Hope (11th April) dangles on a string.

School's becoming a black hole of project meetings, presentations, assignments & tests.
Social life's becoming a snow-white sheet of paper which give awful paper cuts.
And life's becoming a gloomy black-faced, white-clad bitch.
So I'm becoming really tired and jaded.

Other than being busy, I dont know what else to describe how life is right now. Everyone's trudging along, hanging on to the bleak hope that the Summer Vacation is coming SOON. (Tell me that 7 weeks is soon!!!?) Oh well... I'm whining so much, im irritating myself.

So, anyway, my lil cousins came over to have dinner at my place last sunday. They were making one heck of a ruckus as usual. Their dad (my uncle) is a strict vegetarian and forbids his family members to eat meat as well. He told them that if they eat fish, they will become fishes; if they eat pork, they'll be reborn as pigs, to be eaten up by other humans in their next life. If these principles are true, then wont my uncle be reborn as VEGGIES to be eaten by humans too??? A worse scenerio would be being eaten by caterpillars or locusts. Urgh. Well, honestly, having a balanced & beneficial diet is more important than what you believe you will end up as in your next life. I sympathise deeply with my little cousins, even though i eat enough greens to be a pseudo-semi-vegetarian. Haha. After dinner, I was happily blowing bubbles from this 4 year-old bubble solution to entertain them. I'm a professional bubbler now. Hurhur.

I had Poledance level 2 class 1 on Monday evening. It's freaking tough! Blah. I need a personal trainer to increase my strength. Climbing the pole was fun though. I swear I look more like a kanjiong monkey scampering up a tree than a seductive pole-dancer. Hahaha.

Creative Thinking classes have started on Tuesday and my class is full of Social Science guys. I appreciate their great sense of humour. I'm sure i'll get along fine with them. In fact, my socsc friends have somehow told the class guys that there was a poledancer in their CT class. I was like HOW PAISEH LAH?! Hahaha. But it was rather funny. Then, Young asked me, "Why am you like that?" "Like that" because according to him, I dont behave like the typical Accountancy girl. Well, maybe cause nobody knows that i'm from ASOC, other than the Asoc people. Maybe 'cause I'm technically Half-Soc Science, even though I havnt done any SESS modules at all. So apparently I'm an urban legend. I'm so unlike Asoc, yet Soc Sc people doesnt really know me & i hang out so often at SIS building with my SIS friends and then some people think im from Business. Phoar. I didnt know I'm THIS COOL. haha. I think i have an identity crisis.

Talking about crisis management, I have a major crisis brewing at hand. I'm totally swarmed with work. My to-do list expands by itself. I dont know how to deal with it! I swear its black magic or something. Alright, I'm exaggerating. I suppose I still have a life-jacket on, floating around on the surface of the deep blue sea. I'm alive but still exposed to the brutal elements and 100% vulnerable. My life-jacket may pop any moment, but lets hope it lasts me for 7 more weeks and hopefully I'll be saved by a passing lifeboat by then. My fingers are crossed, my toes too & I can even cross my legs while im perched on the pole. (It's Freaking tiring by the way. haha.) Wish me luck.

VEGAS NIGHT

The banquet table centrepiece-
floating tealights & crimson rose petals.
The atmosphere was semi-romantic & semi-glamourous.
At least, the room was filled with numerous beautiful people.
Must be the evening wear dress-code.
Suddenly everyone's a prom king or queen.
(Except yours truly, who couldnt be bothered...)

So this afternoon was spent dressing the tables,
Fixing the table cloth and skirtings.
I cant believe how the guys managed to screw up such a simple job like that.
It looked downright horrible before we girls went to the rescue. Haha.
After all that hard work,
We just planted ourselves in the chairs nearest to the Buffet table.
Then, Andrew insisted on proving his photography skills,
Thus, Candice & myself cant help but oblige him.
Not bad. Haha. Okay... Fine, You're Professional.
I remember being extremely hungry at this point in time.
Thank goodness, we got to have dinner soon after.
FYI, the Pasta sucked.
Oh yeah, i know that Candice has gone through a really rough patch recently,
& i really admire her courage and her strength of character.
Take good care of yourself, girlfriend.
Love you, muacks!

