Women are women: The Future of Shopping

Look at how innovations and technologies have changed the world. Simply make our lives easier. I bet all the women would love this when it comes to shopping. You need not have to take pieces of clothes which you wanna try on into the changing room. Some stores only allow a limited number of clothes to be brought into the changing room. But now, with this new innovation, you don't have to go through all that trouble!

Saturday night fever

It was a Saturday night and d most perfect time to relax after the long-hours of working for five days continuously. Truth to be told, I love the on-going lifestyle at night which has lots of exciting activities. Penang is definitely a happening place.

My Uncle gave me the chance to see and experience it in just one night. We went to Soho Free House for a drink, together with a 19 year old German girl. We exchanged stories about ourselves and it made me realized how different are we as typical Asians, compared to the Westerns in terms of exposure. Lets see, she drinks, she smokes, she party, she has a boyfriend and she travels all by herself to Penang. If I were to be like her, I'll be in a hot soup!! Obviously, I was the only one who didn't know how to drink and smoke, so I settled myself with a glass of orange juice. Plus, I inhaled too much smoke from them. *Cough*

The string of retro hits were belted out here in Soho. Music was loud and piercing. It went boom-boom-pow!! It was actually fun to see people coupled up and danced along to the music. Most of them were foreigners and some locals. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, laughing like a drain and getting themselves drunk. I was actually enjoying myself until a fight happened next to my table among the Indians. They tend to get rowdy when they are drunk. Broken glasses, fallen chairs and tables. Almost got myself knocked by them. So, we moved upstairs where it was less 'wild'. Witnessing all that drama gave me a culture shock. I doubt I will ever go to such places without a company.

After some chit-chatting, we left home past midnight and I came home with the smell of smoke and beer, on my hair and clothes, bugger. Then I drifted off to sleep as soon as I was on my bed.

Story of Bak Kua and Tau Kua

I did something stupid. One of the stupidest things I've ever done.

I went out for lunch with family. Walked along the stalls, thinking of what to eat, and finally decided to eat roti bak hu. I spoke to the man in Malay language but he answered me in Hokkien. He seriously looked like a Malay or maybe an Indonesian due to his dark skin complexion. So, I spoke to him in Hokkien.

On second thought, I wanted to extra order another bread with a different ingredient. So I ordered bak kua roti, but instead of that, I asked for a tau kua. I felt a sudden hot flush on my cheeks. Maybe the seller heard what I said, which I hope he didn't. Have I been eating tau kua too much? Then I paid, took my breads, went over to my table where my family was sitting, told them what happened and they laughed at my silliness. Not long after that, my dad also went to order roti bak kua. When he returned, he told us he ordered a tau kua! Why? He said because the word tau kua was stucked in his head. Hahahaha! I couldn't stop laughing. I mentioned it not long ago before he went but he did the same mistake like I did.

You Wait For Rain

I overheard this beautiful song when I was watching One Tree Hill. It was sung by Kyler England in her album Simple Machine and I would love to share it with you.

A.Change.Is.Gonna.Come

We go through three stages in life which are the teen age, working age and old age. What are the differences among these three stages?

When we are teens, we have more TIME doing the things we like, like going out for movies, shopping and playing basketballs with friends. The only time we don't have is during school hours. Hell yeah we have plenty of ENERGY! Always moving about, living an active life by getting involved in activities. But what we don't have is MONEY. Because not working, therefore, no income. Unless, we take up part-time jobs.

At working age, we will all have MONEY. We'll also have ENERGY. All we will do is work, work and work with a big pile of papers sitting on our desks. Or perhaps busy doing something else. However, TIME is what we are lacking of. We will go to work before break of the dawn and reach home by nightfall. At the end of the day, there'll only few hours left till the following day begins.

