Utah Trip

From the previous post... Some fun candids from the fountain at the Gateway Mall... They also have really good chocolate ice cream there, ask Lauren all about it...hanging out with cousin Jack...I won't post the picture of the glamourous potty chair in the back of our packed van...Scott was sure this was unnecessary, I think I won this one...

Utah Wedding

So, I'm a little behind and these are out of order BUT....
We did go to Utah a month ago. Manda DID get married (see the "Jumper Family" link on this page). Here are a couple pictures of our kids on the big day. You can see more on her blog, including a great one of her with the kids taken by her photographer. One other fun surprise... running into Crockett at the temple. He was there for a wedding too! What a fun surprise.

T-Ball Time

The season is here again. The first game was on Saturday and Micah had a fantastic game. He had two big hits, fielded a few balls all with minimal screwing around. His Dad will be very proud of these pictures. These are for you Scott! We can't wait until you're back and at the game with us next Saturday. Lauren prefers nude sunbathing (I'll spare you the picture. It was hot and she stripped off her shirt... attractive) and playing with her friend Ethan to serious game watching. We'll convert her yet!

Lauren and the bathroom...

I think I put it a post a few days agao, Lauren has been potty trained for about a month now. I thought since I shared a few funny things about Micah the other day, maybe she deserved a funny post too. So, some odd habits she's developed....
An obsession with provacy. She locks all doors, insists on getting on the toilet, wiping, flushing and cleaning her hands by herself. fine at home- not as fine in public. Most people aren't locked out of the stall by a two year old.
It's a full on bathroom obsession. She loves to play in the water while she's locked in there. So when the floor is wet, we're not sure why.
The other day I noticed the whole drawer full of towels was damp.... strange. Last night I caught her pouring an entire glass of water in the the drawer full of dry towels. Mystery solved! What would EVER posess her to torment me in this way???
She recently unrolled a brand new triple roll of toilet paper, completely, in a moment of spite and the day before flushed an entire box of wipes down the toilet. You might be asking, where was I? These acts of terrorism were completed in less than 2 minutes unattended. lesson learned!
All quirks and naughtiness aside, she's doing really well and won't even wear a diaper to bed. That means this is a DIAPER FREE house for the next 3 1/2 months. WOO HOO!!!! For that, I guess I can put up with the naughtiness until she's over it!

Micah and Girls

So, funny story. I think that Micah is starting to notice girls. He just turned 5! Let me tell you why...
A couple weeks ago Micah said to me after church "Mom, did you see how pretty .... was in church today? I really liked her ponytail and beautiful gold necklace." She's 10.
A couple days later "Mom, have you noticed ....'s friend? She wears this really cute shirt with rainbows on it. She's really cute." She's 10 too....
Oh, the .... is to protect the anonymity of the girls he's referring to.
Then, in Wal-Mart last night he gave a long legged tan and long blond haired teenager in short shorts a much appreciating long look. He even turned around to keep looking at her as she passed us! We're going to have to work on his obviousness.
This morning he told me he had a dream in which Ms. Stephanine, his preschool teacher he refers to as the "young and cute one", had him marrying a girl on the playground. I asked him who the girl was. He said it's a girl in the 3 year old class that has recess at the same time. Come to find out he's been talking to her through the fence! He told me tonight she has "a really cute face and the prettiest curled hair that sticks right out of her head." He thinks her name is Jordan and he's wondering how her hair stays like that.... I guess at least she's younger than he is, for once!
As I'm writing this Scott is out of town. This is all going to come as a shock to him. Maybe they need a man to man talk when he gets home!

Birthdays

Well, it's been an eventful week for our family. First, I turned 30. yes, you read that right, THIRTY. The day of my birthday I asked Micah if her knew how old mommy was. He truthfully replied "fifty?" AWESOME. Yes, those are characters from Monsters Inc. on my cake. Micah was insistant... Then, at about 10:45 that night our niece Sadie Lynn was born. I finally have a "birthday buddy"! She is just so cute, I included a picture of her on this post but you can check out more on the Titensor Family Blog link if you want. Then, yesterday, My sister Melissa had a birthday and today Marcia has one too! So, a big shout out... we can all share a huge cake next year. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
p.s. I got a GREAt camera for my birthday so hopefully the quality of my pictures will be drastically improving. It's coming in the mail today, Fed Ex should be here anytime. I am so EXCITED!

Provo Fun!

Well, it's amazing. Since Scott and I left School in Provo about 7 1/2 years ago, we LOVE going to visit. At the time when we moved, I didn't think I'd ever see the day where I'd actually even want to go back but now on any trip we go to Utah we don't miss a chance to eat at a yummy college joint and tour the campus. It's the best! The rain cleared up after a yummy lunch at Five Guys Burger and Fries and the I Spy exhibit at the art museum so we were able to enjoy checking out the campus on a Saturday afternoon and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We even discovered there may be something under that loin cloth- check out the picture for details. Micah was very pleased with his discovery, check out the grin. The best part of the trip- visitng with Scott's brother Alex and his "new" (August wedding) wife Hayley. The kids had so much fun and so did we- they are great! I think Micah and Lauren, like us, can't wait for another trip!