Say Wai, Andrew & moi.
I dumped all my chips with SW cause i was too lazy to gamble.
The blackjack tables were crazy. Packed man.
We had real dealers in vests & stuff from the Gaming School.
Well... I dont think I have had much luck tonight.
In fact, I lost 5 bucks worth of chips playing 大小!
Hurhur, I'm a loser.
But I think SW lost all the chips Candice & I gave him. Haha.
Anyway, I think gambling brings out a fascinating array of human emotions.
You see either wildly ecstatic or terribly upset people at the gambling tables.
(The latter wasnt obvious since its no real money involved.)

The 3 of us with ELVIS & MARILYN MONROE.
Cool beans huh?
Elvis is really Elvis man.
Monroe needed a bigger mole.
Anyway, I have a polaroid picture of us with the BUNNY girls.
As well as one with MICHAEL JACKSON.
Hahaha. MJ was hilarious.
He was neither dark nor white enough to be MJ,
But his effort made up for the lack of it.
He could have brought along a little kiddo with him or something too! Hurhur.
Too bad, I cant post the two polaroids up here.

Final group picture before Dorothy (girl in multi-coloured top) left for her hot date.
Where's everyone?
Felix left earlier, Cindy is busy with chingay 2007, Zhi Hao is away in Kinabalu, I believe.
Justin MIA-ed due to personal reasons. Where are Karene, CK & the others? :(

CNY MAMBO

CNY has been kind to me so far. Except for the fact that I got really ill on Tuesday afternoon. I kenaed food poisoning of some sort, which meant I almost ruined Elvin's party lah. So paiseh. Thanks a million to Tanu, Elvin & his family members for taking care of me. :) I owe you guys my LIFE. Haha.

On the same day (CHU 3), i visited Justin's new place after Elvin's party. Its gorgeous!!! I'm so envious, I wanna be his house-mate!

Moving on... Well, last night was a good MAMBO experience, as compared to my first. Which was mainly smoky & filled with boring music.

Phuture was boring at the beginning, then it got slightly better. But WH & Co are such big mambo fans, they dragged me away to go to the main room. Then i met my friends there, ALOT of them and other familiar faces without names attached. Haha. Mostly SMU people though. Its practically a school bash.

So after i was getting comfortable in Zouk, i found out that i didnt have my phone with me, then i flew into a panic. Thank god for Mad finding my phone on the dance floor at Phuture. It probably flew out of of my clutch when i was waving it around. Haha. Super paiseh.

Anyway, there was a lot of drama involved, on top of my own hysteria (due to the prospect of losing my phone). Firstly, we were trying to plough our way into the human entanglement. Huiting was leading the way, holding onto my arm firmly, but we got stuck halfway anyway. Then there was this horrid guy who tried his darnest to cut in between us, even when there was hardly any breathing space. So i was being shoved/pushed around by this offending person, and i knocked into another guy just behind me. I was saying sorry profusely and he was really nice and understanding about it, after which he was trying to help me across the idiotic obstruct. He was shielding me, guiding me forward and everything. Ahhh, i'm Uper touched. PLUS, hes cute too. Haha. Well, to whoever you are, thanks for helping, i really appreciate it. :) (FYI, I was gushing about him to my friends after that. haha. *blush*)

After I found out that my phone is safely with Mad, i fled Phuture and went back to Zouk. I was quite irritated by the warmth & high couples which hog a lot of space when they lean backwards. Its like an elbow-festival or something. Hmph. Well, after my girlfrens left me, i was pretty much left alone with my guy friends. But they were good company as well. Thankfully, the music got better after 1am. At 2+am, we were thinking about leaving, then it was " let's leave after the next song", "let's leave after the NEXT song" and there were endless "next song"s. Haha. So we finally left at 3+am, close to 4am. By then, my feet were killing me. We did some walking before going to Zouk and try dancing frm 11pm to 3+am non-stop in heels. It didnt help that Leon & company wanted to go to SHELL station, which is really far away (when your feet hurt like crazy). I enjoyed the bottle of cold mineral water though.

These guys were quite amusing, cause i was watching them attempting to copy Justin Timberlake dance moves from "My love" at the Shell station entrance. Haha. Anyway the biggest discovery was that LEON is from PEI HWA! He's my primary school senior (gosh!)& we were reminiscing about flooded canteen and the teachers. Haha. Next, another surprise, he used to stay at RAINBOW GARDENS too! I stayed there til i was 3, which was around the same time when he did too. So we were almost neighbours. How cool is that? Haha.