Despite being at the last stage in life, there's still TIME. We often see elderly people holding hand in hand, walking down the park, playing tai chi or lian gong and yam cha early in the morning. For those who'll receive an old-age/a retirement pension, a regular income will be paid by the government, therefore, there'll be MONEY. But then, we'll have no ENERGY. Some of us will need a stick or a cane to assist us in walking.

C'est la vie, which means that's life.

You can't always get everything you want. There are times when you have to forgo something that you would like to do or to have in order to achieve another. It's just like making decisions. When you want this, you can't have that. Which is why you need to pick and choose.

Please don't stop the music

We grew up listening to boy/girl bands like 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Westlife and Spice Girls.
We collect their music albums, carefully arrange them on a shelf from A-Z, stick their posters on the wall, cupboards and our parents would pester us to remove them.
We jump for joy when we see them on tv or when we hear them on the radio.
We beg our parents to pay for concert tickets.
Some skip school just to see them live...

I was pretty much infatuated by them. Crazy over cute, good-looking and young boy bands and wish I look as pretty and attractive as the girls. I remember when I was younger, I would hold a torchlight or a remote control as a microphone, in front of the tv, sing and follow their dance moves. I also recalled myself dancing to The Way You Make Me Feel by Steps, in front of my cousin sister but yea I sucked. Oh and NTV7 used to play those music videos on tv. I could remember which of my favourite video comes first and which comes later, 'coz the sequence were pretty much the same everyday.

Out of boredom, I found myself watching videos of A1, S Club 7, Code Red, 911, Solid Harmony and All Saints as well as groovy Toy-Box and Vengaboys on youtube and listening to their songs which I haven't listened in ages. They certainly did bring good memories.

and I'm hoping you could get lost

As what people used to say, 'Do not simply talk to strangers'. They approach you, say hi and try to have a conversation with you as if they know you for a long time. It happens in any social networking websites be it facebook, my space, twitter, plurks etc. where you can connect to friends and meet new people. I'm not saying it's wrong to make friends. But it creates even more suspicions when there are no pictures, no information...nothing. Seriously, don't. Don't try to act like you know me, sending me messages, responding on my plurks or whatever shit you're doing coz it really bugs me and I find it annoying.

Near-death experience

Little did I know, I was close to death when I was at the age of 1 year plus. Hong Seng Estate was where I grew up with kampung houses on the hill. I was sitting on a potty doing my 'business' when a 7 foot long cobra slithered into the kitchen where I was...you know. My mum totally freaked out when she saw it and ran next-door to ask for help. So happened those who came were Indians. Snakes have a very important role in Indian mythologies and beliefs. The Indians attributed cobras to a leader or emperor and given a royal status. With that said, they refused to kill it.

Max barked at the snake, it glided by me and into my uncle's room. Another neighbour, thankfully a Chinese, who heard my mum screaming her lungs out "Snake! Snake!", came to the rescue with two bamboo sticks. It was killed in cold blood. Should the snake bite me, I would be dead....maybe it didn't bite me because I was born in the year of snake (according to Chinese calendar) and that made us....friends?

Painted in blue

At last, I've finished painting parts of the kitchen and bathroom. They were sparkling from a distance and looked brand-new! Hopefully I will not be asked to paint my room door coz I'm starting to feel tired of it. But hey, not bad for a starter. Who needs painting service I'll be glad to do it for you...with charge. Ain't going to do it for free. There's no such thing as free lunch.

How was I supposed to read...?!

I plugged in my ipod and took out a book to read while waiting for the doctor to arrive. Alas, ipod ran out of battery. Darn! No music, no concentration. My focus was diverted away from the book to the people around me from time to time.

Saw a young, teenage, Korean/Japanese lookalike boy, at about my age, wore the same brand of clothing line from head to toe. T-Shirt from Nike. Sport shoes from Nike. Sling bag from Nike. I doubt if his trousers is not from Nike. Seriously...it gave me a sore eye having to see the same symbol printed 'all over him'. So I continued reading.

