Whats up with the Waltons?
Well we have been busy! Let me give you a quick rundown:
- Mr Finn is 7 months old and is a little monster
- Amira is practically 3 going on 13.
- Arami is rapidly growing in both Body and Spirit. Like a sunflower tall and beautiful.
- Maira is showing more and more of her personality everyday and is making leaping strides with swim team. Pecking on the door of advancing to Silver.
- Reiley is 5 months away from being a Deacon and learning to handle more and more responsibility.
- Stacie is not only Mother Extraordinaire... but also shuttle driver, chef, accountant, referee, cheerleader, teacher, Girl Scout troop leader, and supporting wife. I have often said I work to pay her wages.
- I am the oldest member of our Bishopric at 37..... Having been called as second counselor 2 days before my birthday.

Introducing....
Finn Oliver Walton...March 15, 2010 10:57pm...9lb 1.5oz...21" long
Our little miracle was born at home on Monday night, in the presence of mom, dad, midwife, midwife assistant, paramedic, EMT, 2 firemen, and various other friends and family members. It was a very exciting evening that culminated in a fun ambulance ride to the hospital. Details are available if you want to hear the story, but you have to call me to get them!!!
Finn was having a little trouble breathing, so he had to have some help for several hours. He laid peacefully on a warm bed with a "tent" over his head.
We stayed in the hospital for less that 24 hours, and are very happy to be home with our whole family.

Don't fall over
...but I am going to post with photos and all.
I am almost 39 weeks now, and have been on bedrest for the past 2+ due to high blood pressure. I just want to know how you poor women who need to be on bedrest for LONG periods of time do it. This is miserable. My mom has been up here taking care of my family...I know, I am lucky. But I can definately see an end in sight, which helps keep me sane.
I had a friend take some preggo photos of me, these are from last week...I know I said I was on bedrest, but I really did only get up for moments at a time to snap a shot or two. She did a great job, and I am excited to have some shots where i actually look decent for prosperity.

Thoughts of an expectant father
Last night while getting ready to brush my teeth, Dave was watching me and here is how the conversation went.....
Dave - Wow! Your belly is getting BIG!
Stacie - Yeah, I know, plus I gained 3 pounds in the last two weeks.
Dave - Well, isn't it normal to gain, like, 10 pounds a week.
Stacie - DAVE...that would be 400 pounds!
Dave - (laughing) I meant during the last few weeks.
Stacie - No David...it is NEVER normal for anyone at anytime to gain 10 Pounds in ONE WEEK!

Cookie Conversation
Maira and Arami are selling Girl Scout Cookies! Fun, I know. (There is the plug if you want some).
I was at my brother and sister in law's home yesterday and Bert told me about his phone conversation with Maira....
Bert "Hello, Wagners"
Maira "Um, hi...my mom says that Aunt Diane wants some cookies....so....what do you want?"
Bert "Uhhhhhh...let me get Aunt Diane"
Now...he felt it was quite refreshing to have somebody get to the point...instead of leading up with a big story, trying to get some sympathy or whatever.
I was a little embarrassed by the superior phone manners I have obviosly (not) taught my daughter, but overall, it was good for a laugh last night.

Bad Words!
This evening as part of our family night, we discussed words that should not be used in our home. Among the words in this list are things like "shut up" "stupid" "quit it!" and other not so kind things you don't want to hear your kids say.
David asked the kids to participate in coming up with this list...they were quite helpful, and it was a nice productive evening....then Arami says (thanks to Grandpa Dick I'm sure) "How about if we don't say 'Oh SH*T'"
Ummmm, yeah, you think! David, along with my other small children were able to control their reactions, but I am going to blame the pregnancy on the fact that I practically fell to the floor laughing!