Chinese New Year gets better every year

Presenting the Hougang Fun Fair!
Its officially named UNCLE RINGO EUROPE FUN FAIR,
but lets stick to the former...
because the latter sounds rather paedophilic, dont you think? Haha.
Hougang is HIP for once.
We travelled 1 hour for this man.
& i spent about 20bucks.
I'd say the time & money was well-spent,
as long as you brought along some great company.

Entrance fee is 2 bucks.
You'll get a lousy paper ticket.

Ferris Wheel!
One of their main attractions. :)

The mandatory Carousel at all fun fairs.
We didnt take a spin on it because we couldnt afford that luxury.

Game stall! With instructions I didnt understand.

The ride called SKY RIDE.
Lovely ceiling.

It's like a giant Merry-go-round on strings.
I know its damn fun,
with the wind in your face, air between your toes kinda feeling.
But my wallet's too spacious already.

Finally, my beloved Ferris Wheel.
At least, it resembles the real thing.
I'm afraid of heights,
But i cant believe that i screamed a fair bit while we were going up.

So when I finally got comfortable enough,
Cam whoring starts.
Left to right: Mad & Hua-
My 2 favouritest girls on Planet Earth.

POLE!
Haha, we had to have a picture with the pole in it.
But I was too freaked out to do anything constructive.

View of the Funfair from the Ferris Wheel.
I love it.
It was brimming with colours & lights & all sorts of people.

Another shot.
Another part of the Fun fair.

My favourite aerial view from the top.
Anyway, I was pretty high after the adrenaline rush.
So we were happily waving to the guys who were too Macho for the ferris wheel.
BUT, they thought we were embarrassing
& refused to acknowledge us.
Some nice (sympathetic, maybe?) people waved to us instead.

I heart ferris wheels.
Now i want an authentic one.

Tadah! Highlight of the night is called THE CHALLENGER.
I was screaming my head off on this one.
It's the best ride there.
Its like a viking ship which spins at the same time,
at unbelievable speeds.
I couldnt walk properly after I got off. Haha

Alright. This picture is really funny.
Because WH BUANGED THE DUSTBIN(foreground),
when she was trying to park her car(background).
Hahaha. You go girl.
No space? Just MAKE SPACE.
At least we reached our destination in 1 piece.

Supper destination: TONGSHUI CAFE.
Gosh, not enough people know about this late-night treasure.
Haha, i'll be glad to keep it all to myself.
More Cam whoring.

Harry's super power Fried Rice. :)
This is posted just for The Elvin.
Good night.
Thanks to everyone who made my CNY day 1 so extraordinary.
Love you all. muacks.

Happy Valentines' Day.

My V-day was a (tiramisu) CAKE.
I had it & ATE it.
Muahahaha.
Many thanks to Zhi Hao,
who gave me my one & only rose.
You're SHO SWEEEET.
So let me count all my gifts.
1 flower from Zhihao, 1 bear hug from Justin &
all the (un-expressed) love from the rest of my friends.
Haha. (Neh-neh-ni-poo-poo!)
Hope you had a great V-day!

Technically, these 3 guys were my V-day dates.
Left to right- Elvin, Lionel, Ian.
Well, too bad I cant show you the real pictures.
They were at their spastic best last night.
I'm so proud of them. :) Haha!

Cam-whoring alert!
From left to right,
Serla, Tanu, Lionel & yours truly.

EK won my "Best-Dressed" Award on V-day.
He beats me hands down.
Cos my tee only says," If you're RICH, I'm $ingle."

The "Act Cute" Moment with (aunty) Elvin.
Darn, he's more kawaii-neh.
Look carefully, can you spot WALLY (Ian)?

My party of friends who kept me happy on V-day evening.
Thanks for the company!
The guys gave us 3 things.
Their company, sense of humour and their retardedness.
Though we wished that they would spring a surprise on us,
(which they obviously didnt...)
We really appreciate their company. Hurhur.
Too bad Mark (my bitching partner) wasnt around.
He was prolly sulking at his BGS project meeting with the other guys.
Awwwwww.
We missed your company too!
[PS. Tanu is still the reigning IS QUEEN aka THE BITCH.
She's jealous because she thought she got overthrown.
HAHA.
I'm just a modest (part-time closet) full-fledged bitch. ]

Post- 'flying pole-cat' bus journey

The last lesson of Poledance was one of the most Xiong one I've ever had. My arms & abs ache like mad. The skin on my hands are still stinging for the pole burns. For some reason, the usually oily poles were so un-oily, to the point that it was STICKY. Anyway, we learnt the 'flying/swinging pole cat' swing and it made my palms hurt even more. I had some nice bruises on my knees to complement my hands too. Well... regardless of the all that suffering I went through, i think i'm hooked. I've already handed over my plastic card for Nur to swipe. Too late right? Haha. 180bucks worth of pole-swinging/climbing & the sorts. Haha. Tell me if i need it again?!