A distracting noise came from few feets away. Mr. Tubby, a fat-looking, Chinese businessman (I could tell from his actions and the way he dressed) was on a call, put it on loudspeaker and spoke at the top of his voice like no one's business. I would shove a big burger into his big mouth if I could!! He hung up the call, thus, I continued reading.

Annoying.

However, I was rather amused upon hearing the conversation between two 'ah mohs' who were sitting next to me. The husband was racking is brains to solve a crossword puzzle. His wife knew the answer but...

H: No no no no! Don't tell me.
W: But I'm not going to tell you the word...just a hint
H: No no no no!

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Now this is what you called an action-packed movie! There were more and more fighting and bomb-blasting scenes every few minutes, which I think it's cool! It was reaally fast-moving that you wouldn't even wanna miss a second of it. Not even a blink of an eye! I loved the part when the Joes were speed-chasing after the Cobras on the busy roads in Paris. I was very impressed with the bulky and heavy-looking metal suit (the accelerator). Instead of slowing them down, it made Duke and Rip ran faster and jumped higher than ever before. However, this movie is too predictable. I expected Ana to switch sides, true enough, she did and the President of the United States turned out to be a replica of the real President. Anyways, there should be a Part 2 of G.I. Joe and I'm certainly looking forward to it! How thrilling would it be if I'm recruited to be one of the Joes? *dreaming*

Channing Tatum as Duke

Isn't he HOT??!! At a glance, he looks just like Nick Lachey.

Sienna Miller as Ana Lewis

I still think she looks better in black hair.

Today's most functional English word

It's SHIT...that's right, SHIT! SHIT may just be the most functional word in the English language.

You can smoke SHIT, buy SHIT, sell SHIT, lose SHIT, find SHIT, forget SHIT, and tell others to eat SHIT. Some people know their SHIT, while others can't tell the difference between SHIT and shineola. There are lucky SHITs, dumb SHITs, and crazy SHITs. There is bull SHIT, horse SHIT, and chicken SHIT. You can throw SHIT, sling SHIT, catch SHIT, shoot the SHIT, or duck when the SHIT hits the fan. You can give a SHIT or serve shit on a shingle.

You can find yourself in deep SHIT or be happier than a pig in SHIT. Some days are colder than SHIT, some days are hotter than SHIT, and some days are just plain shitty. Some music sounds like SHIT, things can look like SHIT, and there are times when you feel like SHIT. Sometimes food even tastes like SHIT. You can have too much SHIT, not enough SHIT, the right SHIT, the wrong SHIT or a lot of weird SHIT. You can carry SHIT, have a mountain of SHIT, or find yourself up SHIT creek without a paddle. Sometimes everything you touch turns to SHIT and other times you fall in a bucket of SHIT and come out smelling like a rose.

When you stop to consider all the facts, it's the basic building block of the English language.
And remember, once you know your SHIT, you don't need to know anything else!!
Well, SHIT, it's time for me to go. Just wanted you to know that I do give a SHIT and hope you have a nice day, without a bunch of SHIT. But, if you happened to catch a load of SHIT from some SHIT -head..

Well...shit Happens!

annnnddddd.....That's No SHIT!

C.A.C.T.U.S

As usual, I would visit grandma on Sunday. Once every two weeks and spend quality time with her. Take her to do some shopping, run some errands, have a stroll in town, let her taste the food that she feels like eating etc. So when I was there, I found something to do to ease my boredom for the whole 5 months...that is to plant a cactus. Grandma kept a baby cactus for me. I poured soil in a pot and planted the cactus in it. Did it with blood, sweat and tears. Ok, I know I'm exaggerating. Just sweat. I'm going to see the lil' thing grow!

You control where you go. You can steer.

