Camilla and Olive

Today Camilla and I went to Headland (near Dothan) to visit one of my best friends, Stephanie and her new baby girl Olive who is only 2weeks old. We had a great time. It is amazing how much babies grow in such a short amount of time. Camilla and Olive are only 3 months apart but Camilla was like a giant next to little Olive!!! She is a beautiful little girl but unfortunately for her parents she has her days and nights mixed up! I am sure she will get this worked out very soon!

Camilla picked out one large pumpkin and 2 baby pumpkins!!! They also have a petting zoo, corn maze, barrel train rides and more....she will have fun doing these things next year!

Camilla is excited about going to the pumpkin patch!!!

Off we go on the hayride!

Baby Dedication

On Sunday, October 19th, we had Camilla's baby dedication at our church First Baptist Church of Montgomery. This is a ceremony where we, as parents, dedicate our children back to the Lord and the church family also pledges to help us to raise godly children. It is a sweet ceremony. Camilla wore a dress that Little Mama, my grandmother who passed away last November, made for me when I was a baby! She also wore her monogrammed panties from Nana and baby ID bracelet that is engraved with her name that her Aunt Brenda gave her. After the service, we had lunch at our home. We had several family and friends attend including my parents, Marty's parents, my sister Kelly and her husband and my best friends Cameron and Caroline. It was truly a special day!!!

A pewter comb and brush set from Cameron and Caroline engraved with a "V"

A cake knife set from Nana and Papa (my parents). It is engraved with "Camilla Avery Vice" and "We love you Nana and Papa" in the corner. This is for her to use on all of her birthday cakes and then on her wedding cake one day...how special!!! We used it on the cheesecake at lunch!
A New Testament Bible holder and diamond cross necklace from Aunt Kelly and Jonathan.

A Carter's outfit from Mimi and Pop (Marty's parents)
Camilla had a long and exhausting day and fell asleep playing that evening!

Olive is Here!!!

Last night, Tuesday, October 14th, at 11:19 p.m. one of my "bestest" friends Stephanie and her husband, David, welcomed their sweet baby girl Mary Olivine Maddox (Olive) into the world. She weighted 8lbs 3oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. We have waited a long time for this little blessing from the Lord!!! I am so excited and can't wait to meet her! Camilla is also excited about meeting her new best friend. I know this because she told me...haha. Here are some pictures that David emailed this morning!!! She is beautiful and I am told she has tons of dark hair!

Star Struck

On Sunday, October 12th, Camilla met her first celebrity, Chipper Jones from the Atlanta Braves in Auburn of all places. As many of you know Marty is an autograph collector and we heard Chipper was going to be signing autographs at the Academy Sports in Auburn we (I mean Marty) had to go.

Waiting in line patiently...Camilla was an angel. She didn't cry once.

Isn't this what a stroller was made to carry????

Camilla finally gets her autograph! Can't you see how thrilled she is!

Marty and Camilla with Chipper. I basically threw Camilla into Marty's arms to get a quick picture. They were rushing us through the line!!

Camilla Meets MawMaw

On Friday, October 3rd, we made our first trip to Tuscaloosa to visit Marty's family and to go to the Alabama/Kentucky football game. While we were there, Camilla got to meet her great-grandmother, MawMaw. Here are some pictures of her first visit.