So... my bus journey home had many interesting characters. There was this drowsy girl (with rebonded hair) whose head was falling over the place, especially on the shoulder of the passenger beside her. This passenger is an old man who has short grey hair & still wears those black rubber digital watches(my primary school friends used to wear). This girl kept leaning on his shoulder in her sleep and i seemed to have sensed the man's discomfort. I saw him tremble... I can imagine what went through his mind when he felt this young girl asleep on his shoulder... He might be reminiscing about his youth and he had his sweetheart fall asleep on his shoulder, on the bus home as well. Right?

The other unsavory character i noticed was this uncle in his late 50s who couldnt keep his fingers out of his nostrils. I was ultra-super-duper-uper-unbelievably disgusted. urgh. he changed fingers some more!!! Maybe the government might wanna start a "stop nose-picking" campaign soon. Its probably a better idea than SDU. Haha.

Next, straight after the snot covered-fingers uncle alighted from the bus, this normal looking man (about 30+) boarded the bus. I saw his eyes light up at the empty seat vacated by the uncle and he rushed to grab that free seat. When he sat down triumphantly, he kept smiling/ grinning to himself. He held up his hawker centre/market/CNY goodies buy to show us his shopping exploits. But i dont think anyone in the bus knew him personally. So after he got ignored, he was happily sniffing at his plastic bags. At this point in time, i was getting pretty freaked out. The longer i was observing him, the weirder i thought he was. Well, he continued to be all smiles but he kept looking backwards, and i didnt know what he was looking at, but I was getting the creeps. Thank goodness, I reached my bus stop soon after.

A mere bus ride can give Kaypoh people like me enough material to fill up a 10 volume auto-biography. Happy people-watching! Oh yeah, if you have read The Straits Times, Home page 2, you'll know that my BGS prof became an overnight mini-celebrity by getting lost while trekking over the weekend. Only a guy like him can pull a stunt like that. Way to go prof! Haha. Alright, in the end, we are just thankful that you made it back in one piece. :)

Single men are like waffles & single women are like spaghetti???

I took a cab to Raffles Place yesterday to meet Wanhua because I was late. The cab driver then told me about how hard it is to be a cab driver these days. My sympathies really. They really go through shit and still hafta tahan complaints from the general public. He said he can barely make any profit now. I hope things will get better...

We went for this seminar yesterday evening & I didnt feel as though I've learnt anything new. The speakers assumed that most men behave this way & most women behave this way. Next, they taught us the standard ways to handle males & females, based on the simplistic assumptions. They forgot that in our world today, men dont just behave like a typical man and women dont only display female characteristics. On top of that, they completely overlooked the personality differences which might affect the way two individuals interact. WH was flabbergasted at their ease of using sweeping generalisations which only serves to reinforce gender stereotypes. I suppose the only fruitful thing, was us using our own experiences to compare with the stuff they asserted. At least, they made us think about our own lives and our relationships.

Therefore, I was quite disappointed. I thought these people would have more insightful things to share with us, but they just taught from their own life experience which is EXTREMELY narrow minded. I remembered they mentioned dropping their social circles after their marriage and literally living in a 2-person world. How is that possible? And is that even healthy?! I didnt understand the purpose of the seminar, since the last few slides were about marrying early & having as many kids as possible. Like HELLO, SDU, thats a wee bit too OBVIOUS?? Nvm, I'll pass the notes to Ian anyway. Haha. Oh well, never mind, I'm grateful for the goodie bag, which wasn't that bad. Haha. Plus, we had 3 helpings, one on each level of the buffet spread. Hurhur.

By the way, we made too much noise and disturbed this row of guys in front of us. So this guy found us really irritating and told us to shut up. The thing was that, he actually applied the stuff the speakers talked about! (*cough* loser!) He introduced himself, we shook hands & told us that we can talk to his friends. I was like eeerrr. sorry about the noise. ok... (But, no thanks.)

