HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I can't believe it is going to be 2008. Scott and I are going to go out and eat and see what we can find to do. We probably won't make it until midnight. We aren't too exciting.

Christmas With Scott's Family

We had Christmas with Scott's family this weekend. We continued our eating spree. I think I am going to fast for a week. I got money from Scott and his parents for Christmas. As you know it did not last long. I already spent it on a new digital camera.

Opening our presents at Scott's parents house.

This is my new Christmas decor I got. It matches my western theme.

Christmas With My Family

Well where do I start. We had a great Christmas spending time with all the family. Of course we all ate too much but it was soooo good! Sorry I added so many pictures but there were too many to choose just a few.
Morgan and Aunt Bebe making homemade pizza.

Patting out the dough. She was such a good helper.

Dad and Morgan playing football.

Morgan playing football with Scottie Boy. She would say Blue 42 hut don't get me. It was precious!

Morgan taking family pictures and telling us how to pose.
After Santa Clause Morgan was lying in all the wrapping paper.

Scott and Peyton (my cousin Shelbi's baby) sleeping.

Scott and I got a new video camera and Morgan was telling us how to work it.

Scott got his new bow and is so excited. He wanted a bow for Christmas and had not picked one out yet so I played a trick on him and got him the cheapest one I could find.

Christmas Party at the State Aquarium

Last night Scott and I went to a Christmas party with his company. It was at the State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. The party was located in the Dolphin Room. As we ate, listened to Karaoke, and visited we got to watch the dolphins swim and play. It was so neat. Scott and I want to go tour the whole aquarium while we are down here.

My Week

Well, where do I start? Scott and I headed for Olney for my cousins wedding on Thursday after work and got there about 1:30 Friday morning. I had not seen my family for 2 months which is a long time for me! Scott had to go to Houston for the week so I decided to stay in Olney. It was so nice to get to spend some quality time at home. I kept my niece Morgan until Wednesday and then my parents took Morgan and I to Abilene so I could fly back to Houston on Thursday. We had a busy week. My mom and I went shopping on Tuesday (everyone knows you have to have a shopping trip with your mom). I really enjoyed it! Morgan and I made our rounds around Olney. We went to Air Tractor where my Dad works so Morgan could see the airplanes and sit in them. We had to go twice because she wanted her picture taken and I didn't have my camera the first time. After we went to Air Tractor we went to see the newest member of the family, Peyton, my cousins new baby. He is so precious and Morgan just had a ball. Thursday my sister Whitney and I went to some speciality stores around Abilene and eat lunch with Morgan at day care. After that they dropped me off at the airport. I got on the smallest plane I have ever been on. You had to climb a ladder to get on it. The pilot was good and got me to Houston safely where I met Scottie Boy (that is the new name Morgan gave him). We are going to drive back to Corpus today.

Merry Christmas

I got my Christmas Tree put up in our apartment. I have a bunch more decorations but did not bring them all down here. We had to get a new tree this year. It is pre-lit and turns a slow circle; it is so nice not having to put lights on the tree. I am ready for some snow but doubt we will have any down here. People were still swimming the week of Thanksgiving! I look forward to spending time with family and friends this holiday season.

MY SWEET LITTLE NIECE

This is copied off of my sister Whitney's blog. I just thought this was amazing for a three year old to do and you know how special Morgan (my niece) is so I just wanted to share.

I just had to write a post about this morning... mainly so I never forget it...
I woke up VERY nauseous this morning. I've only thrown up once since I've been pregnant but this morning my nausea was awful. I got up and took a shower b/c I was going to meet some friends at the play area at the mall. I figured they wouldn't invite me any more if I didn't b/c each week I tell them I can't b/c I clean my house on Fridays. After I got out of the shower I started trying to get dressed but ended up in bed! Finally, I couldn't hold it in any longer, so I went to the bathroom and threw up.
Well, my sweet little mother hen was right there with me rubbing and patting my back, saying, "It's gonna be ok Mommy," over and over until I was done. Then she got some toilet paper and said, "Let me wipe your face." It was so sweet! When I was done, she said, "It's gonna be ok. I know how it feels." She had a 24 hr. bug a few weeks ago, so I guess she remembers. Then she was just kissing my forhead and had her arms around me. Oh' it was just the sweetest thing ever. For the next hour, I just laid in bed and she sat right there by me just playing make believe with whatever she could think of. She's going to be such a good big sister!
This picture has nothing to do with my post, but I love it so much that I'm posting it anyways. I think Morgan looks so big in it.

