- I read 46 books, a bit shy of my usual goal of 52, and down from 50 last year.
- Both Jenna and Kellen had the privilege of performing at CMEA in January.
- Jenna graduated high school and started college at Texas Tech. And Kellen finished junior high and started high school at TCA.
- TCA had 4 delays and 4 snow days. The very first snow day of 2025 was the day school was supposed to start back after Christmas and the day they added back into the calendar to allow for more snow days! Ha! 1 of the snow days (Kellen's Birthday!) and 1 delay were this fall.
- One last basketball pep band in February for Jenna. And, February, March (Regional), April (State), and May concerts with TCA wind ensemble and jazz bands. And, THEN! College concerts and Goin' Band for Jenna! What a first semester she's had at Tech - Big 12 Champions and headed to the Orange Bowl! Plus second chair in the Symphonic Band and a great first Jury!
- February pre-contest, May, and December (first High School and first chair Symphonic Band!) concerts for Kellen. First year of marching band for Kellen - 3 Football game half time performances, 1 fall break pep band game, and 2 playoff game pep bands. Legend, Big Cat, Regionals, and State competitions. 2A State Champions again!! 5 years in a row!
- Kellen received the Patrick S. Gilmore award.
- Jenna received the John Philip Sousa award.
- Kevin and Jenna played together at our Easter church service.
- Kevin played with The Little London Winds a couple times.
- Kellen ran 8th grade track and plans to try for 9th grade track this spring.
- We enjoyed watching the first commercial Garrison worked, aired during the Super Bowl for winning the Doritos contest!
- We traveled to Ft Collins, Ft Worth/Waco twice (Sara & Jenna), Broomfield (Colorado Mesa) (Sara & Jenna), and Lubbock for college auditions.
- We were all able to visit Boulder (CU Honor Band), Ft Collins (All State Orchestra, State Concert Band), and Greeley (All State Honor Band and Greeley Jazz Festival). Keystone, Winter Park, and Wichita. And, Lubbock to take Jenna to college and to attend 2 games.
- Both Jenna and Kellen went to Summer Excitement again. Jenna a couple days late due to Freshman Orientation at Texas Tech.
- Mima, Jenna, and Sara went to Kauai for Jenna's senior trip.
- We enjoyed some hiking. We had some fun game nights - Jackbox is still a favorite.
- Kevin and I celebrated 26 years of marriage.
- Kevin started his second year at State Farm. I completed six years of working in the NICU (9 years at St. Francis) and completed 5 years of school nurse consulting.
- We were mostly well this year which is a tremendous blessing!
Good days and hard days, still we have so much to be thankful for!