Oh yeah, there was an article (in this magazine which they gave out) talked about how to make small talk. Ivy, WH & I found it super amusing since it borders on being downright ridiculous. Let me demonstrate...
Firstly, let's assume A & B are socially awkward creatures in a social setting. Both have meticulously internalised the useful phrases for one to break the ice with a stranger, as well as the phrases to keep the conversation flowing.

Ice breaking time.
A: Isnt this a lovely evening?
B: (attempts to keep up with the conversation with the suggested phrases.) Errr... I didnt know that!
A: (stunned, but tries again.) This food is delicious, but I'm not sure what i'm eating. Do you know what this is?
B: That's so interesting. Go on!
A: -_-||

I'll just break the glass window and jump off the building. Seriously. Gosh. (oops. Pun unintended. haha)

So, after that mind numbing experience, we went to Momo for the pole dance competition. I tell you, they have a 100% Rip-off bag deposit charge. Gosh. $8 bucks for 2 paper bags & another bag. Some pretty pictures to reduce my disgruntled-ness.

Central mall pavilion with red lights,
which makes it festive & romantic at the same time.

These are more lights strung around that area with a romantic European feel.
FYI, when I took this photo,
there was a charming guy who said "excuse me" in an Italian or a Spanish accent.
Oh, I've just noticed that Huiting & Ivy are in the photo too.
(Looking somewhat blur. Haha.)

Anyway, because the pole dance competition started really late, i missed like half of the it by the time we came back to Momo. But I'm glad that Eleanor got into the semi-finals! Shes good.

Momo sucks. The pole is like tree trunk thick & the base is some odd shaped thingie. Its meant for dancing around the pole, rather than real pole-dancing. But the hired dancers were HOT. I loved the girl in white, cause she has so much STYLE. Sizzling hot man... Other than that, the crowd, the music & the atmosphere was bad. I guess I didnt have a good time because my friends (Mad, Zk & HT, Ivy left earlier) werent really in any partying mood either. They just ignored me when i was dying to dance. Sigh. So we just went home. Yawn. Good night.

Bland, with a capital B.

This is one of those I-feel-so-sorry-for-myself days...

I screwed up my BGS mcq quiz this afternoon but Jian An & I met my Super-Nice Econs TA, Yenny after class. Then I was pretty much left alone (my sos sms pleas werent effective) until Cindy dropped by to hang around with me, while I was trying to compose & organise the thoughts in my head.

Its puzzling how I feel extremely tired these days. Just an hour ago, I was walking back home and staring up at the starry night sky. Yet at the same time, I just felt as if I couldnt even make it to my doorstep. I thought my legs will give way & let the ground swallow me up while my eyes continue to admire the countless twinkly stars tonight. Well... That didnt happen.

I guess I'm in those (in Tanu's words) "reflective" moods. Despite my busy schedule & fulfilling social calendar, somehow, I suddenly feel like loving someone, anyone, or even something (preferably a cat). Hopefully, in return, I'll get a comfortable shoulder to lie on, on most of my longggg bus rides home.

OOPS. I think the V-day monster found its way here.

Romancing Life ( PS. Happy Birthday to Mervyn!)

Mervyn's Birthday Cake with only 3 candles.

Firstly, heres a happy 22th Birthday to our dearest Mervyn! He's one of the nicest guys I know. Trust me on that. He'll surely help you, if you asked him to. Boy, we LOVE you! I wish you all the best in everything you do... I hope you find a darling to shower all your love & affections on, and one who'll do so in return as well, because you deserve nothing lesser. :) *wink wink* Hope you enjoyed your old-school style birthday lunch (at Chin Chin's restaurant) & cake too. Thanks to David who was the main coordinator. He created that authentic experience for all of us. I almost felt like I was celebrating my granddad's 80th birthday. Haha.

It's February already and Valentines' Day is just around the corner. If love isnt in the air, dissatisfaction surely is.

