Still here!

My apologies for the lack of blog posts lately! Things have been hectic in our house and there is honestly not much news to report these days. Walker is working horrific hours during his busy season, and I am coming off of an acting internship that kept me busy at the hospital. I am now in the process of studying for Step 2 of my national boards, as well as applying for residency.

YES, that's right folks, it's finally time to start working on life post-medical school!! For those of you who read this blog who I haven't seen and talked to at the numerous amazingly fun weddings we have been to this summer, I will be doing a residency in Pediatrics. I actually loved several of my third year rotations, but it was my tiny patients at Children's Hospital that stole my heart, and I am excited about the direction my career path is headed. I likely won't be blogging about my interview/application process much since this blog is public and I'm not sure who reads it, but for those who are interested, interviews will be Nov/Dec/Jan, and we will find out where we will be spending the next 3 years of our life on Match Day, March 17, 2010!

My big camera doesn't transport well to wedding receptions, so unfortunately the good times had went largely undocumented on my end, but here are a couple compliments of Jennifer from Fran & Jay's wedding... (Pardon the glistening. Those who know my husband know that when it comes to wedding receptions, he is not known for standing idly by the dance floor.)

And finally, meet Bella & Stella, clearly BFFs and miniature bundles of adventure. Who ever said small dogs were meant to sit in laps? These two are clearly more interested in the great outdoors.

Distraction time over. Back to studying :)

Reunion!

Guess who came to visit?
I have been blessed with amazing friends throughout the various stages of my life, but I think there is something that is always unique about best friends in college.
So much change and growth happens during those 4 years, and living together during that time of transition at Auburn will no doubt always hold some of my fondest memories.
This particular reunion was centered around Krisha, Lilley, and Krisan meeting the newest member of our crew visiting from Texas, baby Charlotte.
She has a ridiculous head of amazing hair, and I found myself always sort of petting her when I held her, which, let's be honest, was a lot. I am not known for being the great sharer of babies.
This little bundle of brilliance and hilarity kept us fully entertained all weekend.
Our time together was short, but we managed to squeeze in some of our favorite activities, including mexican, Big Blue, and plenty of this...
Despite our geographical differences and busy schedules, we usually manage to get together at least 3-4x/year. It typically takes us less than a month to get the next gathering scheduled, so we always have something to look forward to!
