The end, post 3!
Cute kids sleeping in the hotel and the boys with the great plains behind them. Fun, but we're glad to be "home"!
Road Trip Part 2:
We made a couple stops but we weren't good about taking pictures. Here's a few of our stop in Provo where we saw Manda and Ben and Alex and Hayley (but we missed a picture due to a dead camera battery), Winter Quarters in Nebraska and Cade's 6 week birthday picture. Happy travels! Oh. we know our baby can be funny looking, like picture two, but we love him!
Road trip part 1:
So, we loaded in the car, three kids the youngest being only 5 weeks old and drove almost across the whole country, Northern CA to Chicago in 6 days. Micah and Lauren couldn't part with their peloved goldfish, Ben Kenobe's Ghost and Sushi, so they came too. In this set is a picture of everyone in a packed car and eating pizza at a sweet Marriott in Nebraska.

Chicagoland
Well, we've made it. Two parents, three kids and two goldfish all survived the 6 day drive, unpacking and settling. We are not totally moved in but things are looking pretty good. Scott said it best, it doesn't look like we just moved in just that a messy family lives in this house :) So, to catch you up a quick recap about things we miss and things we like:
1. We miss the sun! It's been raining everyday since we got here which makes the 40-50 degree weather seem much colder than it really is. Today and yesterday are sunny and we hear were headed for "warmer" weather like 60 degrees. We'll see
2. We miss our friends. Just this morning Lauren asked to go to our old church... so sad!
3. Tiger Yogurt. She asks for that too...
4. Scott's truck- his new car ain't quite as cool...
5. Traffic free commutes. No comment.
Things that are great about living here:
6. Warm wear like fluffy socks, hooded sweatshirts and snuggly pajamas. We do sort of feel like nerds bundled up all the time.
7. A beautiful big backyard. Nevermind it's full of leaves, LOTS of leaves. Oh and our house. I liked it before but with our thigns inside, I love it! I am getting a serious workout between the basement, main level and bedrooms upstairs.
8. Walking around a new neighborhood full of super friendly neighbors.
9. All the new shopping, sights and restaurants. I felt like I knew most neat things about Stockton. This is insane in comparison! I will never be able to keep up on all the fun things for kids to do. This is definately a family town.
10. We're all here, together. So no matter how strange and cold it seems we're a family.
Sorry, no pictures yet but I'll post some in the next couple of days....