Modern Valentines' Day seem to place immense pressure on urban people's relationships as well as on singles. Couples busy themselves with preparation of surprise gifts, gorgeous bouquets, lavish meals to present their loved ones. Singles fret about getting "THE DATE", if not, they get hysterical if they dont at least find "A DATE". Haha. It's mildly amusing to stand by the sidelines to watch the action, without being caught up in the whirlwind. I think its definitely sweet to observe such lovey-dovey behaviour, but i'm just apprehensive about the fact that these activities seem to be driven by market forces, rather than people being truly devoted to their loved ones. I'd rather people be romantic on every other day, instead of just remembering Valentines' Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, festivals like Xmas... Regardless of V-day's critics & other cynics, it's ultimately a win-win situation. People get happy with the special treatment, the extra( & usually expensive) gifts, and the businesses' sales revenue soar as well. From my sharp accountancy student's viewpoint, its a marriage made in heaven. (Hurhur. Pun intended!)

During this season of love, some fortunate ones are comfortably snuggled in their bubble of bliss, while others are still struggling to be happy (without any particular romantic partner).

Recently, I've heard quite a number of stuff regarding relationships. My girlfriend, N has this religion issue with a guy she sort of likes, but knows that they wont have any happy ending because she's a Catholic & he's a Muslim. I hope it has been settled by now, if not, it'll continue to cause more misery to both sides. On top of that, I have also found out that my guyfriend, J, had a similar issue with his sweetheart some time back. His parents objected to the fact that she was from an opposing church, which resulted in them splitting ways. I feel so sorry for the 2 situations above. While I do believe in God, I really dont think that having different beliefs should keep people apart. This is especially true for people my age because we are still YOUNG. We dont have issues like marriage to think about, so isn't it nice to take it slow, step by step, just enjoying each day as it passes? I suppose at the end of the day, its entirely up to each individual's choice, which was based on their values and their priorities. Therefore, I'm not entitled to judge people based on that, but I'm merely expressing my 2 cents worth.

At the same time, another guyfriend, R seems to be blissfully in love with his girl. I'm really happy for him, because hes such a nice guy, he deserves to love and be loved.

On the other hand, another close girlfriend of mine has been hurt pretty badly by her guyfriend(who is also her object of affection). The best part was that he was actually clueless enough to make her order roses for V-day on his behalf. T deserves better. MUCH better. I hope somebody worthy of her love will come by soon. :)

Similarly, someone called 'Uncle/Daddy Love' has been in pain for quite a while and I hope he has managed to detach himself from the baggage hes been carrying since eons ago. This man is always asking for the "LOVE". Hur hur. If I can do a good deed by a flick of my magic wane, I'd give him an affectionate girlfriend who'll show him that he's important to someone and that love doesnt hurt (disclaimer- just not all the time, but it sure needs TONS of effort.)

For everyone else, I hope things are going smoothly in the love department. Lotsa Love,
Wanying

SOCIABLE : inclined to seek or enjoy companionship

Gosh, Saturday was SO EVENTFUL. I dont know where to start...

It started off plainly. I was thankful for the balmy weather in the morning, so Hua & I went to Swissotel to check out the be-a-fashionista.com branded bag sale. The variety was pretty limited & nothing much caught my eye. How disappointing! While i was prepared to hand over my plastic card, I was secretly glad that I didnt have to. Hur hur. Thanks to WH who accompanied me. We headed to Bugis & I got a new skirt again (whooops.) Haha. We had lunch then split our ways. She went to the national library & I rushed back to school for my make up Econs class.

Zzz...

After class, I met Lionel & Xuan An (Lionel's self proclaimed "Bitch"-friend who seems abit ah bengish too). Haha. Both of them were pretty good company though. XA lived up to his reputation for being a bitch. Now i know how L got all his sharp comments from. Anyway XA & I ended up trying to irritate each other, but I wasn't really irritable yday so I won. Hah!

Anyway, the reason we went shopping was because Lionel's Mom is super uper adorable. She insisted that L MUST get a shirt which is beige/yellow for CNY. After lots of walking around, he finally found a nice shirt which got double thumbs up from me & XA. Since I was the one who told him to try that shirt, I'm entitled to say "See, i told you so." Haha.

FYI, I met Ms Ling at Carrefour and I found out that shes happily hitched now. In fact, she told me that she couldnt recognise me... Oh no... I hope its just the grey & dull uniform. Haha. How many different people have I met today already???

