Life with Liv, Lai, + Lera

Our celebrations consisted of eating, playing, and letting the girls stay up later than normal! I usually make a bunch of snack food for New Year's Eve, but this year we ordered Mexican food! We played with all the toys and watched, believe it or not, "The Grinch" for the 100th time! Then we got in bed and played with each other for a while until the girls couldn't last one minute longer! Cody and I didn't make it to see the ball drop which has happened several times in the past! As we reflect over the past year it has been wonderful for many reasons...I gave birth to my second baby girl, both of my babies are perfect and healthy, Livia turned 2 and is talking soooo good...we love to hear everything she has to say, Cody got a job promotion, we made sweet memories with our family...etc! Birthdays mean so much more to my family than they ever have before! We are so thankful for our momma's /E E's birthday!!!! She has been a tough tough trooper this year in fighting against a horrible disease...she is such a strong woman! I was already proud to be her daughter for so many reasons, but to fight like she has is pretty unbelievable and makes me even more proud...she went to work most days, took showers everyday, didn't stop answering my 7:00 am wake up calls every morning, still had slumber parties with Livia and Lailee, took good care of my sister, was the best wife to my daddy, made our family still keep going, never stopped smiling, and never gave up!! She is my hero! She is finished with her Chemo treatments and now will start her Herceptin treatments every 3 weeks for 17 doses and radiation for 5 weeks. We have had the best Christmas ever!!! It was Liv's 3rd Christmas and Lailee's 1st! We started the events leading up to Christmas by taking the girls to Arlington to watch Santa land from a helicopter....it was too windy so he came in on a fire truck instead...Cody and I were slightly disappointed...but Livia and Lailee were so excited! I think their favoirte part was seeing Mickey and Minnie!  Then that night we went to Cody's work Christmas party! We had a lot of fun! He was awarded Manager of the year for the 2nd year...boy were we proud of our daddy! Monday the girls and I finished up our last minute shopping!
