October

Friday, October 1st - Back to football games after a brief hiatus due to COVID school closure for a week.

It was a bit chilly, but fun!

Saturday, October 2nd - Papa, Geremy, Heather, Madilyn, her friend, Kellen, and I went to Diana's Pumpkin Patch. I love it there!
Duck races

Sack races!

So funny!
Hay ride through the corn!

A giant pumpkin this year
This year's maze design

So much fun!
We had some laughs about the corn maze we went to last year when Diana's wasn't open! So funny! So very glad that Diana's is back this year!!

We had such a good time!
Sunday, October 3rd - Church, then I went to a movie. Regrouping and cleaning to prepare for the week. Then annual fall decorating, jack-o-lantern pizza (two face this year because Kellen doesn't like cheese), and Halloween movie night! This year we tried Haunted Mansion.

Wednesday, October 6th - 5th grade field trip to Mueller State Park. I wasn't able to go, so I was thankful that a friend got these great pictures!

Wednesday night, October 6th - Dress rehearsal fun!

Thursday, October 7th - Beginning of Fall "Break." Some preschool visits, parent/teacher conferences, then Thursday night dinner aka fight night.

Friday, October 8th - Piano lessons, grocery shopping, then dinner and games at Papa & Mima's house.

Saturday, October 9th - Diana's Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze - this time with Kevin and Jenna. We had so much fun and solved the Clue game this time - Mrs. White, with the Hay Hook, in the Barn.

Jenna and Kellen went off on their own in the maze and finished (aka gave up) before the grown ups were done. So, they went around, enjoyed the other activities, and took these great pictures!

So very impressed that they took pictures for me!
The hay ride line was rather long, but there was a spot for just three more and we had three!
Traditional family picture at Diana's.

Kellen found this cool double pumpkin, and we came home with a couple big ones and some cool gourds. We enjoyed a great lunch at Michael Dean's Country Cafe. Then, back to Papa's house for football. We even managed to find Jenna a new coat and snow pants.

Wednesday, October 13th - I went to my Bible study. Then in the afternoon, Papa and the four of us went to the Garman Museum to see Spooky Magic Town.

We had a fun time doing the scavenger hunts! Then we enjoyed dinner at Rudys.
Thursday, October 14th - Some silliness with Kellen's crazy long hair at Thursday night dinner.
Friday, October 15th - Kellen and I had some fun at Whit's End.

Then, football game Friday night.

Saturday, October 16th - First Competition Day - Harrison

Love this picture! Cousins!
And this one! Daddy/daughter
Sunday, October 17th - We enjoyed celebrating Jenna's friend Ashleigh's Confirmation. Beautiful day. And donkeys!

Wednesday, October 20th - 1st place in 2A regionals!
The color guard coach posted a video of the band and captions were auto generated to say "TCA Titan Marching Dead" instead of Marching Band. So funny!

Saturday, October 23rd - Last regular season home game. It was a gorgeous day - probably the warmest game of the season!
Saturday evening - Kevin and Kellen went to the Air Force Academy football game. And, Jenna went to the trumpet section party.
Sunday, October 24th - Jenna went with Brooke to Diana's Pumpkin Patch. Kevin, Geremy, Grant, and Kellen went to play 9 holes of golf.

I enjoyed a beautiful walk. We've had such a gorgeous fall! Warmer temperatures and no snow yet have allowed the leaves to stay beautiful longer.
Sunday afternoon, my friend brought us a Yule Log left over from a food photo shoot. So delicious!

Monday, October 25th - It was kind of a drag to go to work, but it was another beautiful day with beautiful views of fall color. And, it's a fun time of year with the annual Halloween onesie contest.
Saturday, October 30th - I took Kellen to trunk or treat at church while Kevin and Jenna had an all day rehearsal.

Sunday, October 31st - Driving in to work, I was sad about missing Halloween with Jenna and Kellen. Prayers were answered through the blessings of my friend greeting me with apple cider & pumpkin bread (brought just for me because she knew I as sad about having to work that day), the night nurse that bathed all the babies for me (which allowed time for fun despite being short staffed), baby ghost feet, babies in cute costumes, our oldest baby trick-or-treating around the unit, the physicians recording a tik tok dance, and all of us timing each other matching the names with the bones. Best day I've had in the NICU by far. (And I didn't have to go out in 34 degree misty weather trick-or-treating.)

At home, Kevin did a great job pumpkin carving with Kellen and helping the kids get ready. He took Jenna to a friend's house to trick or treat a bit and hand out candy. And, then he and Kellen braved the cold and did trick or treating around our neighborhood.

We had quite a full October!