I was really looking forward to rollerblading for the past few days but I will not anticipate it anytime soon. Starting to feel a little phobia. Phobia in rollerblading. I haven't been practicing since primary. I fell twice. First, landed flat right on the floor, front first. Second, my ass kissed the ground, bit my lip and it bled. That's it! Had enough of it. I wouldn't want to go home with wounds and bruises all over my obdy. But it was hilarious when Ben fell. It puts a smile on my face each time I think of it and try real hard to hold back my laughter. Benny, on the other hand, was a pro! He tried different stunts without fail! Emily joined us later.

Ben and I had our last meal with Ivan. Not that anyone of us is dead. But Ivan is leaving for KL. He brought us to look for boxers. Suggested him 'The Unders' but the poster of a guy wearing an underwear at the entrance of the shop totally freaked him out.

After that, I went to Borders to meet Debra. Bought a fiction book entitled The Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult whereas Debra bought Change of Heart by the same author. We were able to get the book at 20% discount because Fiona is working there. Then came across a book What Men Know About Women. Guess what? the content of the book was empty! Meaning, men knows NOTHING about women! Perhaps the empty pages were meant for men to write down what they know about women. The book cost around RM17. Who would wanna buy an empty book at that price?!

At the end of the day, I headed home exhausted, before the traffic started to build.

Freedom surging through our veins

First time in 2 years and 6 months, the Business School actually gave us the wrong question paper during examination. The moment I opened the paper to look at the questions *I wasn't suppose to do that*, my heart stopped. They were all different from what I studied! At that moment, I thought I was going to fail. I took in and let out a deep audible breathe in relief after they provided us with the correct question paper.

Different emotions and feelings are blended in me. I'm happy to finally complete my diploma. At last I'm able to put my feet up. But what most will say, graduation is just a beginning of something new. I'm feeling blue at the same time. College has been the best of times (not exactly true) but yea...they were bitter sweet. I've made new friends. They were amazing but some are freakin' weird. Eerieeeeee. Definitely something to be remembered.

Soon, we're going to part. We'll go on our separate ways. "As we go on, we'll remember all the times we had together"

I'm drugged. Is it healthy?

Despite how much I hate how Seal looks like, I'm obssessed with his song Kiss From A Rose. A beautiful melody. I'm hooked! Just like in the song, 'a growing addiction that I can't deny'. I fell head over heels in love with Danny Gokey the moment he sang that song when he auditioned for American Idol. 'My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen'

Malaysia's Cuisine

I'm thankful to be living in a country with great variety of food to eat. Food from different cultures, be it Malay, Indian or Chinese. When I come right down to it, food is the first thing that comes to mind the minute when people ask "Why do you love Penang?". There are more to it. Taking into account of convenience - being able to travel from one place to another within a short period of time and to obtain our necessary needs just within a walking distance.

Seriously! I couldn't imagine myself living in KL for that matter. It's sooo congested. It takes almost an hour drive from Shah Alam to KLCC. The food is undeniably a big-ticket! No doubt, the shopping mall acts like a magnet, which draws people to KL. Certainly a place for big spenders.

I've been feeding on mamak food for the passed two days. There's a place famous for its nasi kandar which is known as Line Clear. (It's called Line Clear perhaps 'coz the line is clear??). And when you put teh tarik and nasi kandar together, it will be utterly perfect! Apparently, there's also Nasi Beratur. The queue is long whereby you have to wait in line for your turn to make orders. That's where the name came from. I also came across Oblong burger because the burger is oblong in shape.

Their names are simply bizarre, don't they?

Hell of a week

The legendary King of Pop and my all-time favourite superstar, Michael Jackson, had passed away due to cardiac arrest. I was dumbfounded after hearing the breaking news over the radio early morning at 6.30am. Practically, each and every radio station I tuned in to, played his greatest hits as a tribute.

First and foremost, his moonwalk dance fascinates me. I remembered when I was a kid, I used to follow his moves from the video of 'Thriller'.
His music is a bomb! Every beat of his songs kept me movin'.
He doesn't adhere to the trend, trying to look like everyone else. He's original. He's HIM!

He will always be remembered. MJ will reign forever!

