Christmas Day

After opening presents Christmas morning we all loaded up and headed to Sulphur!  The rest of the family were anxiously awaiting our arrival!
Hannah and her Mimi had been busy in the kitchen all morning!

The kids went straight to the presents!  Counting exactly how many each of them add.  Meg won for the most presents this year!

Somehow we bribed them to pose for a few pictures before opening presents!

Cousin Love!

Over the years I have realized that Brody and Meg are two of the most awkward present openers ever.  Even on something they are so super happy about getting they just don't typically act very excited.  It's weird.

But this year Meg acted a little over the top excited about the simple things

And she couldn't have been more thrilled with this panda vest!

And the amount of fun Huston had over these sunglasses was hilarious

We were lucky to have some beautiful weather that day so the boys enjoyed some basketball

And us girls enjoyed some monopoly up in the tree house

And of course they managed to squeeze in some football
The kids got lots of snuggles with Mimi and Bumpy

And the kids made a thousand trips back and forth between the house and the barn and treehouse.  And the adults played about a thousand games of dots in the 48 hours we were there.  It was a perfect Christmas!

Christmas Morning

We always have one kid who can barely stand to sleep on Christmas Eve and another one who doesn't really want to wake up so early on Christmas morning.
Brody was pretty insistent that it was time for Meg to get up!

He was pretty pumped when he realized the games he saw were for a new Xbox.  He had been asking for one for the longest time and we had told him "no way".

There was a big box for both of them

It took them a while to figure out what the gift was all about

Finally realizing that it was a trip to Disney World!
The boys thought they would quickly put together the x-box and play for a bit before we left for Sulphur.  It was at that moment that we realized it was not as simple as electronics back in our days!

Meg was happy to spend some time playing with all of her art goodies!

All "KD"

Such a fun morning full of sweet surprises!

Christmas Eve

We enjoyed a very nice and relaxing Christmas Eve.  My favorite part is getting to have breakfast with the Cunninghams and exchange gifts with them!
I love how much our kids love each other!

Little Miss Ruthie

She's the cutest!

That afternoon we exchanged our little family gifts!  Meg knew exactly what to get Brody!

And she got a rare hug as a thank you!

They also got to open their presents that Nana and Papa had sent from Florida!

Meg kind of liked her gift from Brody too!

He loved this weird zip up hoodie!

After the most pleasant day of playing and being lazy the kids sprinkled their reindeer food out on the yard!

And Meg baked cookies for Santa and they called it a night!  Anxious for what awaited them in the morning!
