Meet Laney...

Her mom is my SIL, my maid of honor, and one of my best friends. We've only been official family for 2 years but our history goes back so much further than that...
Fast forward 9 years, and she is now the new mom of beautiful little Laney Kathryn!
Laney couldn't have asked for better parents than her and Eric, and Walker and I are so excited to have another niece in the family! We spent the whole weekend with this sweet little girl nestled in our arms, on our chests, or on our laps.
Her Zoolander face...
And finally, her way of letting me know I had taken entirely too many pictures of her :)
Congratulations Lele & Eric!!

Oh, babies!

I love newborns and children in general. Thankfully, my super-fertile friends and family members have kept the little ones coming!

Last Thursday I flew out to Houston to meet Claire and Reid's new baby, Charlotte. Claire is one of my best friends and roommates from Auburn, and watching her become such a fantastic mom has been a joy to witness. I spent at least 2 hours each day with beautiful little Charlotte asleep on my chest, and 2-year old Lucy kept me fully entertained and laughing all weekend. I miss them already!

As I was preparing to leave on Sunday, I got the phone call that my SIL Lele was in labor! Sweet Laney Kathryn made her debut early Monday morning, weighing in at 6 lbs 15 oz.
Some additional great photos can be found on their friend Emily's blog. Tons more pictures to come after this weekend!!

Memorial Day

Last weekend Walker and I loaded up the car to head back down to the beach for the holiday weekend, adding Lizzie and two of our precious nieces along the way! The house we stayed at is on the Gulf behind a barrier island, so the water and beach are more like a bay. Bella LOVES it there (see last year's post), especially when the tide is out, which is how we found it when we arrived. Notice our little athlete's mid-sprint stance...
We again enjoyed a weekend beautiful weather - a perfect mix of sun and clouds with a slight breeze as we lounged on the more traditional beach at St. George Island.

We played contently,
enjoyed the water,
napped,
played in the sand,
and enjoyed watching all the seagulls.
Our lab-trapped-in-a-shih-tzu-body loved her time in the sand and surf as well...
So hard to leave the peacefulness of this place and go back to the real world...
Hope your holiday weekend was equally as relaxing and enjoyable!
