Yesterday I attended yet another wedding (mental note: 4 down... 1 more to go). There are 2 firsts for me on this wedding. First of the firsts, is that it is the first church wedding I'm attending. And the second of firsts is that I am made the best man for the wedding.
Something quite special about the groom, LC, is that I actually knew him through an online forum, like maybe 5-6 years ago. From there we became friends and the rest is history.
So in the morning, I went to LC's house somewhere in Subang, which is the gathering point, before proceeding to... well, come back to Klang to pick up the bride. Hehe. Lucky for us, because it's a simple ceremony, there's no stuffs like "play the groom and his brothers" games. So all is good. They went through some simple ceremony and then we left for the church.
Our timing was pretty good and we managed to meet most of the scheduled time, despite stuck in the traffic for a little while due to stupid police blocking the highways. Managed to reach the church on schedule, and then the ceremony went on without a glitch. There were vows, singing, exchanging of rings and kisses, registration of marriage signing, and lots of picture taking. And I mean LOTS of em.
After all the church thing, LC and bride went home for tea ceremony, followed by some rest. I too went home and had a quick nap (only had like less than 4 hours of sleep the night before).
Later the night, there's the wedding dinner at some restaurant. It was mostly relatives, and them relatives are a really fun crowd. Quite a few are pretty good singers and they kept going for the karaoke on stage. Quite surprised but at the same time not that surprised to see EL (LC's cousin, whom I also know from the online forum) there too.
Finally, all good things have to come to an end. It's always fun to go to weddings, what more being a best man (that doesn't need to do much :P).
Just an average guy, living an average life, trying to be extraodinary once in a while :P

Randomness
Been running pretty dry on what to blog lately. Yeah, blame Facebook and my new job for that... :P
New job... I wouldn't really complain much, but at the moment I'm doing things outside of my jobscope. Yea I was told I'll be dumped on a project to follow through the process so I can be more familiar with the whole flow, but now I'm doing a lot of technical hands on because the whole thing is behind schedule. And it doesn't help that I never used the system before... so really gotta pick up everything on my own (no trainings too).
From what it seems from the meeting yesterday, I guess I'll be stuck at the Semenyih site at least until end of this year... ouch!
Nothing much going on these days, just lots of my friends getting married... so far I've got 6 invites, 1 of them clashes with another... basically from the first week of Nov till first week of Dec I'll be occupied every weekend.
Well, that's some of the stuffs going on for me... over and out.
