LOVE

I just love these two!

Visits with Friends!!

Our friends Jeremy and Kellie Bryson came to visit us the first week in December! Kellie came for a week and Jeremy came for the weekend. We went to New York City, Saratoga, made candy, ate lots of food, and had so much fun! Here are pictures with Kellie after Jeremy left. I'll post the New York Pictures later. In no particular order we have:

Yummy Caramel!

Feeding Katie solids for the first time! She has been staring us down as we eat so we knew it was time to feed her. We kept laughing at all the fun faces she made.
So happy to eat!

She really did like it!

Our yummy turtles!

It snowed for one day so we made a snowman and had a snowball fight. Kellie taught Abby how to make snowballs.

Abby is still learning how to aim!

Kellie's Beautiful Snowman!

Giving the snowman some lovin!

We had so much fun and want our friends to come back and play!

Gingerbread House!

For family home evening in early December we made a Gingerbread House! We invited our friends, Tio Miguel and Aunt Julie, to come help us decorate! Abby had so much fun. Here are some pictures of our fun night.

Abby and Miguel decorated the entire house! We let Katie lick a gumdrop and her eyes got huge and she got so excited! No more candy for her!

To entertain Abby during the cold month of December (it really was the warmest month that New York has had in a looooong time) I got Abby activites from Michaels and Target for everyday. Here we have Abby painting a Christmas Tree. Her favorite was painting of course!

My Sweet Girls

Abby and Katie get along so well. I love them so much. Abby loves to 'read' books to Katie and Katie thinks it's the best thing.

They are constantly on the ground together snuggling or playing.

Birthday Party with Friends!

Abby went to her friend's, Clara, birthday party on December 5th and had so much fun!! It was a Rapunzel party and all the girls dressed up like princesses and put hair pieces in their hair. Abby's looks so real. Here are some pictures.

They played Hot and Cold with a crown. Here is one where a friend is searching and everyone is telling her if she is hot or cold.

I videod Abby's turn.

Abby had so much fun that she cried when it was time to come home! Let's just say she gets so excited whenever the word "Party" is mentioned.

This is Halloween!

We had such a fun Halloween! We bought a pumpkin the day before Halloween and it was itty bitty but John and Abby still carved it.

Before

After

We had Mike and Tina over for dinner and we made the scary faces again for dinner (I didn't take any pictures this time. Look at last years post for pictures.)

Abby was Minnie Mouse and Katie was a flower.

John and Mike went to a cousins soccer game while Tina and I trick-or-treated with the girls. Katie and Tina went to 5 houses then headed home to hand out candy.

I just had to get a close up of her silly face! So cute!

Abby and I met up with our neighbors and trick-or-treated with them for a while. Abby was brave with her friends and would tell me to wait at the bottom of the driveway. One time, she was getting candy out of a bowl and when she turned around there were two girls in scary costumes. Abby got so scared! She screamed and started running, tripped, fell, her candy went everywhere, she got up and kept running while crying. I, of course, started running towards her and I grabbed her and snuggled her. The girls were so nice to take off their masks and help pick up her candy. I showed her that it was only girls dressed up and Abby went back and got her pumpkin bucket and said hello to the girls. I was worried about nightmares but she didn't have any. She was so cute and had so much fun.

John snuggled the girls when he got home. We had such a fun night!

Where does the time go?

Time has just been flying for me and I am behind in everything! Katie is 5 months tomorrow and Abby will be three in February. We have been in New York for almost 2 months now and I am slowly making friends. John has been called to be Gospel Doctrine Teacher in church and I am Ward Chorister and Young Women's 2nd Counselor. We are staying busy and I am still working on the house.

Katie had her 4 month check up in October right after our trip to Vegas. She has grown so much! She was 12 lbs. 15 oz. and 23 3/4 inches long. Just this last week she started laughing. Abby can always make her laugh. Katie loves to stand. I think she will walk before she actually crawls! Abby is still a little rough with Katie but Katie takes it in stride. They are best friends already... always kissing and hugging.

Snow???

It snowed twice before Halloween. Both times it snowed over 1 inch and it has only happened four times since 1880. We got two of those times! I made Abby wait until John got home to go build a snowman. She was so excited. Here is our first snow adventure in New York.

Even Katie got all bundled up to go out in the snow!

Katie lasted about 5 minutes outside, then demanded to come inside.

Abby didn't want to stop playing!

After all the excitement, Katie fell asleep within 3 minutes!

I love my family!

The next morning Abby had to go outside before all the snow melted. Good thing it did or we would be ready for a trip to San Diego or Austin already!
