Princess Hallie

Well our little princess is just a ball of fun. Her little sayings have me cracking up everyday. Today while we were in the car she's demanding from the back seat, "Mom! Turn down the car!" Huh? Apparently the road noise was too loud for her. I tried to explain it's not like turning down the radio, sometimes you just have to deal with some noise. ;) This coming from a little lady who is always belting out, "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" at the top of her lungs- off key- with her own made up words. Love this girl!

We made it to the store

Little things have become big things over here with all the morning sickness. Big day- Hallie and I made it to the store! Wahoo! And I even cleaned the house today for about 2 hours, plus vacuumed out the car and went to the carwash. Yes, I think now I am good to lay in bed again for another few days. Hopefully my good health will hold! Now I have to say I think the only way this has been possible is because my friends have been taking such good care of me. I was brought 3 meals this week for dinner- which I have been thoroughly enjoying the leftovers on the other days! Warren has taken Cass to school some days, the kids have been doing a little more cleaning than usual and Jake and Hallie are champs at watching TV while I snooze on the couch. We are truly blessed. And more help is on the way!
Heidi flies in tonight and we are so excited to be with her!! This is the 3rd time she had to reschedule her flight- (she was really sick and had to cancel the last TWO times!)- we can't believe she's coming!

Here's proof! We left the house!

The carwash was eventful. I will spare you a picture since I didn't dare take one of me teaching Jake how to pee in a water bottle (something I'd  hoped to never have to do! That is a man's job!) so we could keep the upholstery dry while we got the outside of the car cleaned. I think Jake was both terrified and thrilled at his new found abilities.

Both Cade and Luke were awarded "Marvelous" citizenship within a week of each other at school. That has made for plenty of excitement. They are looking forward to using their Chick-fil-A coupons this weekend with Heidi.

I'm BAAACK!

I have never taken such a long blogging break. Granted I have been posting plenty on Facebook and Instagram- but it just isn't the same. Lately my kids have been pouring over my old blog books with me (Yes- the ones that cover 2007-2009- I am SO far behind!). They have laughed and giggled at all the cute little things they used to say that we had all completely forgotten about. For weeks I have been nagged that I need to be taking these things down again. So I am back!!

Our February:

Lots of Valentine making by Hallie

Girls snuggling watching song clips from "Frozen" together

It snowed!! I checked the boys out of school early and they had a great afternoon playing together with our homeschooled neighbors.

Made fleece blankets for/with the kids (I guess that was January- Luke got a new make over for "raggy".)
