SO were you right???

OK here it is......

I guess I don't have to say IT anymore because "it's" a

B O Y ! ! !

can u believe it??---- 2xs I have been wrong!! And many of YOU were to!!!! lol Now I know how many of you knew how much I did want a girl and truthfully I did... I thought if the ultrasound said BOY I would cry and not be able to handle another crazy, wild son around here but the funniest thing happened when she asked " so what do you think it is??" I said "girl" but in my mind in that moment ( and the smile on the techs face **wink!!) told me "Oh my its a boy" and sure enough PLAIN as day it IS a boy!! lol At that moment I tell you no lie--- my whole heart was filled to the top with wonder and amazement and true happiness and a bit of shock... :) I do know that God will only give me what I can handle and another boy... bring it!! I am sooo ready to meet my man in a little over 22 weeks:)

Cookies, Cookies everywhere

I lOVE love to bake.... so we had our Kids cookie exchange here last week then last night went over to Dee's house for a grown up version- all the cookies were so pretty and it was so much fun- now I just need to make sure not to eat every single cookie and to S H A R E!!! tee hee! :) SO many more kiddos came last Thursday but I was to much enjoying all the babies to take pics :( here are a few though..... :)

PS- stay tuned Christmas Day to hear the BIG news!!! What do u think B O Y or G I R L???? leave a comment please, please I want to see what everybody thinks!!

A Merry Little Christmas......

I usually am not one to blog my feelings or too many deep thoughts ( lol that makes me sound REAL smart huh?? ) mostly I like posting pics, but have to tell this story.......

Our Sunday School class sponsored a family this year- well actually quite a few of us knew of families that needed our help so we all pinched in however we could...... I was totally excited - as a family we try and do something each year to help out and this year this particular family touched me...... A family of 6 ( 4 kids) who's dad can not find work- the mom works as much as she can but they still struggle to pay the bills and this Christmas could not afford utilities much less presents for the children. We got everything ready and this morning Jeremy dropped of the gifts- he called me soon afterward to tell me her reaction( you know I want to know it ALL!!) .... shocked was to say the least, was her reaction ! He opened up the front of his truck where a few of the gifts were and Jeremy said she was thanking him and could not believe it that our class would think to give her family all of this.... then he opened the back of the truck and her eyes pretty much said it all- tearing up she said thank u again and just couldn't believe what she saw ( to think she was so happy with the few gifts up front! :) ) Hearing Jeremy tell me all this I was sooo soo happy not because I or my family had done much or to brag about on the blog, but because I totally know that feeling I believe she had when she saw it ALL...... My first Christmas with Kayla I had a small apartment and Christmas Eve really was no different than any other day that year because I just didn't have anything - nor did Kayla realize we had very few things..... The next morning I looked out my door and saw that someone had left ALL these gifts all nicely wrapped with pretty bows and stockings for me and Kayla FILLED with goodies...... It was a Christmas I truly will never forget:) I did find out later the people that had blessed us that year-- I too, found out the the husband of one of the ladies had sat out in his car all night to watch over our gifts- because of the place I lived, not the safest- he wanted to make sure all was there come Christmas morning... I wonder too if he saw my face that morning and how in disbelief I was that someone would care so much and to not even know me would show me such love... much like I imagine what Jeremy saw in this woman's face today...... Christmas is such a special time of year not only do we celebrate Jesus' birth but the love we all have for one another and Christs love for us through others.... love you all and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! sorry so long but had to share!lol

so I did it.......

U might not be able to tell but I can - I took Cash Tuesday to get his FIRST haircut! I still like it long but my friend who cuts hair ( yet I can NEVER get in to see her!!! lol) did the honors- she actually took quite a bit off -my pics are mixed up the 1st is after and the 2nd before---- is everyone proud??LOL I guess since he isn't going to be my baby any more and it was all in his face it was time-- but I did cry a little bit ( how silly I know!) to my Big boy who will be 3 in Feb!! Love you Cash
man!!
** notice how he has his lovie in the before shot- he was NOT happy about getting his hair cut but warmed up quick to Mrs. Kim!! :)

I'm on a roll....

