LPSMarket celebrating Merdeka in the month of Ramadan. Fly our National flag on Merdeka day. Come to LP and get a free Malaysia Flag while stocks last.

Prizes will be given to visitors who come dressed in Malaysian flag colours.Judging will be at 3.30pm and prize giving at 4.15pm.

Special performance of kompang music and silat with the usual lots of music and performances, clown will be in attendance from noon to 2.00pm to give away sculpture balloons ...and some clowny antics to tickle our funny bones.

Adult and children story telling will be on whole day with participation from Learning Garden and Wendy House students and local story tellers. It is also open to any wannabe story teller from young to old. Just walk in and take a number.

Sunday 25th is coming up ....

This time the theme is Showcasing Penang Peranakan Culture.

We have face painting, stone painting, henna drawing, shoes and tshirt painting in activities for the children as well as the adults. Nyonya cooking demo and try your hand in wrapping a nyonya chang. Cost is only RM3 each and you will take home the wrap chang to cook. Only open to 30 participants.

There will be choir and dancing from the Straits Chinese Association, Ranko the Japanese opera singer will be coming too. Remember her a few months ago when she sang at our market? Marlene Fox our hardworking Entertainment director has more performers lining up for this month.

YB Wong Hon Wai will be officiating the celebration at around 11.00am.
