Alex's Baptism

My older brother Darren, his wife Lori and their son Alex.

my nephew Eli
(that's his mom Ginger in the back)

Willow holding little Eli

My nephew Alex was baptized on October 10th. Just before Alex was confirmed they asked my dad to bear his testimony. My dad talked about the day my parents brought Darren home from the hospital and how happy they were. He compared it to how happy Heavenly Father is when we choose to be baptized. It was so sweet to listen to my dad share his testimony and then hear my older brother Darren confirm Alex. I was so grateful I was able to be there and I am so grateful for the family I have.

AFHS Homecoming 2009

AF Football

How proud am I to see an AF Football jersey with the name "Virchow" on the back?!

AFXC
American Fork Cross Country

Josh is in there somewhere.
There are about 200 runners.
Josh always runs with his sunglasses on.

After finishing the run...
the sweaty aftermath.

Josh has been running cross country at the high school this year. He loves running and wants to train for a triathlon. In the cross country event there are usually around 200 runners. They run 3 miles. You have to finish in the top 20 in order to place. At Josh's last meet he came in 13th overall! He ran it in 17 minutes 55 seconds.....unbelievable! I am so proud of him. I told him he's running for the both of us.

Willow's 13th birthday

Kylie & Willow
at Boondocks

Willow's 13th birthday was on September 14th. She wanted to take one friend and spend the evening at Boondocks. We had so much fun. It's hard to believe Willow's at the age where she can do her own thing with her friends....the age where she doesn't always want to be with mom (especially if teenage boys are around).

I've watched Willow absolutely blossom during her first year at Junior High. Tuesday is my day to carpool the 7th graders from our ward. There are 5 girls and 1 boy. I love to listen to them talk to each other. They call each other "home slice" and talk about a boy they've nicknamed "Creepy Cameron." It's extremely entertaining.

So many reasons I love my Willow....
*she can always sense if I'm having a bad day
*she is very creative
*she has taught herself how to sew
*she always makes sure everyone is included
*she has an eye for fashion
*she has her own style and makes flower clips to match her outfits
*she is compassionate
*she sings along to the Mamma Mia soundtrack with me
*she wants to be in church every Sunday
*she prays for guidance
*she is self-confident
*she can always make me laugh
We love you Willow Marie!
