Pictures of Claire

Here are a few random pictures of the baby. My mom has better pictures of us at the hospital so I will try to get her pictures on here soon.

She didn't cry until they bathed her. And when I heard that cry........ ouch. My ears hurt. She has the LOUDEST cry I have ever heard from a baby!!

My mom is here until Thursday and I am so thankful that she could come. She has been a lifesaver and the kids love having her here. Claire has been pretty good, minus last night and today. Hopefully she can keep being a good baby.

Oh yeah, her middle name is Jean, after my Grandma. My grandma is the kindest and sweetest lady to everyone around her and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. We hope Claire can look to her as an example.

She's here!!!

Baby Claire was born Wednesday, August 27th at 4:18 pm.

She weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 1 oz and was 21.5 inches long.

She is really cute with a ton of really dark hair.

We are both home from the hospital doing great.

Pictures will be coming soon!

Nesting

I can't believe the energy I have this week. 10 times more than I have had the past 9 months.

-The floors are mopped
-Carpets vacuumed wall-to-wall and carpet cleaned
-Toys all sorted through
-Clothes all sorted through (mine, 2 kids, and babies)
-Baby stuff all put together
-Bathrooms cleaned
-Food picked from garden
-Fridge cleaned out and full
-Cupboards full
-Table and chairs scrubbed down and put those little padded things on the the bottom to help ease the scooting of the chair and not leave marks.
-Laundry done
-Dusted everything
-Cleaned half the garage (the side I park on)
-Windows washed (inside only)
-Ironing......oh wait, I don't iron. But if I did, that would be done too
-Van vacuumed and cleaned out. I even put the baby car seat in already.
-VT has been thought about. They may just get letters this month.
-Sheets all changed
-Every closet and drawer organized
-All the kids books organized from tallest to shortest (even though this only lasts a day)
-etc. etc. etc.

-Oh, and I even changed 2 light bulbs!

Okay, so you get the point. I am nesting.

FHE presents

Every Monday for FHE we get the privilege of ending the night with lots of little presents to open. Dylan spends the majority of day looking around the house for various items and wrapping them. He loves this.

Last night, I ended the night with some dental floss, toothpaste, a foot brush/scrubber, some binkis for the baby, a note pad and some cough medicine.

I know, you are all jealous of my gifts.

Favorite things at the park...

Here is Cassie:

Her favorite thing to do at the park is this:

Here is Dylan:

His favorite thing to do at the park is this:

And this:

(plus or minus his flying shovel and bucket)

And since my family doesn't get to see me pregnant and has requested a picture, here you go:

(I tried to get the picture as small as I could get it because it wasn't a great one. hehe)

34-35 weeks pregnant. And I must say, I feel like I have grown a ton since. I will try to post an updated one before the big day.

Big baby???

I had an ultrasound yesterday and my doctor did some measurements of the baby and guessed that she already weighs about 7 lbs 2 oz.
Doesn't that seem big for still having 3 1/2 weeks left?

David Archuleta

I know, some of you probably do not like David Archuleta (runner-up for American Idol), and I used to feel the same way, but his voice has really grown on me and I really really really like listening to him sing.

So when I found this link on a friend's blog, I was very excited. 'Be Still My Soul' is one of my very favorite hymns and with David Archuleta singing it, I keep going back to listen to it.

Just click on this link and enjoy:

(I also think it is funny that someone recorded this and put it on here)

Will this ever end......?

As we sit down to read scriptures every night:

Dylan: "I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Cassie: "No, I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Dylan: "No, I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Cassie: "No, I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Repeat above section about 10 times.

As we kneel to pray before we go to bed:

Dylan: "I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Cassie: "No, I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Dylan: "No, I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Cassie: "No, I want to sit by mommy and daddy."

Repeat above section about 10 times.

As we sit at the table to say the blessing:

Cassie: "It's my turn to say prayers."

Dylan: "No, it's my turn to say prayer."

Cassie: "NO, IT'S MYYYYYYY TURN."

Dylan: "NOOOO, IT'S MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TURN."

Repeat above section about 10 times.

When we are driving down the road in the van:

(substitute the word 'tree' for any of the following: house, church, train, field, park, grass, airplane, dog, etc.)

Cassie: "That's my tree."

Dylan: "No, that's my tree."

Cassie: "NO, THAT'S MYYYYYY TREEE."

Dylan: "NO, THAT'S MYYYYYYYYY TREEEEEEEEE."

Repeat above section about 10 times.

I really could go on and on and on and on, but I won't. I think you get my point.

But seriously, kids. This has got to end.
