It's spooky around here!

Pumpkin carving time!
Jenna really got into it this year.
The results: Ghost in a window with a candlestick and a bat. When we lit the candle, Jenna said, "What are we going to sing?" So, we sang Happy Halloween to Jenna. Then she wanted to blow the candles out!
Jenna and her cousins at our church trunk or treat. Tinkerbell, Mario, Cute Pumpkin, and Woody.
Perhaps the spookiest site, me and baby brother - 35 weeks.
Compared to 35 weeks with Jenna.

Our doorbell has already rung twice with trick-or-treaters. Better get out there with Jenna!

The Wedding - Videos

Jenna and Ella, the two flower girls practicing for the dance later. (See 1389 video in Matt & Leslie's wedding folder.)

After a shaky rehearsal, Jenna ended up being a great flower girl, if I do say so myself! (See "Jenna as flower girl" video.) Ella ended up coming down the aisle just after these two. Turns out she got some ant bites just before time to be flower girl, poor thing. She did a great job, too! When Jenna got up to the front, she still had flowers left. I was trying to get her to sit down by me but she insisted, "I have some left!" So, she stood by me and emptied her basket by the handful into the aisle.

(See 1447 video.) We're not ready for this phase of life, yet! But, it sure was precious. I found out from William's Mom that he asked Jenna to dance by his own idea (after he asked Ella and she ran away from him)! One of my favorite moments of an amazing wedding.

The Wedding - Pictures

I'll give fair warning that there are probably way too many pictures in this post, but it was so hard to choose! Friday, Oct. 1, wedding festivities began with a yummy and fun bridal lunch at Hickory Street!
Here's my Mom in the coral jacket, Jenna, and the back of my sister's head.
Jenna was so tired after the lunch that while we were asking for an early check in at the hotel, she made a comfy bed for herself on the hotel lobby couch!
Our little flower girl had a shaky start at the rehearsal, there were tears. It was all better when Daddy walked down the aisle with her.
Success, she did it by herself!
Oct. 2nd Wedding Day! I love how Jenna has her arms poised out to the side while getting her sash tied. What a little princess!
Sweet shot with Daddy.
Two pretty girls
A beautiful wedding party. Somehow, Ella, the other flower girl didn't make this shot.
Sweet hug for Uncle Matt
Getting ready for the reception dance!
Siblings: Katie, Matt, and Me
The grandparents on their wedding days - love that idea!
Jenna did great job walking down the aisle and dropping the flowers.

When she got to the front, there were still flowers left in her basket. I tried to get her to sit with me but she insisted, "I still have some left!" So, she stood by me at the front and emptied them out handful by handful in one spot.
Ella did a great job too! She came down the aisle a little after Jenna. Poor girl had to pull herself together after getting ant bites while waiting.
Gorgeous Bride, Leslie

I love this picture, the expression on Leslie's face! Just married!
Dancing with Daddy

Jenna could hardly wait for her turn to get on the dance floor. And she was enchanted with Leslie.
Finally, her chance - dancing with Daddy!

They walked out, surrounded by sparklers . . .
Then rode to their car on this tandem bike.

The prettiest and most fun wedding we've been to. Jenna heard us say that we wished that we had thought of some of those things for our wedding, and said, "Well, you could get married again!"

Pre-Wedding Fun

About a month late, but better late than never?

Tuesday, prior to my brother, Matt's wedding, Jenna and I went to Abilene. Because, how could we come for the wedding and not try to see all the people we love?! Tuesday morning, Jenna woke up at 3:50am! After trying to convince her to go back to sleep, I finally gave up - she was too excited to sleep! We left around 6:20am to make our flight and she chattered for the whole 30 minute drive to the airport! I wish I could remember some of the things she said because she was cracking us up!

We squeezed LOTS of visits in and still somehow didn't get to see everyone. Wade, Mollie, and Mattie were great to let us stay with them. Jenna and Mattie were fast friends (even though they couldn't quite remember each others' names for the first two days)!
A good friend, a comfy couch, and juice with a cool straw. What else do you need?!
A night time book with arms full of sweetness!
Wednesday morning, we had a play date with our dear neighbors. Mallory and Jenna started back right where we left off almost a year and a half ago. We enjoyed meeting Madison, Mallory's new sister and talking about their new brother that's due in Jan!
After that play date, we headed to Dava Lynn's for lunch and play time with her youngest, Nolan. Jenna was thrilled that he had a pirate costume - right up her alley! She had a great time playing and we had a great time visiting. Just a few days ago, Jenna suggested that we name baby brother, Nolan.
Wednesday evening, was supposed to be a dinner with the Spauldings and Youngs, but alas, one of the Young's young ones was sick. So, Mollie, Mattie, Jenna, and I had a girls dinner. When we came back, the little girls put on their pretty dresses for some dancing! (See "Jenna & Mattie 10-10" videos.)
Thursday morning, we went to Mattie's Grandmother's house for a little playtime. Check out the amazing playhouse Mattie has at her Grandmother's!
Jenna was literally in tears when we had to leave. But, not for long because we went to have lunch with Mrs. Charlotte. At lunch, we happened to run into the Trietschs, Ratliffs, Teels, and Laura just by chance!
After a good nap on Thursday, we went to visit our friend Anna. Then it was off to dinner with our friends Dawne and Charlie. Then a quick visit with family that had just arrived for the wedding. We got back in time for one last super fun bath with Mattie and a picture to commemorate our fun time. Whew!
What a wonderful girl's trip Jenna and I had!! Jenna had a great time playing with her little friends and I had a great time with my friends! Our time went by WAY too fast and unfortunately we didn't get to see everyone! There was more fun to come when Daddy arrived Friday morning and wedding festivities started at lunch.

31 Weeks

31 weeks at my brother Matt & Leslie's Wedding. It was gorgeous and so much fun. We had a blast! More about that and my fun trip with Jenna someday . . .
