See you next year, Gene!
Gene visits us every Christmas and reports back to Santa if we've been naughty or nice. He usually does all kinds of fun/creative things for the kids. He must have been tired this year, though. Maybe he'll get plenty of rest before Christmas 2015 and come back with some fun ideas.
The kids love that they get to give him one good cuddle before he leaves. They'll miss him greatly!
Little Hands
One day these small hands will no longer fit inside of my own. Sometimes a boy just needs to be with his mommy. I'm going to enjoy these moments for as long as I can.

She cooks? He cleans?
I'm so blessed to have two sweet kids who like to help around the house. Don't be fooled, though. It doesn't last long, and it usually is followed by a mess I get to clean. However, their hearts are certainly in the right place.

Behind every great kid...
I can't help but wonder how many moms feel like this:
There are MANY, MANY, MANY times I feel like I'm doing this mom stuff ALL WRONG! My friends and family have to give constant reminders and reassurances that the kids are turning out great, and I'm not screwing them up.
Donny and Braelyn, one day you will each have children of your own. I will be on the sidelines constantly lifting you up in prayer that you become the best parents you possibly can be for your child(ren). Your dad and I are doing the best we know how and continue to have conversations about what we an do better for you. We hope to raise you into caring, giving, responsible, and respectful young people.
Mommy and Daddy will always love you!

Tball - Red Rangers
Could there possibly be a cuter tball player in all the world? We thoroughly enjoyed watching Donny play for the Red Rangers! It sure helped that he likely has the best coach around - Coach Adam Leggett. We are looking forward to playing again in the Spring of 2015.
Gingerbread Man
Throughout the year, kindergarteners are assigned the task of working with their families to disguise a character related to the season. So far, we've disguised Clifford the dog (we made him a ghost for Halloween) and a turkey (we made him a bumblebee).
For the Christmas season, students were assigned the job of decorating a gingerbread man. Donny went right to work with his plan. I didn't have the heart to stop him because he was so excited about his masterpiece.
Here's the outcome:
He's a monster! It's totally in line with the holiday season, right? You have to love his creativity!
