Other Christmas Fun

Thought I could put all our other random fun pictures here!

We had Baby C and her parents over for dinner one evening to exchange Christmas presents!  I can't believe she is celebrating her first Christmas and will have her first birthday in less than a month!  She was so much fun!  The kids received their presents from Nana and Papa in the mail that day and so we let them open them too.  They were happy kids!

On the Sunday before Christmas Meg wanted to wear her "fancy" dress to church.  I think she looks adorable!

One day when Brody was at school Meg begged me to go eat at the Pig Shop in Pauls Valley.  So I asked mom if she wanted to meet us at Jingle Jangle to decorate a Gingerbread House and then go eat lunch together!  Little Miss loved decorating her house and loved eating all the icing as she decorated!
I had to check Brody out of school early one Monday to go visit the dentist.  The kids were both awesome while we were there and we had zero cavities so I surprised them by taking them to a new activitiy in OKC called Adventures with Santa.  It is in the new Boat District along the Oklahoma River.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but we all ended up loving it!  First up was the zip line!

You are supposed to try to drop a present in one of the chimneys.  Meg didn't want to go so Brody got to go twice!

Meg did the peddle cars while Brody enjoyed the bungee trampoline!

Wore himself out doing this!

Then it was on to the moon bounces!
 Then the rock wall!
Then the mechanical surfing.  Like a mechanical bull but even better!
Then on to kayaking!

Meg sat out a lot of activities but it didn't stop her fun!  They both had a blast.  And at only $10 a kid it was well worth it!
Meg finally decided to do the bungee trampoline and she loved it.  Both kids have been begging to go back!

Norman Christmas

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with my mom's side of the family!  I am notorious for being late to these family gatherings despite the fact that I live the closest.  So this year me and the kids got there very early (Bryson had a work trip and wasn't able to make it) and had some great photo opportunities before it got too crazy!
Grandmother and Meg.  She just turned 80.  Doesn't she look good?

Brody showing off his sweet side!

Bumpy and one of his girls!
 Mimi and her girls!
Brody got behind the camera for a bit!  Meg was being so sweet and lovey that day.  Especially to Uncle Matt!

It's hard to get a picture of all four of them....but we did it!

Hannah had made the cutest song books so we could all sing Christmas carols.  I loved this addition to our normal Christmas activities.  You can see Brody laying on the stool and what he thought about the singing!
The opening gifts was more his type of activity.

A rare picture of just me and Kena!

We all enjoyed visiting and the kids enjoyed playing.
A great way to kick off the Christmas festivities!

Gingerbread Christmas

Meg had her Christmas Party at school last Wednesday and I snuck in as it was starting and she didn't see me!  I got to watch how she really is at school and I loved it.

Singing the "Open Shut Them" song before eating snack!
She spotted me and was one happy girl!

While the kids were eating a surprise visitor came into the room.  All of a sudden the kids were done with their snacks when they saw the man in the big red suit!  Cooper was the first kid Santa called to sit in his lap!  He was a pro!
About half way through it was Meg's turn!

She gave Santa a big thumbs-up!

And before we snuck out she wanted her picture with one of her favorite teachers, Teacher Laura.  Meg talks the most about Laura.  She always tells me about what Teacher Laura's hair looks like, what she wears, what she says....you get the picture.  If I wear my hair a certain way she will sometimes say, "Teacher Laura wears her hair like that".  Yep....she's got her own little fan club in Meg!

Afternoon Ice Skating

Can you tell that I absolutely love all of the fun stuff to do in Oklahoma City during Christmas?  I love taking the kids to do things that aren't available year-round.  And the fact that the weather has been amazing around here makes it even better!  One day after school this week we met up with the Alexander kids again to do a little ice skating at an outdoor rink in Norman.
After spending quite a bit of time trying to get the right size skates with decent laces and getting them on the kids and laced up tight enough....they were ready to hit the ice!

She managed to stand on her own for a bit but preferred to hold my hand or the wall!

Her and Case made lots of laps around!

Brody and Cooper made me super nervous.  They were flying around that rink.  I kept asking that Brody slow down but he didn't listen!

An employee told us that the orange cones were to give the little ones some extra support.  It worked amazing!
Meg decided to lose the skates and had a blast dancing out on the house.  She of course got Mandie in on the action too!  I'm going to be sad when all of these fun outdoor activities are gone!

Snow Tubing

Last Sunday the Alexander's invited us to go snow tubing with them!  This is one of our favorite activities to do at Christmas and it was more fun doing it with friends!  After getting all checked in we headed to get our tubes!  Meg stuck to the little slide so it was a little easier getting her picture!

All smiles after her first time down!
 Ready to go down again!
These two are so cute together!  Such messes!

Meg goes back and forth on whether her name will be Meg Cunningham when she gets older or Meg Alexander.  It depends on what boy has made her mad at the moment!

Silly faces!

These two were both so happy to be snow tubing and were so sad when time was up and another group had their turn!

Dog Pile!

Meg insisted on getting our picture.  I was surprised by how well it turned out!

Hanging with Mr. Cooper

Last week Carolina had a work meeting out of town and so Meg and I were thrilled when she asked if Cooper could hang out with us for the day.  It had been a long time since these two got to hang out all by themselves and Meg had made it clear that she wanted to "do lots of arts and crafts and go on big adventures" when Cooper was at our house!
We started off painting some ornaments!  They both were very serious about their painting.  Then we went up to Brody's school and visited with him while he ate lunch.  Then I took the little ones to Chick-fil-a!
They were more interested in playing than eating while we were there so around 1:30 they both started to get a little hungry!  They thought they were big stuff getting to eat on the couch with the trays while they watched tv!

Then it was time to make peppermint kiss pretzels.  They took this job serious too!

And managed to sneak as many kisses in their mouths while I wasn't looking.  I caught Cooper though!

We finished up our time before getting Brody with some play-doh fun!  Once we picked Brody up from school we all played outside and had a blast!  I hoping for another opportunity to keep him real soon!!!
