She's Crawling!

Yep my baby is crawling! Has it really been 8 months since she was born? and now she is crawling?! It's so cute though. She smiles so big when she is doing it. I know she is think "what a big girl I am" or "you can't just walk away for just a second anymore mom" :)

It's just another ordinary miracle today!

Died and gone to Heaven!

So if any of you know my daughter Kendra well you know what her favorite food is.....CHEESE! Blake and I were making chili for dinner tonight and like any night or any meal for that matter if you ask Kendra what she wants to eat she ALWAYS sayes cheese. Then we proceed to tell her what's really on the menu. Well Blake thought...what would happen if I only give her cheese?...not just a string cheese (which is staple in our fridge) but a whole pound of cheese. We always put cheese in our chili and Blake was getting a new block out to grate but decided to just give it to Kendra to see what she would do. She thought she died and gone to Heaven! She said "okay" and started munching. After a few laughs from us and pictures we had to cut the dream short, but now I know she really means to have just cheese for dinner. :)

After dinner if she eats her dinner all gone we give her a treat...usually some mini nilla wafers. Well we just so happen to have a can of cool whip in the fridge (cause I had a coupon...other wise I never buy it) and on the back of the box of nilla wafers it gives the suggestion of a little cool whip on top with strawberries. YUM!!! by the way. As I was spraying little dabs on her cookies I was sneaking spritzes in my mouth. (You have to by law if you have a spray can of cool whip!) So she thought that was cool looking and opened her mouth wide and stuck out her tongue for a try. I went ahead and gave her spritz and she thought that was the coolest thing. Forget the cookies mom this is much funner! OH the fun un-healthy way's to have desert :)

Christmas at last!

Wow I know it's way past Christmas but I have to share our fun Christmas. I've been to busy to update so I finally downloaded our Christmas photos.

We had such a fun Christmas eve. Blake's brother Jason was able to come up to Logan and spend the night. He was going to hitch a ride with us to Vernal in the morning. With the huge storm that was for casted for Christmas day we didn't want to make any stops we didn't have to. So he came with us back to Logan. We had a yummy quick dinner and then read the Christmas story from the scriptures as fast and and as descriptive as we could so our 2 yr old could somewhat get an idea. Put the girls to bed and went downstairs to do the last minute wrapping, and setting up.

Kendra got a doll set that included a baby swing, high chair, car seat, bouncy chair, diaper bag, and stroller. It was so cute! She takes her baby (any baby that's in arms reach) everywhere we go in the car seat. It's so cute to see her caring this baby around like a little mother. She is going to be a great mom some day! And a present for me but her as well was a potty... I am going to do the potty train in a day method. I just finished the book so it's going to start...wish us luck!
Trisha got some new bath toys. Her sister is learning to share her bath toys but sometimes it doesn't work out...so we got some just for Trisha. Kendra doesn't even touch them. :)

BUT....the best present ever....is the car! Yes the fire engine red ford mustang convertible. Blake won it through his work (ya the only time they are ever getting a car for Christmas! And only because it was free!!!). We hid it behind the kitchen counter so Kendra wouldn't see it first. I wanted her to enjoy her other gifts for a moment. Then when all the presents were opened Blake took Trisha and put her in the passenger seat and then he and Jason pushed the car out while I had Kendra closing her eyes. I wish I got a picture of her when she saw the car! It was classic. Eyes wide open with her mouth in the biggest grin. I was cute. She ran to the car and jumped inside. She pushed all the buttons a million times, the radio, horn... then her uncle Jason taught her to push the pedal so it will drive. :) She got it down but I think it will become easier in the summer when it's outside and she has somewhere to go.

After all the fun excitement we had a yummy Christmas breakfast and started our trek to Vernal. The snow came earlier then it was for casted so we started in a blizzard. A four hour trip turned into six. It was scary but we got there. I read the book The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck the whole way to everyone. So that made it not so white knuckle for me cause I wasn't focused on the road. The girls did so good too! Kudos to them! I only had to feed Trisha once otherwise she slept the whole way. Kendra had her movies and books. So all of us were entertained somehow. Vernal was great! It's so fun to have the whole family together. We had some great times out sledding in the backyard. Played...sang...drummed to Rock Band. It was fun!!! After all was said and done the trek home was not bad. No snow.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Thank you for the card's and updates on your family's. Here's to a new year! Love you!