On top of that, Farrah Fawcett, one of the Charlie Angels back in the 1970s, also died suffering from cancer.

******

I was wide awake before the crack of dawn. Spent 5 hours in the hospital.

My grandmother said the the word 'FUCK'!

Have you ever studied so hard like this?

As students, we've been through hardship of studying for many years. From preschool to tertiary education. We studied for knowledge. Normally, we would hit the books before we sit for examinations (not including those i-don't-give-a-damn-about-exams slackers who are able to sit for exams lightheartedly, without studying AT ALL!)

Perhaps you'll be able to learn something after watching the video below.

Have you ever studied so hard like this?! I know I've never.

My goodness! He's just a kid.

Wait till his eyes pops out!

So have you learned your lesson?

Cheezy Cheese!!

The hunger for chilled cheesecake was mounting. The energy and enthusiasm drove me to make chilled cheesecake. So I went to a cake shop, bought the premix and started mixing and whipping.

Couldn't remember exactly how to make one but what the hell...just gave it a try.

First, I poured the premix and water in a mixing bowl. Whisked on low speed for a minute and scraped down. Then, whisked on medium speed for about two minutes till the mixture was smooth. Finally, I poured the mixture on a biscuit base and chilled it overnight.

Easy peasy!

The outcome? How did it taste? You wouldn't wanna know.

Mistakes

Every single day, we mingle with our family, friends, co-workers and even someone whom you do not know. Perhaps one may not realize that a simple gesture or a simple word may hurt the feelings of others. You may be thoughtless and insensitive about a particular matter but it matters to others. Your speech. Your action. They could easily make a person feels hurt and vulnarable. Despite how cautious you are, you might still be insufficiently aware of other people's feelings and not able to respond to them appropriately.

Saapidu!

Out of the blue, I felt the urge to eat banana leaf rice. So we headed off to Ananda Bahwan for lunch. I would say Indian food is by far the most appetizing food I've ever had. It was served with three types of vegetables (brinjal, bitter gourd and the other one, i had no idea), three types of curry (dahl, fish curry and chicken curry) and papadum!

She uttered a cry of despair...

How our future will turn out to be when we grow old and incapable of taking care of ourselves??

Today, I witnessed an old lady, 90 years of age, being sent to a nursing home. She refused to stay and claimed that it wasn't her home. How would she feel? ...scared, disappointed and abandoned... She cried, she begged. My heart twitched.

Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, we are left with no other options and to accept what that has settled for us.

I'm gonna keep on, keep on, up, up!

Went to a shoe shop to mend shoes, of course. 3 pairs of 'em. Dad who claimed himself as "MacGyver", offered to refurbish a pair.

Me: How are you going to mend that shoe? What's your technique?
Dad: I'm not going to tell you.
Me: Why not?
Dad: Coz you'll know the tricks.
Me: (Urgh! Egoistic)

When is Father's Day? Note to self: Every third Sunday of July.

For a change, I ate Korean Noodles instead of Nissin Noodles.

Went for a movie with cousins, The Night At The Musuem 2: The Battle Of The Smithsonian, again. Comical. All the seats were almost occupied. Left with no other options, we had to sit on the third row from the screen. My neck stiffen up after the movie.

Bought an Oxford Dictionary for advanced learners. My 'new year' resolution starting from today is to read dictionary. Am I crazy? YEA. If only I could get an Oxford Thesaurus....

...maybe I'll do that later.

Currently following the episodes of 90210 and Chuck.

And I'm back on Twitter!

Goodbye by Kristinia DeBarge

Kristinia DeBarge, American R&B singer, who was also one of the contestants in American Idol spinoff in 2003, American Juniors. She didn't make it to the finals. However, her single 'Goodbye' had brought her under the spotlight.

