THANK YOU!!!

I have to say thanks to my 3 best cleaning gals! Cassidy gets first place for helping me day in and day out- with lots of help tagging boxes- even writing the contents on the tags for me. And Mimi and Hailey, for driving down to help me scrub baseboards, light fixtures, hard water stains and stoves! I am so lucky to have them! I also am lucky to have my own personal carpet cleaner- Warren did a great job. He even cleaned in Cassidy's room when she was asleep and she didn't even flinch! You should hear this thing! I think it can be heard by all the neighbors! THANKS!!! You've all saved me HOURS!

What a helper!

I've been going crazy here the past few days cleaning the house up to be shown to potential buyers. I like the way Luke cleans the best: naked, with Cade's shoes on, lamby in hand. He knows how to get down to business!

Fun with Cousins

We are so happy Brandon, Calli, Aubrey and Bracken came to visit here in Merced before we moved to Texas! The kids loved playing with their cousins. Notice the puzzle piece Luke refused to let go of- Texas!

Warren Got Promoted!!!

We're moving to Dallas! Yee Haw. He's going to be the District Manager over the state of Texas! He's supposed to start in 30 days! We are so proud of him and all his hard work! Anyone want to buy our house?

Roasting Us Out!

I thought I was having the hot sweats from this feverish flu we've been fighting this week. But as I walked down the hall, I noticed the heat thermo was at 85 degrees!!! I vaguely remember Cassidy asking me sometime today to turn up the heat because she was cold. Or maybe she told me she turned up the heat because she was cold?......I'm ready for this fuzzy feeling to be out of my head so we can all hear and think clearly around here! I can't get too riled up. I remember doing the same thing to my parents when I was a kid- except I think I cranked it all the way up to 90 degrees! OOPS! I was in a bit of trouble for that one. Probably why I remember doing it! I guess it's payback time now!

School's out this week- Bring on the fun!

Cass has been out of school all this week for "President's Week." We've been doing all sorts of fun projects. Here are some of our favorites. "Gak"- a goey, squishy substance made of glue, water and borax! It's provided hours of fun. Other favorites have been pudding finger paint and a egg carton flower arrangement we made for Warren to "Get well soon!" I've love having all my kids home with me!

Crazy Hair Day at School

Cassidy was excited to participate in "Crazy Hair Day" at her school on Friday.

Get Your Flu Shots!

Warren and I have been hit hard this weekend. Luckily the kids all had flu shots and have been fine. I HATE THE FLU!!!

A Swashbuckling Request

I was resting on my bed after playing with the boys this morning to be interrupted by a sword pointed at me. Cade was standing over me and demands, "Get me some goldfish or I will kill you!" You would think most pirates would want "gold" and not "goldfish." I found the request so hilarious and out of the blue instead of scolding him on asking nicely for a snack, I just busted out laughing. So, here is Cade the pirate with his goldfish.

Yardwork

We got a lot of work done on the yard this weekend. The kids enjoyed doing their own things while we were at work. Cade went through a series of outfits playing in mud puddles, Luke got worried about Cade being dirty from the mud puddles- then played with Yoda, and Cassidy enjoyed racing Cade fence to fence, climbing, and posing for pictures.

My little cleaner

Cassidy definitely does her fair share around here- now Luke is following suit. This week he woke up in the morning and Cade had poured the puzzles all over the living room (since Cade gets up around 5am and nobody else is willing to play with him- he keeps himself busy)- so Luke jumps down from my arms- throws down lamby (our favorite soft object right now) and gets to work. He had it all cleaned up in about 2 minutes. I was cracking up! Then this morning I asked Cade to clean up his Star Wars guys and Luke perks right up and gets to work. He had them all cleaned up and even took the bucket into Cade's room. He then proceeded to grab lamby and march off to his room for his nap. What a funny kid!

Funny faces

Cade wanted me to do a photo shoot with him this morning. Here are some of the winners...

Since I'm busting out the maternity clothes,

I guess I better formally announce- I'm pregnant! Number four is on it's way and should be here sometime in September. I'm about 10 weeks along and I can't believe I'm already busting out of my jeans. I guess my big boy, Luke, really stretched things out last time!

Quite the superbowl party

We really know how to party. Oatmeal was the party food of choice- since Warren and I aren't feeling terrific today. We even got our own special halftime show- put on by Cassidy and Cade and their puppets. It was an interesting series of random questions mingled with High School Musical songs.

Even folding laundry with Mimi is fun!

Mimi came to visit us last week. We had a great time. I really appreciated her help since Warren was gone for 4 days and 3 nights. The boys enjoyed dressing up as "shepards" as they helped fold the towels.

A creative piano bench

Talk about doing 2 things at once! Warren is so great with the kids- we appreciate all he does- works tons of hours and then comes home to play with the boys. What a trooper! He wasn't feeling well and didn't make it to church today. When I came home the house was clean and the dishes were done. How nice! Does this guy ever take a break?

Eight Cavities?!!! Are you KIDDING ME?!!

We went to the dentist this week and found out Cassidy has 8 cavities! We can't believe it! The kids really enjoyed their prizes- a princess wand and a tarantula spider that Cade ripped to pieces within hours of being home. Here's a shot of their clean pearly whites.

Responsibility Award

Cassidy received a "Responsibility" Award at school last week. Unfortunately she wasn't there to receive it- she was home with pink eye instead. We're so proud of her and glad she is so responsible!