Afterwhich, I met Irene & Noel, to adjourn to Mervyn's place. Irene & I ended up as their female experiment subjects out of sympathy. It was pretty fun and we met quite a few new people. For their experiment, I vaguely recall myself laughing at everything after 3 cups. Haha. Fortunately, I didnt get drunk, just light-headed & slightly high. We played the usual drinking games & charades, all while being cam-whores at the same time. When the experiment ended, the drinking games continued- l remember Justin being drunk & Mervyn being sabohed by everyone. The party ended at 2+ and I got home at 3+, slept close to 4am.

I'm still such a social-whore. I really must avoid social events now. Haha.

At my wits' end.

I dont remember being in such a emotionally tormenting relationship with someone in ages... And he even isnt my significant other. Sigh... Tell me- All that pain, misery, unhappiness, mutual hurting & spiteful behaviour for what?

I dont seem to be able to extract myself out of this unbearably intricate entanglement. I dont want to hurt anyone, contrary to what you might think. I'm sorry. I really dont know how to deal with this anymore.

I'm exhausted. I'm tired. I'm hurt. I've lost hope. I just want to escape. Do a hit-and-run. Anything. Forgive me.

Donuts & Football; Hi-tea & Tau Huay

Thursday

In between BGS class & my TWC meeting, Tanu, Elvin & I adjourned to WA.
The new cafe/bar at the gorgeous Singapore National Museum.
Due to Elvin's PMS & Tanu's (SIS-induced) depression,
we decided to head to somewhere nice to chill out.
WA is a nice quiet place for chi-chi tai-tais to hang out,
Because the prices are on the steeper side (unfortunately...)

My grilled veggies sandwich.
It was "gourmet" enough.
I didnt like the bread though,
Cos it didnt taste much like Foccacia.
The ingredients were fresh.
The combination was delightful.
Except that I had the olive oil dressing dripping everywhere.

Tanu's Chocolate Brownie Milkshake.
Something like that.
She enjoyed it tremendously. Hurhur.
I think it cures depression.

The Elvin's New York Cheesecake.
We were playing detective,
trying to identify the black spots in the cake.
Its mould! Or dust? Grounded coffeebeans? Vanilla beans!?
The Elvin announced that it was poppyseeds.
Well, I hope it's right.
I wished the biscuit crust was drier & crispier.
I like the complementary taste of orange marmalade in it.
Otherwise, its nothing much to crow about.

After my TWC meeting, I hung around to wait for Elvin to finish so that we can go makan abit. It was the end of my school week, well sort of... Plus, I couldnt get a longbang home, so I might as well stay out later to beat the thaipusam crowd at Selegie road.

OH, School of Accountancy has been hijacked by the School of Law! Like OMG, we are gonna be called SOAL??? I can't believe it. Dont these privileged law kids get their own building!?!?! Haha, by the way, I just noticed that my angst is reflected in the picture above.

Well, Elvin & I had some chicken rice,
next went over to the Rochor Tau Huay!
We had to go to the back of the shop,
Which looked like a scene out of a gangster film.
Nice graffiti & posters though.
Check them out (above)!
So... while we were eating & laughing our heads off,
this 2 men came over & started to serenade us with Ronan Keating's
"When you say nothing at all"
On of them said," Just nice for lovers!"
Elvin & I were like hahaha. No, not lovers. Friends.
So cute lahhhh.

Wednesday

The infamous donuts from the Donut Factory (at Rafflescity)!
My favourite : Dark Chocolate & Peanut Butter!
Well, it was very light & fluffy.
A tad too sweet for my liking.
Bonus points for the mind boggling range of exotic flavours!
Minus points for the crazy queue-time.
But these donuts are photogenic alright.
100% credit to Huiting who queued for a whopping 2 hours.
Talk to her if you wanna know what are the things you can do during a 2h long queue.
Queuing 101. (Hur hur)

Here is a pretty picture of the Singapore skyline at 6+pm,
Taken from the National Stadium's grandstand staircase.

The most dramatic moment during the SG V THAI Finals.
Thai boycott of the penalty.
Both sides played pretty crappily.
I dont know if S'pore deserved the penalty,
Or whether we deserved to win...
But better we win, than them right? (Hur hur)
The childish behaviour was really ridiculous though.
Waste of my time.
I could have had a better time at the ASEAN ROCKS gig at hardrockcafe with Nicole.

This is to show the crowd's unhappiness with the delay.
Contrary to news reports of "at least 10 mins",
It was really at least 20 minutes.
Everyone was booing & screaming & yelling stuff like "Bo toh!"
OH well... I guess Asean football still has a long way to go...
