Nice Knee Highs

Someone's been digging in Daddy's sock drawer during piano lessons...

I could eat this girl up!

Breakfast at the Park

The Texas heat makes park outings pretty unbearable. So to beat the heat- we've had to sneak them in when we first roll out of bed in the morning. This time we jazzed it up with some doughnuts. Gotta love it!

FHE on the lake

Our fabulous friends invited us on their boat for FHE on Monday night. We had a blast! The kids all loved going on the tube behind the boat (it took a little ipad bribing for Luke, but he DID it!), and I even had a silly attempt at water skiing for the first time in 10 years or so. Hallie balled for the first 30- 40 minutes, she's not quite acclimated to feeling like she is in a blow- up straight jacket for long periods of time. :) But she eventually calmed down and I think maybe even enjoyed herself for a little while. The water was the perfect temperature, the lake was calm, the company was great. What a treat for our family!
This one cracks me up, she's even doing a thumbs down during all the crying :)

Finally calming down a little, not going to crack a smile though

On the other hand, Cade couldn't STOP smiling :)

 LOVED the raft

Wish I could've captured the huge teethy grin on her face the whole ride!

Going for a swim to cool off

Basketball Camp

Cass had a fun week with her friends at basketball camp. Now we just need to get her out on our hoop to keep up her skills for the winter season. :)

Guess who came to dinnner?

Apparently, Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi/ Luke Skywalker (he kept switching identities) like pancakes and eggs.

And look who is thrilled to have dinner guests!

Summer Piano Recital

The kids are really coming along with their music. It's so fun to see!

So jealous!

I wish I could knock out and take a nap whenever I'd had enough!

Twilight Camp

Cade has had a blast at Twilight Camp with his Wolf Pack this week.

Archery has been his favorite (I'm sure bebes guns are probably a close second- or maybe a tie)

 YAY! He hit the target!

He built a catapult. He and the kids have had a blast launching the ball all over the house and yard. I'm made good use of Papa's golf ball retriever- rescuing the ball from the neighbor's yard.

 Look at all those swaps!

Jakey

Oh, Jakey. He has been on one of late. He's got a girlfriend, even kissed her, talks about her constantly. And yes- none of us are surprised that she has beautiful hair.
He is also obessed with using the pack patio as his own personal bathroom. Not just because he's out there already playing, but just for the heck of it- he'll run out the back door and start watering the patio.
While we were painting the piano room the gold color, he runs in from his nap and says, "Awesome, mom! Is this cheese paint?!!"
Then today while kicking his legs furiously he is shouting, "Hallie! Quit crying while I'm crying!"
It's a good thing he is so dang cute, because this 3 year old is giving me a run for my money!

Daddy dates and Piezookie Parties

Warren has been quite the frequenter of Top Golf lately. He and I went on a double date there a couple weeks ago- and ever since the other boys have been doing all kinds of good deeds to earn a date with daddy. Cade and Luke each got to have their own dates with him this week. I wish I had pictures!!

We also had a piezookie party- and will probably make them a regular activity this summer. For those who aren't familiar with BJ's- piezookies are a dessert there: cookie baked in a little dish (fresh out of the oven) with icecream served on top. We just do it our own way- our own cookie recipe and Blue Bell icecream- Delish!! If you want to join us sometime for one- leave me a note in the comment section of message me on facebook. We'd love to have you!!

Neighborhood movie night

We have the best neighbors ever! A couple weeks ago they had everyone on the street over for a pancake breakfast. Then a week or so ago, they all had everyone over for a movie night. The kids played tag, ate popcorn, popsicles and kool-aid and watched Harry Potter 2. It was a great night!
