Saturday, March 1st - Jenna's long awaited and final college audition - Texas Tech. They had a really impressive welcome session with a woodwind ensemble performance and the introduction of all of the school of music faculty as well as the dean. And some tasty breakfast burritos and salsa as well. Quite the welcome!
After the audition, we toured campus a bit. Then went out for a celebratory dinner at Orlando's Italian Restaurant.
We had a little bit of time after dinner, so we went to Prairie Dog Town. Then, to the long awaited Bahama Bucks! Curtis and a few new friends from Colorado Springs met up with us and we had a great time together.
Sunday, March 2nd - Back on the road home. We stopped at Arby's in Dumas and Kevin got his first senior discount! Ha!
Tuesday, March 11th - A generous offer for Jenna from Colorado State School of Music!
Thursday, March 13th - Pikes Peak Jazz Festival for Kellen
Friday, March 14th - Jenna's quintet performed at the Fine Arts Assembly. The entire assembly was so good! And, another generous offer for Jenna - from Colorado Mesa School of Music!
Saturday, March 15th - Band Chili Dinner and Silent Auction! So very glad to have this over with - so much work. And, so much great music! (Can't see Kellen in the picture we have of his group.)
Thursday, March 20th - A generous offer for Jenna from Texas Tech University! Finally, all the waiting and uncertainty and hard work has paid off. It's been quite a long season. Now, to decide . . .
Also, Thursday, March 20th - Michigan playing in the first round of the tournament in Denver. Kevin, Kellen, and I had a great time watching the Yale/A&M game first and then watching Michigan win! And, the only fun thing Kellen was able to do on "spring break." He started spring break early with congestion and coughing. He missed school on Friday and was sick all of the break - sick for 10 days! His ears started hurting Thursday of break and he ended up having bilateral ear infections. And kept coughing for another couple weeks.
Friday, March 21st - Senior Lock-In. Jenna was living her best life with karaoke.
Saturday, March 22nd - My first Saturday at home since January 4th! Work or Honor Bands or college auditions plus the chili dinner/auction. Crazy!
Friday, March 28th - Great to watch one of Grant's baseball games!
Tuesday, March 25th - Fun prom dress shopping with Aubrey and Robin!
Sunday, March 30th - We all enjoyed the admitted Texas Tech students and families lunch at Maggiano's.