Am I supposed to put my life on hold
because you don't know how to act
and you don't know where your life is going
Am I supposed to be torn apart, broken hearted, in a corner crying?
Pardon me if I don't show it
I don't care if I never see you again
I'll be alright
Take this final piece of advice and get yourself together,
but either way baby, I'm gone

chorus:
I'm so over it, I've been there and back
Changed all my numbers and just in case you're wondering
I got that new
I'm a single girl swag
Got me with my girls and we're singin' it...... Sing!
na na na na, na na na na
hey hey hey
goodbye
na na na na hey, na na na na hey,
hey hey hey
goodbye

Cut my hair 'cuz it reminded me of you
I know you like the long 'do,
had to switch my attitude up
Thinkin' of changing up how I ride, No more
on the passenger side
too bad you miss out on the way that I drive it
I don't care if I never see you again
I'll be alright
Take this final piece of advice and get yourself together,
but either way baby, I'm gone

Chorus:
I'm so over it, I've been there and back
Changed all my numbers and just in case you're wondering
I got that new

The 'Gentlemen' and the 'Ladies'

I'm starting to wonder if the toilet signs are not big enough for the public to see?

I went to the ladies washroom located next to Secret Recipe in Gurney Plaza. When I was just about to leave the washroom, a man walked in until he until he saw us (females!). Upon realizing that, he gave a smack on his forehead and walked out looking embarrassed. The big blue toilet sign indicating a ladies washroom was sooo big right in front of him and he actually walked pass it without realizing. He should be fortunate that we didn't scream.

HELLO?! Do you need a pair of glasses?

Sharing of joy

After 10 years being together, they finally tied the knot. Was glad to see the newlyweds and their family after 7 years. Some grew up, some still look the same, some with familiar faces and yet I couldn't recall who the hell were they. Believe it or not, I almost reached the height of the bridegroom! Which means I'm not really that short (Oh! And I didn't mean that the bridegroom is short).

I was a kid back then when I used to run over to their house for shelter after I got beaten up by granny. With a cane. Now you know how naughty I was. Mum of the bridegroom would bring me along wherever she goes, to pick her children up from work or from school. She taught me how to fold silver papers while her children taught me how to write and read Chinese. I still suck at it though.

The opening of the wedding dinner was none like others. Eight couples, consist of best friends to the bride and bridegroom, lined up along the aisle, throwing flower petals to welcome the wedding couple.

The hosts tried to humor us with their funny side and jokes but nehhh it didn't work for me! The Y.M.C.A dance on the stage was entertaining! The bridegroom made a fool out of himself but who cares? He enjoyed himself.

10 people was allocated to one table. 3 didn't show up. In the midst of the course, 2 left the table, and then another 2. So, left 3 of us, sitting at a big round table. How could 3 people finish up a large serving of dish? Mr.Waiter was shocked to see the empty seats and laughed to himself. I laughed to myself too.

Food was yummylicious! It went well with a glass of red wine.

Coffee is good to go!

Yes, I'm a coffee addict. I love White Coffee. I love Nescafe. I love to go to Starbucks and Coffee Bean. I drink Kopi Susu practically every morning. The aroma of the coffee (Mmm!). A day without coffee could wipe me out flat on the floor! Conservative, traditional and old-school people might say, coffee is bad for health and bla bla bla. The list goes on and on and on...

Scientifically speaking, coffee is not bad for health after all!

I came across this e-mail in my inbox, "9 Reasons to Drink More Coffee".

1. It helps you shed pounds - People who drank more metabolism-firing caffieine gained less weight over 12 years than those who cut back on coffee.

2. It power your workouts

3. It helps you wake up freshed - Drinking a cup of coffee before taking a 15-30 minutes catnap can leave you alert and rested after waking up.

4. It can ward off illness - Prevent liver cancer; reduce heart disease

5. It can ease muscle cramps

6. It makes cardio feel like a cinch

7. It helps you get what you want - Perhaps you're dealing with a difficult person? Broach a tough topic over a cup of joe! It makes people more open to persuasion.

