FYI- Cassidy's Baptism

Just a reminder to all who would like to come! Cassidy is getting baptized this Saturday, September 5th at 11am. We would love to have you there to join us for her special day. We will be serving a light lunch/refreshments at our home afterward.

Now this is my kind of bike

What do you think, Pops?! Could I join you and Lance on this thing? Let's just add 2 more kids to the pic. ;)

Dallas Arboretum

I love trees that make a canopy like this!

So sleepy...

Luke loved the fake snakes

It was so cute. They had all these little play houses. Each house represented a storybook. They had books just outside each one to summarizing the story each house represented

Trying hard to get a good photo out of these guys. Not working too well!!

Our group
Butterfly sighting -thinking of Cassidy- we missed you, Cass!

Treasure Island - in honor of Pops
Cade is Long John Silver getting Jim Hawkins

I know there are a lot of pictures- but this place is BEAUTIFUL! I loved being outside, enjoying all the beautiful flowers. Our weather today was perfect for this outing. (It was similar to Red Butte Gardens in SLC, if you've ever been there. Just on a much larger scale.) I was the unofficial photographer for those who forgot cameras- another reason for all the posted pics. Can't wait to go back with the whole family sometime. Thanks so much for the invite, ladies!!

Big boy now

I was doing some ironing during the movie- it was so cute to look down and see Jake sitting on the couch with the rest of the kids into the movie. :)

For our reward from all our hard work we took the kids swimming. Afterwards we watched "Forever Strong"- the rugby movie- good movie by the way! Thank you, Grandmother! Jake was cracking me up. I couldn't believe how much he enjoyed it. It was such a social experience for him. He doesn't really watch TV, yet- but he was dancing to the music, loving the sports scenes and clapping with the crowds. He loves to sit on the couch like a big boy. Such a cute little guy.

Good working kids, too.

Not only did I get some great work done- but the kids did a good share of the load as well. We really cycle through the job charts- but we always seem to come back to the index cards. It's a great system. It helps them see how much they get done by taking each one down when they finish. Thanks for all the hard work! Especially Cass!

been a worker bee

As you can see my schedule has been pushed to the max this week! I can't remember the last time the laundry was as tall as me. This weekend I had to get to work. I wasn't going to post this- Warren insisted we take a pic. But I finished the washing, folding and putting away all in one day- pretty impressive, huh? I also got the kitchen reorganized, front yard weeded, new flowers planted and the kids' clothes reorganized. I love feeling of being organized!!

Jake Turns 1 Year Old!!

Happy Birthday, dear Jakee!

The bubble mower! He just took his first 2 steps tonight. I'm sure once he gets going he's going to love this thing
Loves the fun Elmo books, Grandma! Thank you!
Opening balls from Mimi over skype- Thanks, Mimi!
This lion card was his favorite thing- what a crack up! Thanks Auntie Dee! Love the new clothes!
I can't believe Jake is already 1. It's been the fastest year ever. He had kind of a bummer birthday with Warren out of town and me taking him in for his 1 year old shots. :( I don't think I'll do that again. We actually celebrated the next day (Friday) instead. He did seem to thoroughly enjoy his cupcake. :)
