying, "are you looking for your sheep?"

"no, my paci-pier"

maybe her new nickname should be "bo peep".

"you can call her evangeline, ev, evb, van, what ever you want. my nickname is deuce & reese's nickname is marty."

until that moment i totally forgot that reese asked me one day how come i named her reese & i said it was because i really liked the name. she replied with "how come i couldn't have a cool name like marty? maybe that could be my nickname".

when neal was here i wanted to get an updated family picture. so one day we went down to the harbor which could not have provided a more beautiful background. we have a very busy little evb & we couldn't keep her still. here is what i think is the best shot of the day. at least she made it into this picture. i guess we will have to try again. phooey.

today i had a meeting & when we got home aaron was working on his computer in the living room. evangeline walked up to him & touched his arm with her pointer finger & said "cheese touch". i about died laughing. fyi, it is a theme & line from the movie "diary of a wimpy kid". just think it is funny that my not quite 2 year old is giving her dad "cheese touch".

right before christmas we were watching "how to train your dragon". the older girls had already seen it but neither aaron nor i had. a little ways into the movie reese pipes up & says "if night furies are real (a type of dragon), then they are mexican." say what? she further explained that when hiccup meets toothless (the night fury) the music playing in the background was mexican. well, it turned out to be more like irish music but still....she is always surprising me on how perceptive she can be.
