Things we love about you: You love to sing, dance, watch movies, and act out your favorite scenes. Recently, you've been fascinated with dancing "the right way." You curtsy, we bow, you hold one of our hands and hold our leg with your other hand. We must put our other hand on your shoulder. Your favorite color is green. You love babies, Disney princesses, Tinkerbell, wearing dresses. But, you almost picked out Cars for your birthday plates. You picked out green army men toys as your special treat at the store the other day. And, you wanted a Buzz Lightyear for your birthday present. You asked for a green, a pink, a blue, and a brown balloon for your party (sorry we couldn't find brown). And for your birthday dinner - blueberry pancakes!

Exciting News
One day, I asked her, "Jenna, do you think the baby will be a boy or a girl?" She said, "I think a girl." I asked her, "Well, what if it's a boy?" She said, "Well, it better be a girl."
Jenna's Aunt Heather gave me some hard candy to suck on to help with sickness. Turns out, Jenna likes those candies, too. She asks, "Mommy where are those baby things? Can I have one?"
Since we shared the news with Jenna, she has been the "keeper" of an imaginary baby. Sometimes, she takes care of it, and sometimes she gives it to me. If I have to leave to go somewhere, she'll say, "Mommy, don't forget your baby!" Then she'll scoop the baby up in her fist and put it in my fist.
Jenna has a book that she loves that describes night sounds. One sound is a bat that goes, "Wha, wha, wha, wha, etc." Yesterday, we took Jenna with us to the appointment to hear the heartbeat. She thinks the baby's heart sounds like a bat flying.
I think Jenna's going to be a great big sister!

Almost 3 going on 21 - Complicated
A few months ago, Jenna got inspired to sing, "So Long, Farewell" whenever we were leaving Papa and Mima's and/or before bedtime at our house. She morphs several of the verses and sings, "So long, farewell. I'll see you in the morning. I hate to go and taste my first champagne. Yes?" And we say, "No!" Then at our house she proceeds to sing the "Goodbyes" as she goes up the stairs to bed. Enjoy! (See "So long farewell" video.)
The other day, she was playing with 2 suction cup hangers that I use to hang things in the bath. Soon, she only had one of them instead of 2. So, I asked her, "Jenna, where is the other one?" I could tell by looking at her face that she really had no idea. She said, " Well . . . it's complicated." Still makes me laugh every time I think about it - she's getting so big!