Have so much to catch up on but here are the details of our beach trip...... Went to a yummy, fancy place for Thanksgiving lunch I had to use my best manners! Took kids to the children's museum ( WAY fun if you are ever at beach you HAVE to go to it!), to the Aquarium, tried going to beach but pretty windy and rainy and COLD :), SWIM, SWIM, SWIM is really what we did most - the kids loved the indoor water park the hotel had and Jaxs went down all the slides even the 3 story tall one- I was scared to death to see my little boy climb those stairs but he did .. over and over and over again! We got to chat with Santa and he even gave us our gift early( read blog below). I have to, toooo many pics to bore you with so here are a few and YES my tummy is getting big ( along with other parts of my body! lol) I won't take many pics while preggo so enjoy this one Ash! We had fun , I was ready to get back to the house and get me decorations put up... still to do hopefully tonight we will go get our tree. and the best part Emma thought about being home? The Elf's: Ben, Shirley, and Sharon have all ready arrived!

What did I say YES to???

Can you only guess what we have chosen to add to this family!!!! I know I think I am crazy too- I so did not want a dog but J and the kids did and they really have shown me they can help out ( we have goner through a few dog tries! :( ) Jaxson had his allergy test a while back and dogs are not on it so that is a blessing ( I think!) We are pleased to announce the arrival of 10 week old Petunia Pearl Curtis Walser to our gang:) The kids were SUPER excited Santa brought them their gift a little early this year........ She 's so ugly she's cute but shhh don't tell the kids I said that!

Thankful....

This Thanksgiving is different from the years past because we are going to the beach and will not be going over to Maw-Maw's house.... I will miss all my family tomorrow but will get to be at the beach and Paw-Paw Ken will be joining us and no cooking ( not that I do a WHOLE lot of cooking for Maw-Maws house though lol)! The other exciting part is we will be gone 10 DAYS!! This is one of the great things about homeschooling we can be gone that long and still get school in!! I want to wish all you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING and I will miss you all so much but will for sure take plenty of pics and hopefully blog while away so you can see what us Walser's are up too!!

recipe...

NO I didn't make MORE donuts lol! but had a few asked on how to make.. here are two:

don't forget to check out blog below-- YES I did TWO today--- to much time I guess I have on my hands... ha ha ha.... I have tears in my eyes from all the laughter.. time? whats that?????! enjoy:

Easiest way:
1 can of buttermilk biscuits
punch hole in middle with thumb or can cut out with a small cookie cutter and make donut balls with middle....
heat oil in pot and fry each side only a few minutes each till golden brown.
dip in melted chocolate, sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar, or coat with powdered sugar:)

just as easy just a little more messy:

HOMEMADE DOUGHNUTS

1 c. milk, scalded
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 pkg. yeast
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg
Confectioners' sugar

Pour milk over butter and sugars; stir until melted and cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, stirring until dissolved. Sift flour, salt and nutmeg. Gradually add half the dry mixture to milk; add egg and beat well. Add remaining flour and leave dough in warm place for 1 hour. Knead gently, roll to quarter inch thickness and cut into diamonds. Allow to rise 30 minutes to 1 hour. Fry in oil, 375 degrees and dust with confectioners' sugar or use confectioners' sugar glaze if desired.

Too Early for Christmas????

Well not for our Paw-Paw Ken!! lol A few weeks ago we all went over to help him set up and decorate his house ( well Amber and myself did all the hard stuff hee hee!!) but I did get a few pics- the girls were much more into a photoshoot than the boys... if you can't tell since ALL of them are just of girls!!! It did feel kinda early but with this cold season and Thanksgiving next week I can say I am ready for Christmas now!!! If only we could have snow and be stuck inside for a few days... MaYbE!!:) lol

donuts:)

I do not post a lot of homeschool stuff we do and well we haven't done alot outside of the house other than coop and our art program because I haven't been feeling great.. btw think its getting better I am going every other day not getting sick so that is a sign of JOY to me!! ...... anyway we are learning how to make things our own instead of buying all ready made and I saw a recipe for homemade donuts so the girls and I tried it out while Jaxs got to go on a playdate at Joey's ( thanks Nora!!) Cash did help but not much-- he gags at anything that feels funny to him so the dough he didn't much like! Anyway enjoy the yummy looking donuts- we made chocolate, powdered, and cinnamon-sugar..... next we will make more and make deliveries!!!

