So Cal Ragnar Relay!!!

I talked all my siblings into doing the Southern California Ragnar Relay which was 203.5 miles long. It started in Huntington Beach, headed inland through Anaheim and Corona, hooked up with the 15 South until the 78 West then headed down the coast until Coronado Island. It was soooo much fun! Our team consisted of the following people: Wendy and Aaron Tibbitts, Aaron and Kenzie Quiggle, Julie Winegar, Stacy Roy, Kellie Bryson, Rob Harmon, Quent Heiden, Tony and Melissa and myself! Spencer Winegar was a driver for Van 1 and we had Kelsey Grover, Linda Harmon and her friend as volunteers (each team needs 3 volunteers to participate). The first day got up to 109 degrees! It was so hot that we ran out of water. We stopped to support each other a lot and walked more than planned that first day but better to go slower instead of getting heat stroke! Here are some pictures of our fun (the first half are mine and the professional ones are Linda's)!

Kellie and Rob
I'm getting some water from Tibbitts!
There was hardly any shade on my run so whenever I found any I walked in it!
The night and next day were beautiful so we did well those days. Rob almost done!
Poor Tibbitts had to stop at a light right when he started.
 Go Team!
Kellie's family came out to support us and they even dressed up! They are so much fun!
Here I'm waiting for Kellie to come in so I can start my run. The very last one! Poor Kellie had to run an extra 2 miles because someone took a direction sign so she didn't turn when she was supposed to. We waited for about 20 minutes to give her water but no runners were coming by...then a whole group of people showed up so it wasn't just our team that had to do a couple extra miles.

Almost to the finish! I ran a total of 18.5 miles (my sister got sick so I ran part of her leg to add a few extra miles).
The finish line at last! Everyone waiting for me then we all jogged in together. Our official team time was 33 hours 1 minute and 10 seconds.

I love Rob's face in this picture!!
A major night time exchange (major exchanges are when both Vans meet up and trade off the slap bracelet and minor exchanges are just to exchange the slap bracelet to another person in your van)
Part of Van 1 and Part of Van 2
We decorated our van and here is our team name, "Quiggle It, Just a Little Bit". There were so crazy names and crazy costumes for other people!

I'm laughing hysterically because I am cold and not excited to do my last run. Sooooo tired.

Kellie with her sisters and fantastic Mama Bryson.
The Team waiting for me to make it to the finish line.

Our team shirts that show where we ran.

Crazy pictures of me and Kellie.

Field Trip to the Fire Station

We went to a fire station for play group April 18th. Abby had so much fun with her friend Lily. They were so cute together and actually paid attention! Here are some fun pictures from this event.

They held hands the entire time!

They even were allowed inside the truck!

Abby was so excited to get her hat! It was the sensation for the day.

Piano Girls

I can't believe Katie is tall enough to play the piano!!

Katie loves the ABC player on the fridge. She is constantly standing up and dancing to the ABC's. She is such a good dancer!

Easter

We had such a fun Easter! Unfortunately, John was out of town for the first two weeks of April so he wasn't able to celebrate with us but we still did our best. On Saturday, we dyed Easter Eggs! Abby had so much fun. Of course I stripped her down but I put her in a cute little apron.
Grandma and Grandpa VanDerwerken came over and helped make eggs and them helped the girls hunt for plastic eggs after! Abby was a big girl and didn't need any help but Grandpa helped Katie find her eggs.

Abby was so proud of her eggs! Of course she had to open hers and Katie's (she might have switched a few goodies with Katie's too)!
Katie thought it was all fun but couldn't stop crawling all over me and eating the plastic eggs!

The next morning was Easter. The Easter Bunny came and left a trail! Katie was quite interested...

Abby quickly found her basket and looked through everything. She laid it all out neatly only to have Katie crawl over and play with it all.
We then got ready for church. Abby was so excited to take a picture in her new Easter Dress! She was adorable!
Katie was delicious as always in the dress John picked out for her.

After church while I was making food for dinner, Katie found a stray Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. As you can see she loved it!
We went to Grandma and Grandpa VanDerwerken's house for dinner. John's cousin Mary Kate has baby pictures that look just like Katie. We will see if Katie grows up to look just like her!
There was an Easter Egg hunter for the kids. Abby had so much fun with cousin Sophia that night too!

The girls never stayed still long enough to get a picture of them together! This was the best I could get.

We had such a great Easter but we missed John. I was fine without him for the first week but by the second week I was ready for my husband to be home. I am so thankful for my husband and the support he gives me. This trip made me realize how much he helps when he gets home from work.