The Weekend

This weekend we went to Scott's cousins wedding in New Braunfels. It was a lot of fun! We got to visit with his family and my sister and her husband. We drove down to Hutto on Friday to get some more stuff and stayed the night. It was good to be home in our bed but I am glad I am able to be in Corpus with Scott. That evening we went to the wedding. Here are some pictures

Moving

Well where do I start. Scott and I have been truly blessed. I was going to be a tuff girl and stay at our house in Hutto until it sold or Scott was finished with training, which ever came first. Scott's boss wanted to make it work where I could be down here with him while he was training. His boss has been very generous. I gave my company my notice and they let me go early because they had someone to cover for me. So Monday after I got off work I loaded up my car and came down to Corpus Christi. I am glad it has gone the way it has because the first week away from Scott was so hard. I was not looking forward to 3 months home alone. I do not have a job yet but have a recruiter looking for one. With any luck maybe I will have a job in a few weeks. I don't like this staying at home all by myself, I get board. We will be back to visit a few weekends a month to check on the house and see everyone.

State Fair

This past weekend Scott and I went to the State Fair. We met my family there and went and watched Aaron Watson (one of my favorites), saw Elsie the Cow, and took Morgan around to different exhibits. We had a lot of fun! We walked by the cow barn and Morgan said, "Those cows are sooo shooey." It was so funny:) We stayed the night with Ashley and Jordan and had a little putt-putt competition. I am not sure who won! Jordan was keeping score! Ha ha. We have a busy few months ahead. Scott is starting his new job in two weeks, a little earlier than planned. We are trying to get everything ready to put our house on the market. Please keep us in your prayers as we are embarking on a new journey. Scott's grandma had a stroke this weekend but is okay and my sister, Whitney, is pregnant again. Yeah! As some of you may know she lost a baby a few months ago and had to have a D&C. Please keep them in your prayers as well.

It's Offically Fall

It is officially fall now and new seasons bring new opportunities. As some of you already know Scott has taken a new job! He will start the first part of November. He will be in Corpus Christi training for 30-90 days. Not really too excited about that but you have to make a sacrifice. He will there 4 days out of the week and be home on the weekends. The actual job will be in East Texas. We will be moving there after he completes his training. Where in East Texas we are not exactly for sure. It will depend on where the largest concentration of his customers are. The good part is he can work from home and that means we won't have to move until we sell our house. It's bitter sweet:) We are just starting to build relationships within the area, yet this might be our chance of getting to move to a smaller town.

Corpus Christi

We just got back from Corpus Christi Monday evening. While we were there we went and toured the USS Lexington, ate dinner on a huge boat, and swam in the ocean. The beach was nothing like Jamaica! It looked more like a lake. The ship was a really neat experience. Everyone needs to go see it. It makes you appreciate our military even more.

1st Blog

My sisters kept giving me a hard time about setting up a blog so here it is. Scott has been gone to Charlotte, NC since Monday. I miss him so much! It makes you realize how special someone is when they are away for a few days. I have just been working extra to pass the time. My parents, sister, and niece came down for the weekend because ACU played Texas State and won. Morgan told me that she was going to stay at my house and didn't want to go home. We miss that little toot! We are going to Corpus Christi for the weekend to relax and have some fun. We are going to go see the USS Lexington, Aquarium, and interview for a job. NO! We are not moving to Corpus. The corporate office is there. I will give you more details when we know something.