PS- Daddy- we didn't have a grease fire- I was WAY careful!!!! lol

I am so glad too because I have not scrapbooked this event ( surprise, surprise yes I am behind in all that right now!!) but I must have let this one go in the "scrapbook when I can pile" verses the "have to scrapbook NOW" ;) Anyway this was early last year and look how little Em looks! Daddy was painting her nails ( can u tell he was/is Mr. Perfect-don't- get- anything-messy..... she's in the tub with a cloth down..) but her smile says it all-- she LOVES her Daddy and LOVES spending time with him by herself- they paint nails quiet often now and I must say he is MUCH to good at it!! lol enjoy! 5 little pumkins....

We are trying to learn this song for fall season and I just think its cute ( keep reading ........)

Here it goes:

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

First one said, " Oh my, it's getting late."

Second one said, " There are leaves in the air."

Third one said, " But we don't care!"

Fourth one said, "Lets run and run and run."

Fifth one said, I'm ready for some fun."

"ooooh" went the wind.

Out went the light.

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

OK so the reason I shared this because this time next year we will have 5 little pumpkins in our house!! Yes... you r guessing right- we are pregnant- well I AM! The kids found out last week and Jaxson said he all ready knew ( a baby girl named butterfly is what we are having he says! what?? lol) so told ya to keep reading!! We are truly blessed and while I am a little nervous to be in charge of 5-- God is in charge of ALL of this and He knows what the plan for our family is:) So I am about 8 weeks and due early June ( June 2 is DD)- probably May with the way I go, but we shall see!!! So anyone who has seen me lately ( or NOT seen me....) I have been REALLY tired and feeling pretty yuck, hopefully that part will be over soon though:)

Let the comments/calls/questions begin!! lol

Pumpkin Time!

This morning, though rain threaten every hour on the forecast a group of us set out to go to a corn maze, a hayride, and of course to pick PUMPKINS!!! It really only drizzled once and even though at the end ( well middle!) of the corn maze we all were ready to get O U T the weather was great and loved the fellowship of friends that came along:) Here is some of the fun pics ...... Will have to make a photobucket one soon- way too many cute kiddos:) I would rather post pics to tell story then have me type anyway!! Lets see how many pics can we fit...... have fun-- we sure did!
PS- Dawn- these are the pumpkin tie-dye shirts we made btw!!

Happy Birthday Paw-Paw K!

Sorry so late! We had a blast hangin with you Paw-Paw Ken--- riding the train (or light rail!....??) and the cool place Auntie Amber picked was sooo much fun- the boys waffles were HUGE! It was such perfect weather, walking around near downtown or is it considered uptown? Hope you had the best day and hope this year brings you so much love and laughter! :)

Love you so much xxoo

Fall here we come!

I LOVE this time of year! The smells of fires being started and hopefully someone roasting marshpillows ( as Jaxson calls them!) and inviting us over, making all the yummy treats - I even am trying out making dried apple rings as I type this so we shall see how they taste, I do love dried fruit ummmmmm and candy and sweets lol, all the pumpkins being set out and yes I even LOVE Halloween-- not so much ( or at all) anything scary about it and sometimes I even feel like I shouldn't like it so much as it IS a kinda pagan thing lol, but I do! I love seeing my kids dress up and love having my friends over for chili, and checking through all the candy the kids get ( u do score when you have 4!!!) :) . This year has been full speed ahead and shows no signs of slowing down, I have yet to decorate my house for fall and then comes yummy Thanksgiving then.... my FAV Christmas!! Wow I gotta get to it don't I tee hee!!

Here are some pics from a few weekends ago- we went to the Mint Hill festival soooo fun me and Kayla chickened out on the Ferris wheel but Cash, Jaxson, and Em loved it! The other pics are of Mr. Froggy we found while planting our mums ( it IS a school project you know learning bout plants and HELPING mommy!! lol) If you look on the last pic - the frog landed on Jaxs head! He thought it was so funny! My friend Julie would probably disagree!!!

see you guys xxoo