8. It may fight breast cancer

9. It improves recall! - Perks up short term memory! Drink it before a big exam/meeting to be your sharpest!

I ♥ Sony Ericsson

Check these out!
I've always wished for Sony Ericsson C903. The glamour red mobile phone caught my eyes when I first saw it. It's slim, stylish and elegant with a 5 megapixels camera. Much to my dismay, it's not available in stores yet. For more info, click on the link below.

Then came Sony Ericsson W995. Currently in the top of my list! Its specifications met all my requirements in a mobile phone. Fully satisfied. It's a walkman phone with an 8.1 megapixels camera. Cool aight? Yet again, it's unavailable in stores. It's available in 3 colours. Unable to decide which colour is the best. Maybe you could help me pick one? For more info, click on the link below.

Thank Goodness It's Friday

I took my car for service in the morning. Serviceman was speedy! It took him less than 15 minutes. Didn't kept me waiting for a long time, which was good, because I couldn't bare the smell in the repair shop. Euk! Might end up with lung cancer or something.

Went to Auto-City for lunch with relatives. Northern Star Cafe, concepts were similar to OldTown and Georgetown Cafe. Food was average. Very filling. Came home with my stomach overstuffed although I had only a bowl of noodles and a glass of iced drink. The journey there was bumpy. Oh man, they should do something with the roads! They were filled with holes! Almost threw up! Fortunately, I didn't. Fuh!

Stopped by at Tesco. My aunt had to run some errants. While waiting, I went to Popular and bought a copy of Thanks For The Memories by Cecelia Ahern.

Even when you're not sure where you're headed, it helps to know you're not going there alone.

No one has all the answers and sometimes the best we can do is just apologize and let the past be the past.

Other times, we need to look to the future and know that even when we think we see it all, life can still surprise us and we can still surprise ourselves.

Grieve for bad times?

At last, the connection is back to normal. Couldn't imagine how I would spend my time without the Internet. It left me no choice but to call my 'life savior' to resolve the problem. He replaced a new splitter and a new modem. Cost me RM150 including installation fee. Sigh.

As what people used to say,
great sacrifices comes with great reward

It's been 3 days

I nearly died of boredom. The Streamyx connection cuts off every few seconds. Something is wrong somewhere. Could it be the modem? OR Streamyx sucks?

I came across these in my picture folder. They are similar somehow.

Knives

A fork

A leg

Yeah! I managed to play 'Greensleeves' on the keyboard!

Celebrate Good Times

Thank goodness exam was over yesterday! Academic English 3 was good, International Business was average and Malaysian Economics...BAD. As what I expected. Let's put that behind.

We were on our way, walking towards our car. I saw an almost bald, middle-aged man who was wearing a pair of glasses walking out from who-knows-where. I waved at him and actually said hi . Was waiting for his response but he didn't. As I looked closer, guess what, "oh! wrong person". I SWEAR he totally looked like my uncle! I was sure his mind was saying "Do I know you?". What's next? My friends were laughing hysterically because of my stupidity.

We had lunch at Lau Sher. I had Tom Yam fried rice. The food was delicious!

And this is what I encountered...
Aren't they sweet? Haha

'Angels and Demons' was commendable. The movie ended with a tremendous twist! Plus, the scenes taken in Vatican City was breathtaking. Definitely one of my favourite travel destination!

I need a pair of sunshades.

Dad said I put on weight.

I cleaned the fan these evening. It was very dusty.

I'm looking forward to play the keyboard.

My breath stinked after eating buah petai.

And 'Eclipse' mint helped!

It's too late to apologize...it's too late

The lady living just right below my unit, has always been caring towards our well-being and at all times willing to lend a helping hand.

Today, as generous as always, she made us 'Lo Mai Kai' which came together with antique bowls and she put them in a plastic bag. Took it from her and brought the food home. Without due care and attention, the plastic slipped out of my hands and the bowls went kaput! OMG! Those were Chinese antique bowls! I repeat...ANTIQUE! 2 of 'em! Where can I find the exact same bowls to replace the broken ones? Sigh. I'm so sooorrryyy. It was unintentional!

