I just wanna be OK

The last couple of mornings were really foggy, as if the smoke machines were in overdrive. Well, i guess thats the English Autumn for you. So much for that, the school nurse told me that it's pretty common to get Tonsillitis at this time of the year. Thanks a lot. It's worse than all the sore throats I've gotten in the last 21 years of my life.

It sucks being sick, when youre all alone overseas and the weather is cold. I was drifting in and out of consciousness on Thursday due of my fatigue and my fever. Yet I had to wake up every 2 hours because of the pain and also because i needed to boil some hot water to drink. I couldnt eat anything much because it hurt when i opened my mouth. Swallowing hurts. My throat was swollen, it was throbbing like it had a life of its own and my right ear ached as well.

So i finally dragged my ass to see the nurse on friday and now i hope i wont OD on penicillin & paracetamol. I hate taking pills. My saliva tastes like paracetamol and my pee smells of that as well. In fact, it got so bad, i was gagging while making breakfast this morning. Although I had an empty stomach, i managed to throw up some weird brown streaky bits and then some yellow streaky bits. I have no idea what they were. Anyhow, i forced myself to stomach some porridge and then went to bed. I'm feeling human now, hence I've decided to rejoin the world for a while.

I've wanted to post these pics. But I've been sick since then. So...

Convent Garden.
Its a lovely stretch of shopping street.
I met Rachel & Tom.
And i finally had a taste of some English Pub food.
I had the Sunday Roast.
Nevermind that it was on a tuesday.
It was good.

Yeah, it was jason mraz's concert that night.
The Royal Albert Hall.
It does look very posh and majestic.

Check out the INSIDE.
I think its gorgeous.
The sound is amazing as well.

Ingrid Michaelson opened the show for Mraz,
And I'm a brand new fan.
I love her sultry buttery voice and her catchy songs.

The show started for Jason at about 8.30pm and it went on & on until 10.20pm.
I think its meant for all the good english people whom he owed a show to.
He played all the good hits and lotsa new materials from the current album.

Only Jason can make the entire audience get up on their feet
& dance with him.
I was afraid the hall might collapse.
I felt a wee bit lonely since i went alone,
But i suppose it was all worth it.
Even when i missed the last bus home from the guildford train station.

London bridge isnt falling down yet

We met early on Saturday morning & took the train to London Waterloo Station.
It was another bright & sunny day! And the first stop was the London Eye.
They were soooo excited at this engineering feat.
It was like *snap snap snap* away.

But it is lovely anyhow.
Does anyone prefer the Singapore's version?

Look carefully. Its the morning moon in the background.

I think its the Movieum.
Its near the London Eye.
Tourist trap i think.

Then we went in search of the Big Ben & the Parliament building.

I love the gothic architecture.

Haha. Group picture!

We walked along & we found this permanent Anti-Iraq war camp here.

Not sure what that is but its being built or restored at the moment.

I like the huge metal black gates.

I cant remember which building this is.
Its a government building for sure though.

Mercedes wanted her picture of her there. haha.

Another building which caught my eye along the street.

The women of WW2.
Nice.
Anyway it looks just like menswear,
so that says alot.

Trafalgar Square

London National Gallery

Then, we went to nottinghill & visited the portobello market. It was such a pretty place, selling stuff at exorbitant prices. I saw tank tops & other clothes from thailand going at 15pounds! Haha. Too bad my camera went out of steam, so I cant show you guys anything. I'll head back again though, with my trusty bbf cheng wan hua.

But anyway, we had lunch at an Italian pizzeria there & the boss was this damn cute guy who looked like Jamie Oliver, Italian version. He was so charming, he was playing with the kids in the restaurant. He made conversation with most patrons, held the doors open for the ladies etc etc. I think some of my espanol babes had a crush on him, after "not seeing cute guys for the last 2 weeks". hahaha.

After that we went to the tower bridge/cityhall and had our siesta. zzzzz. It was a really long day.

día claro (Sunny Day)

When the sun shines brightly on Sunday,
the best thing to do is to bask in its rays & have a picnic in the park.
We shared some beer & tuna pasta salad.
We played Putakaka all the time,
FYI, its the spanish version of the Asshole Daidee.

Monday night
An Italian restaurant in High Street, Guildford's town centre.

A funky bar called Fahrenheit.

Tuesday night was spent in London.
I met GT, Helen & Isabel at Bayswater Tube station.
Then I finally had RICE & roast duck for dinner at Four Seasons.
After dinner, GT was happily showing us all the quirky things around the neighbourhood.
Sorry if you cant see that properly.
It says ---
CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY
CELEBRITY CENTRE
LONDON
Hahaha. Camp there if you wanna see Tom Cruise.

Thursday evening. Pewley Down, Guildford.
I saw the first proper sunset in this place.
Its a breath-taking panorama.
The crazy walk up the hills is all worth it!
justin insisted he take a pic of me.
I seem to be grimacing in the pic. haha.

I think this is so schweetttt.
Its on the park's bench.
Rest In Peace.
