there is really nothing interesting happening in my life now. everyday is like a routine to me. no work. no worries. i just wake up everyday and play my online game thats all. as simple as that.

i need a job... and i need it fast...

most of you must have been wondering, why am i not online for so many days. the answer is that i have started working at a computer company in the "singapore computer systems". good job? hahah.. not good for the indexing department.

DAY 1
i went to bedok to report for my 1st day of work. i was lost at the compound and there was this cute, pretty girl(long hair, around 17-18 yo) that brought me to the place. damn, wasted.. didnt talk with her. (did i said before i am a shy guy?) initially, i thought i will be working with yazid. instead, i am working in the indexing department. so whats indexing? you are given many many articles from different countries(indonesia, thailand, brunei, singapore, etc) and are supposed to type out the required information. basically, the date, title and source. the more you type, the more you earn. i was first taught how to use the program and then it was all by myself. it sounds easy. but when it comes to type articles from other countries, its hard as i dont understand malay, indian, etc. damn.. i typed about 1900 indexes for the 1st day without break and lunch. non-stop shit.

DAY 2
i went to the company again to report for work. maybe i was slow for the 1st day, thus i didnt type much. so, again, i worked non-stop. no break, no lunch. result was about 3000 indexes.

so how am i paid?

there are many incentives, but only for special shifts or condition, so i will only explain the basic ones.

each index earns $0.011
more than 3000 index per day earns an extra $3

i am good in mathematics, so i did the calculations myself.

DAY 1:
1900 x 0.011 = $20.90

DAY 2:
3000 x 0.011 = $33.00 + $3 = $36.00

Total:
$56.90

i earned a pathetic pay of $56.90 in 2 days, without break and lunch. wth.

there was this experienced auntie that told me she can typed at most 4000 indexes a day.

lets see:

4000 x 0.011 = $44.00 + $3 = $47.00 per day

47 * 20 (mon-fri) = $940.00 a month

i got to type real fast to earn a pathetic $940.00 a month. why not work as an admin assistant which earns a standard pay of at least $1100 a month(can be even more than $1800). and i get to take breaks and have my lunch.

and the place is like a sweatshop. imagine a working in a lan shop. 3 rows of tables with 30 over computers in a room. 30 people typing real fast. all you can hear is the sound of freaking keyboard. damn. everyone rushing to type articles. and tell you what. 1 index can be more than 10 words and 1 word can be more than 5 alphabets. hahah. try typing chapter 1 of "lord of the rings", and i give you $10. cheap labour yeah?

i dont get it when why such a lowly paid job is so hot among the people. all the 'o' level people are very satisfied with the pay. the slots are fully booked if you are not fast enough. damn.. its as if its the "hottest" job in town. lol. and i felt that i am underpaid... subconsciously seeing so many "o" level people working and an 'a' level guy working and getting the same pay seems a bit unfair to me.

so "bye bye" to all the pretty girls in the company(a lot). this job is not for me. hahah. if you are superman, this job is for you. imagine you are superman and you can type real fast. its a bit unfair to be paid by the number of hours you work. if you are paid by the number of indexes, you are rich man. you can earn a thousand bucks or even millions a day.

hahah. in summary, this is not a job for human.

WHAT WILL BE THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW?

it has been raining like nobody's business since december last year...

i was watching "the day after tomorrow" that day. it was damn cool. the special effects and of cos the storyline. its raining now. soon, there will be tsunami and before you knew it, you are trapped in your home. and next, the weather will turn cold... hahah. die humans. oops... the rain is really spoiling my mood. all my outing plans are ruined because of it. damn.

i have just submitted my resume to the trusted hub for a data entry position. (Trusted Hub's shareholders include Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd and main-board listed Singapore Computer Systems Limited and Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited.) i hope i can get in and work together with yazid. life is boring and i have been wasting my time slacking at home. so why not convert my time into cash? anyway, i am broke. i can gain experience too since its a big company.

chinese new year is around the corner. i have got to lose weight to look better. so today is again the start of my no-dinner-diet campaign and it will last for a month. sian... i got to do the "mind over body" thing again...

3.03OE-A + IR Shell + Nethost = Super Cool

life is getting boring... i shall start submitting my resume next week...

i managed to flash my psp to 3.03 Open Edition Revision A. i almost fainted since there is risk involved when flashing the psp. either you succeed or you will brick your psp which means that you will lose a psp and gain a paper weight. i chose the manual way instead of doing it using an easy installer, actually its not as difficult as it sounds, so it will not be a problem if you follow the steps closely.

there are many new functions to it. all the cool stuff you can get in a psp. muhahah. in my opinion, 3.03OE-A is better than Devhook.

i also installed the IR Shell v3.0. its damn cool. you can manage your psp's memory stick using the IR Shell without the need to connect to the pc. edit, rename, copy, paste, delete, everything can be done using the psp. and guess what. i can use my psp as a remote control also. cool yeah? wait till you hear this. using IR Shell with Nethost equals OWNING... UNSTOPPABLE... BEYOND GODLIKE. i can stream musics, videos, pictures and games wirelessly from my pc to psp without any cable. in addition, i can transfer files wirelessly using wifi. i can now transfer files in my living room while watching tv. cool!!

i sleep till 1100am every day. wake up and have my lunch. watch tv during the afternoon. do my workout with my dumbbells. go for my runs at night.

firstly, i would like to announce that i, vincent wee, have ROD-ed from the army. from now on, i am a civilian. isnt that great? there are both losses and gains. although i gain my freedom, i lose my company from my friends. i dont get to see them as often. but what to do? in this era, change is the only constant. i am slowly walking to a new phase in life.

i went back to camp today to collect my long waited "pink ic". initially, i got a problem with the ORD treat. no matter how i calculate, 4 regular pizzas seemed like they are not enough for the guys. not enough to "choke" them to death. muhahah. so i ended up deciding on 6 medium ones.

i ordered the pizzas only when i reached tampines waiting for bus 29. only then, i found out that delivery service starts at about 1030am. wth. so i waited for 30min outside camp like a suspicious chap. taxis were honking and stopping every now and then to check whether i was waiting for one. it was so embarrassing.

we had a great time at the specialist mess finishing 4 of the pizzas. mdm agnes was there sharing with us some funny jokes,her encounters and her weird pronunciations. hahah. then, we brought back the 2 other pizzas back to office to share with the rest.

i was like waiting and waiting and waiting for 2wo bala. i waited for 3-4 hours for him to return to issue my "pink ic". wth. i had to cancel my gymming session because of his inefficiency.

dark clouds are gathering and it is starting to rain. oh gosh.. i am supposed to go for a run today. damn! how can i lose 10 kg more in 1 month?

totally miss you guys out there. out there in the army, in nsots, providing a service to the nation to protect the weak and the sick civilians like me. =D
