I specifically scheduled my surgery so that the kids would have about a month getting adjusted to school and back to school activities before I would be out for a little bit. A lot of August and September was spent watching Brody play football. And I loved every minute of it!
This was our first scrimmage against some older kids and he scored his first touchdown!
He was not used to getting tackled and he cried a few times after getting hit pretty hard! Thankfully as the season went on he got a little tougher!
It was so fun seeing his teammates all congratulate him after the touchdown run!
Gran B went with us to Meet the teacher night!
Meg and her teacher (well at least her teacher for the first 3 months of school)
Meg had been wanting a picnic by the pond all summer long. Finally we were able to do it!
Looking sharp in his neon colors for the first day of school!
I sure love when she has a cute little bob haircut!
Walked into the living room one day to this! Annie was thrilled!
Little sister put in some serious hours at the football field!
My sweet college girlfriends all met in Edmond for a birthday/pre-surgery dinner for me! I always have so much fun with them and the time always goes by way too fast!
And then they were super awesome to come watch Brody's first football game with me! He definitely had the biggest cheering section!
For some reason he decided to get dressed in Bryson's clothes!
And Meg in mine!
Cowgirl day at school!
Bryson spent the last bit of August and first part of September on a dove hunting trip in Argentina. I would say he managed to kill a few!
And I think he had a great time with this group of guys!
Because we are pretty much crazy we decided to finally start building our house right when Bryson left for Argentina and right before my surgery!
Went to the first OU game with these cool guys!
OU football games with him are pretty much my favorite thing!
I had a special treat for Meg the week before my surgery. I had to go down for all my pre-op stuff so she came with me so she could go to the American Girl store!
She wanted twin babies so bad!
We loved having Mimi with us!
She may have loved the little puppy most of all!
Sweet girl eating with her babies!
And getting her dolls hair done!
Love hanging out with this sweet girl!
We stayed in a hotel that night and I loved seeing her wrapped up with all her babies!
And on the long drive home she finished her very first chapter book. She read the whole thing to me out loud!
The big kids went back to school before Georgia so I took advantage of this and had a fun little afternoon with her. We went to her favorite place to eat (McAlister's) and to paint pottery!
Meg got out of the bath one night and came in like this and said, "I'm done". She looked and sounded just like me!
We love when Aunt B comes to town! Meg gets fun new hair dos!
