Best Daddy Ever

I am thankful everyday that Warren is the father to my kids. Here he is after a long day at work, the kids all piling on him to hear him read them books before bed. It brings tears to my eyes. I just love this man so much.

Practicing on the new bikes

Cade's first time without training wheels.

Luke's first time riding a big boy bike. He did great!

New Bikes

Luke and Jake were ready for the bike hand me downs, so Cass and Cade got new bikes today. Luke was thrilled to have Cade's old bike as well as a new Lightning McQueen helmet. They can't wait to take them out for a spin!

more blanket making

These are the 2 latest. One for my new nephew, the other for Cass. I LOVE that monkey print!

Fabulous dinner from a fabulous friend

While my kids were enjoying their hot dogs from Costco, I was happily tasting this specialty from my friend. Her husband is on a special diet and her kids were unappreciative, so she brought me over a plate! Coleslaw with grapes, nuts and a poppyseed dressing, shrimp and chicken with avocado, cheese and hollandaise sauce! YUMM!!!! What a treat!

Fruit and Veggie Painting

Our friends had us over to paint with fruits and veggies. Our hostess had so many cute ideas. Strawberries, cucumbers, celery hearts (my favorite! it looked like flowers), apples, etc. It was a fun project for a hot day cooped up in the house.

A New Blog

I've started a new blog: www.hesshappyhelpers.blogspot.com It's dedicated to teaching your kids to work and serve. All my job chart ideas, reward systems, etc. It's just barely getting started. I've had several of you ask me to write a book on all my ideas- so here is that idea in it's most primitive form...

Remember the Alamo

It was a hot sweaty day, but amazing to see the Alamo in the flesh. Now that we are Texans, I'm glad we got a chance to learn more about our history. I am so grateful for all the many men and women who have sacrificed for our country.

Lowe's Car

Luke had to stop to take a look at the Lowe's race car. He is a car fanatic! It even had sticker head lights- like Lightning McQueen.

entertainment

The shows were amazing to watch. But the thing I liked even better than watching the amazing tricks, was watching my kids when they were watching the show. They were so into it. It was great.

Lost Lagoon, Literally

As we were playing in the Lost Lagoon, Warren lost his car key. He'd put it in his pocket so it wouldn't get stolen, and then it floated out on its own. We didn't realize it until we were at the Shamu show- on the opposite side of the park. With lots of praying, we were able to locate the lost key. THANK GOODNESS! I did not want to be stranded at SeaWorld San Antonio. It would go along with the theme of the trip though. Plenty of mishaps and bumps in the road. Still, it was really wonderful to be together as a family! It will make for some fun memories!

Little boys

The little boys and I hung out in the splash area while Warren took the big kids on some rides. I wish I could have been in both places to take pics! We have some budding roller coaster and waterslide enthusiasts!
