Many months ago Brody came home from school very excited! The 2nd grade would be putting on a musical and he was selected to be Papa Bear. But that wasn't what he was most excited about. He was most excited because Jaelyn had been selected as Momma Bear. Now I am not sure if I have mentioned Jaelyn before but this is a girl in his class that he has had a crush on since the beginning of school. Brody later informed me that when his music teacher had asked who wanted to be a lead in the musical that he only raised his hand because Jaelyn had raised her hand and it got him to thinking that maybe she would get picked and that he would get picked. It cracked me up coming from Brody!

He did awesome at all 3 performances that day and nailed each of his speaking parts! I was so proud of how far he has come. In kindergarten he flipped out at the last minute when he was supposed to lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance.
