Oh all right meat

I took Algy to Mcdonalds while Liesl played at a friend's house. As we were going in I asked him do you want a hamburger or cheeseburger. He replied enthusiastically: "cheeseburger! but no meat...I hate meat!" I said "Algy you can't have a hamburger without meat, meat is what makes it a hamburger." He says "oh all right, meat."

Algy says he is stronger than Santa Claus

Biting nails

Liesl was showing me her Barbie doll. She had chewed the hand a little when she was younger and she explained that grandma had given her a bandaid and covered the damage. Liesl said it was the left hand, and that it had a ring on it. Then she said "I really hate the left hand the left hand is really ugly. You know which hand I like?" me: "the right hand?" liesl:"you got it sister!"

Algy calls pee "peep" He peeped all over the floor downstairs. Mark came across it and asked why. Algy said "it was a mistake" my response: you're darned right it was a mistake!

Liesl was reading and Algy was immitating her trying to "read" as well. Liesl yells at him: "stop it Algy you are distructing me!"

Algy is so snart

One morning I woke the kids for daycare. Algy gets up, half a sleep and takes off all his clothes to go pee. I see him standing in front of the toilet and when he is done peeing he pats himself on the butt to shake off the last drops.

One Sunday we get home from church and Mark goes to the bathroom, after a little bit Algy says he needs to pee. I took him outside and told him to pee on the leaves by the tree. Algy asked "do those leaves need to get wet?" I said yes. Then he said "those leaves will be wet in no time!"

Algy started bawling in bed the other night, I sent Mark in to resolve the problem. When he came out he said that Algy was crying because Liesl called him a genius.

When we were moving Mark was making a list of all the household items that he could fit into his car and take one particular trip he was making. He listed his guitars and amps and the lazy boy. Then Algy says "dad I don't want to be the lazy boy."

Where are their owners?

There were some kids running around at the park and their parents were not very close by. Liesl asks me "where are their owners? Why aren't their owners watching them?"

My mom was talking to Liesl on the phone asking her about our flight to Massachusetts. My mom told Liesl she was scared to fly, Liesl said to her "just put your seatbelt on and don't look out the window."

Arts and Craps

Liesl and Algy love to do "arts and craps," clearly these are my children.

We are trying to teach Algy how to say R and L. When we ask him if he can repeat after us, he just replies..."no. I don't think so."

Liesl is fascinated by Darth Vadar and how he apparently got to his horrid state by not eating is vegetables and so on. She wants us to describe the stories in detail, and when we try to change the subject she says "lets go back to Dark Nadar...start at the beginning. I really like hearing about him." Algy likes to watch star wars so he can shoot at the screen with his "gun"

After church Mark and I were changing clothes in our room, and we hear this rhythmic pounding on the door. After we finished we opened the door to find Algy lying down naked, with a pile of clothes and kicking the door. He says "I need help with this and my foot hurts.