Owing to my clumsiness, first thing I'll do tomorrow is to knock on her door and apologize. Hope she will not go berserk!

In just a week...

...filled with celebrations. Wesak Day, Mother's Day and several birthdays fell on the same week. All I did was eat, eat and EAT!

...was punished with silent treatment. Less than five words per day. Sigh.

...someone who claimed to be logical in everything he does, yet was illogical in his actions. Absurd.

...someone who's employed, yet, wanted to borrow money from a child. Brainless.

...a significant song which brought to mind a significant someone.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

X-Men Origines: Wolverine

A movie that you don't wanna miss! It was nerve-racking and the special effects topped off the chart! The action-packed movie was absolutely jaw-dropping! Had to hold on to my jaw to keep my mouth closed. Lots of actors featured in this movie. Ryan Reynolds as Wade who later become Deadpool, Will.i.am as John who has the ability to teleport, Dominic Monaghan as Chris, who acted in Lost and was one of the nine members in Fellowship of The Ring. Apart from that, there were short appearances of Aaron Jeffrey (Logan's real father) and Myles Pollard who acted in McLeod's Daughters. On top of that, Hugh Jackman was HOT as ever! Also the Korean guy, Daniel Henney. Couldn't keep my eyes off him!

The remedy is the experience

Mid Term Exam. 9 more days to go. Still counting. I could already feel the strain and pressure. ARGH. According to my lecturer, carrot has a type of nutrient which functions as a memory boost. How true is it? Never heard of it before. BUT I was pretty much convinced by that. Foolishly, I asked a favour from my grandmother to cook carrot soup considering that exam is just around the corner. Feeding on carrots may be an 'antidote' to my absent-mindedness. Perhaps, I will be able to sit for my exam with no trouble. Haha. YEA RITE...DREAM ON!

Sure way to get a job!

To those who are having a hard time getting a job, try this! Maybe it will work. Be sure to call an ambulance for standby just in case you hurt yourself in the process. Good luck!

Gives life more bites.

After Professional Prepatory Training(PPT) class which seemed to be unending, I set out for lunch at Breeks with Debra and Deborah. I was over the moon for it was the first time that I drove a new Proton Saga, which is physically bigger than my small little kancil. Obviously, the Saga wasn't mine. I wished it was. Haha! I was going to hit the signal stalk on my right, however, I activated the wrong control. Instead, I set off the wiper! GREAT! Made a fool out of myself! Those who are not accustomed to Saga (I'm one of them) may hit the wrong stalk by mistake because the damn signal stalk in Saga is on the LEFT side of the column, not on the RIGHT side of the column!

At Breeks, we had Pan-seared Blackpepper "Catch Of The Day" served with pasta and garden vegetable in tobasco butter sauce, and pasta with beef bolognaise sauce.

Do Re Mi

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the movie: The Sound of Music back in the 1990s. It was one of the movies which I grew up with. The history of Von Trapp family and the songs from the musical such as "Edelweiss", "My Favourite Things" and "Do Re Mi" fascinated me ever since I was a kid.

Here is something interesting! 200 dancers appeared out of no where in Central Station Antwerp, Belgium, and performed their style of "Do Re Mi". People gathered around them cheering, clapping and danced along with the music. So, get your ass off from your seat and do the moves! Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Shaheen Jafargholi and Julian Smith

Something worth watching!

12 year old boy, Shaheen Jafargholi, from Swansea auditioned for Britains Got Talent 2009. Didn't manage to wow Simon in his first song, Valerie by Amy Winehouse. However, he brought the house down and blew everyone away, singing Who's Loving You by Michael Jackson.

Saxaphone player, Julian Smith also known as Joolz Gianni (stage name), had touched the judges and audiences with his heartfelt performance. It had brought me to tears and we'll see if you do too.
