Week At A Glance- April 19-25, 2008

Saturday*Mom's BirthdayPhotobucket
My sister's and brother and spouses, all went out to eat with my parents tonight for all the April birthday's we have. (Forgot to take a picture)!
Monday*April's Birthday (Sister)Photobucket
Tuesday
*Hershy Track Meet for Carter
Carter participated in the 50 meter race, 100 meter race, and the softball throw. He made it to the semi-finals in the 50 meter and won first in his group but not overall. They do it by all the times, not just one race.
Wednesday*My Dad's Birthday
I found this really good picture of my Dad and Cody a long time ago and couldn't resist.
Thursday*Kinley's Kindergarten Field Trip
I drove 4 kindergartner's to the "Bean Museum" at BYU today. I was surprised because it was actually very refreshing. On the 10 minute drive there, they played "Star Wars", "House", "Tom & Jerry", "Disneyland"! And those were only the games that I caught. They had so much excitement for even the littlest things at the musuem. And we only stayed there for 30 minutes. Perfect for Kindergarten !
Friday*Kirsten's BYU Graduation (Dallan's Sister)
Dallan's "Baby" Sister who is soon to have her "baby" graduated from BYU today. Congratulations Kirsten. Sorry, Wrong picture(color) for BYU graduation!
*As you can see we have had quite the busy, yet fun week!!

Happy Birthday Mom (Late) & Dad

My parent's birthday's are both the same week. As I was trying to find pictures of them to do a slide show, I couldn't find very many pictures. Then I realized that this is probably in itself a tribute to the lives that they lead. They are always in the background serving and doing what ever needs done. They aren't worried about being in the picture or getting credit for the things they've done. Thank You Mom & Dad for your incredible examples you continue to be to us. We loved spending Srping Break with you guys. It was a blast. FYI I am goig to make sure that you are in more of our pictures from now on, so be prepared!! We love you.

Fun at the Condo in Las Vegas

We played basketball with the cousins.PhotobucketPhotobucket and the Kinley and Toren loved playing on the playground.Photobucket
They are talking through the playground phone. Toren couldn't reach it, so he just lifted himself up to talk!Photobucket

Hoover Dam

One of the days on our Las Vegas trip, we ventured out to Hoover Dam. It is an amazing sight. We walked across it with the kids. Their favorite thing was not the majestic, historic, monument we were looking at, but the fact that you could spit over the edge of the dam, and a spit ball would come flying back up and hit the cars going by or even people. (Dallan found that out the hard way by hitting my sister with a spit ball)Gross!!!(No picture of that, Sorry)

Swimming in Las Vegas

We spent 80% of our time in Las Vegas in the water. The place we stayed at had 3 pools, 4 hot tubs and a lazy river. The lazy river was where we spent most of our time. That is except Toren. He loved the hot tubs and wanted to be there the whole time.

Bass Pro Shop in Las Vegas

Photobucket
We went to the Bass Pro Shop in Las Vegas. It is kind of like the "Cabella's" of Las Vegas. They had animals and birds (dead, of course) all over the store. The best part was an amazing aquarium. Lots of fishes!! The kids had fun.

Spring Break 2008

We went down to Las Vegas for Spring Break. We stayed in our condo and it was beautiful. I will have a couple of different slideshows because we had so many pictures. This was the view outside of our balcony. It was so fun and relaxing, I almost didn't want to come home!!

March Catch Up

So I am trying to catch up on the month of March. I just can't seem to make the time to sit and do things as they happen. Yes, I do work better by procrastinating and then doing lots at one time. Crazy, I know! I will have everything on in the next day or so, so be sure and scroll down as I will do them per date.

Montana

Photobucket
We made a very quick trip to Montana this last week. Camron called us and said that he was graduating from the Job Corp program and wanted us to come to his graduation. We left Wed. morning at 3 am and drove to Ronan, Montana. (10 hours). It was awesome to see his graduation. Job Corp is on a Reservation and so we got to experience some culture there with drumming and chanting throughout the ceremony.
Photobucket
He graduated as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Photobucket
We also got to meet Camron's Fiance, Hajime.
Photobucket
After the graduation, we went out to eat with Camron and then we drove another one and half hours by Flathead Lake to Cassie's.
Photobucket
It was fun to see Cassie and Scott Photobucket
and their cute cabin. Photobucket
We got to see a little bit of Glacier National Park in the wintertime the next morning and it was beautiful. Photobucket
Then we drove 12 hours back home. So basically we drove 24 hours within a 48 hour time period. Good thing we didn't have our kids or that could have been very interesting. It was well worth it though to see Camron and also Cassie & Scott.
