She's FOUR!!

It's a little late but we've gotta let you all know- Katelynn had her birthday. She was so excited for the big day. It was on a Sunday so we enjoyed pancakes in the morning and got ready for church after all the naps and everyone was out of church we had a big family party.

She opened a dress before church and was so super excited. She is such a girly girl. She is pretty much always in a skirt or a dress and changes multiple times a day. (We're working on that one.)

This is Kate's pose ready to open her presents.

She was so excited when she saw this doll she got. It was cute.

Nathan said Ty was thinking pretty hard about the ball they were playing with.

We gave Kate a bike for her birthday. We can't wait to spend summer days riding around.

When I was asking Katelynn what kind of cake she wanted all she would say was a yellow cake. So I got online and helped her get a little more creative. We made cute little (big) ballet shoes. We needed a lot of cake. She talks about taking ballet classes all the time and finally gets to this summer!

She had the hardest time blowing out her candles. I think she was too far away from them. We all helped her blow them out in the end. You can see the piggy bank on the table. This was the one present she was asking for for months! She keeps thanking me for remembering to get her a piggy bank for a few weeks after.

We can't believe Kate is four. She is growing so fast and so big. It will be exciting to see what this next year brings!!

Awesome Preschool

For those of you who live near us here is one big reason to go to our preschool- TCP....

more than the cute kids..

What could it be?..

Say Hi to Becky!!

Every year an elephant comes to school. The kids sit in the parking lot and she does tricks and then they all feed her. How cool is that?!?

See how close Katelynn was?

This was our favorite trick!

Katelynn wouldn't even sing for Mother's Day at church the day before so it took a lot of work to convince her to feed and elephant!! Unfortunately, we didn't actually get a picture of her doing it. Bummer.

After, she was ready for her pict the the elephant!

I know that my Savior loves me

The Church's Primary theme song for 2010 is a song called "I Know That My Savior Loves Me" and the kids have been practicing it during primary. Jen put the song on a CD and they listen to it in the car occasionally. Kate loves to sing it. Here she is. The primary has had motions to go along with the words, as you can see Kate doing some of them. (Her teacher taught her that the chorus is where you sing as loud as you can. I can't wait to see Kate in the Primary program this year!

I think she is doing a great job. I am very proud of her.

Here are links to the music for anyone that wants it.
I Know That My Savior Loves Me - Music
I Know That My Savior Loves Me - Voice
I Know That My Savior Loves Me - Sheet Music

PS We sometimes have to prime the pump and give her the first words but we rarely have to help her on any part of the rest of the song.

Easter Fun

Easter this year was lots of fun. We did lots of egg dying. This was our last attempt and as you can see Tyler was very excited. He was extra smiley for the camera. He's a pro at wearing an apron now.

I think Kate's hair and face says it all- nothing is better than silly putty!

Ty decided to sit on Kate for their picture together.

Katelynn's hunt finds were very successful!

Once again he plopped right down in her lap for pictures. They are getting very cute and caring with each other.

Tyler got a See's sucker and really enjoyed it. We could not get it out of his mouth forever. By the time we got it out his shirt was covered in sticky sugar-drool!! YIKES!

St. Patty's Day Parade

We started Katelynn in preschool this month. It is a little bitter sweet because Annalise moved 30 minutes away so Katie just needed more to do. The preschool does a big St. Patrick's Day parade every year. All the kids decorate their bikes.

Katelynn is wearing this little tank top because it was literally in the upper 80s on Wednesday. We have been enjoying summer and lots of water play here this week.

They had a firetruck stop by too. That firefighter was really funny and would put the firefighter sticker over the police sticker and say they looked much better now.

What's better than cupcakes at 10:00 in the morning?

It's not St. Patrick's day without bright green hair, right? Don't we love Katelynn's pose?

My mom cut Collin's mullet that day too. As you can see he wasn't happy about getting his haircut- he was really starting to enjoy the feeling of his hair rubbing on his back.
