OMG!

WOW....I see I N-E-V-E-R got around to posting more this summer.  No excuses...just a busy life.  I am now on a mission to make this a better, more entertaining blog!  Mainly because I am not very successful at scrapbooking, photo printing, or even baby-bookkeeper and my hope is to print the blog out soon so we have SOMETHING to look back on.

Since I haven't gotten pictures up of Madeline's 4th birthday, I feel I need to do that quickly since we are approaching the weekend of her 5th birthday party!  I will be getting those pictures as soon as I find the CD with them on it....geez I need to get organized!

I have 1 on the computer right now of Madeline and cousin Claire in the bouncy house of the princess party.
Happy 4th birthday....a year later!

Apologies!

WOW...it has been 2 months and counting since my last post.  I REALLY fell of the blogging wagon!  Now it summer and I am prepared to catch you up on all the fun and exciting things the Willrich Clan has been up to.....just as soon as I FIND my camera and download some pictures.

I will let you in on some SUPER DUPER WONDERFUL news........Joseph has taken a NEW job here in La Grange!  Yes, you read that right....LA GRANGE!  He is now working at a local engineering firm, BEFCO, and we are so excited that he will be home SO MUCH MORE!  Goodbye Austin commute....hello 2 block walk!  It has taken some getting used to (having him home more, I am pretty set in my routine and he has gotten in the way a few times) but he is enjoying the new challenge.  He will now get to do so much more with the kids and their activities.  We love having him as a part of the family all week and not just the weekends.

Next blog......Madeline's 4th birthday party!

March...where did you go??

I seriously can not believe tomorrow is the LAST day of March and I am JUST NOW BLOGGING!  Where did this month go?
I have somewhat of an idea and I will break it down in simple terms.....the kids have been S-I-C-K! Not just a little sick...but sick for pretty much the entire month.  BUT to make it even more annoying better...they can't get sick at the same time...that would be too easy....they like to alternate illnesses...just when one gets well...the other doesn't want to be left out.....so they proceed on with the lovely illness of choice. I will get to that later.

Here are fun things we have done in the month of March:

Smiled

Drink Chocolate Milk

Play

WEDDINGS - Cousin Angie got married!

Fancy clothes

Watched movies

 Learn to brush our teeth

Sleep in ladybug antenna's

Western Day

Played with cousin Claire

Stickers....LOTS of stickers

and we can't forget a certain little princess turned 4 this year.
MADELINE had her 4th BIRTHDAY!!!
(more posted soon on another blog)

AND THEN we add the sickness!

To make a super long story super short....here is how it went.
1. Madeline developed some nice asthma 1st week in March
2. Said asthma turned into pneumonia....bought her a ticket out of school for a week.
3. Roan started a nice cough and fever at the end of the week
4. Roan gets RSV and a ear infection
5. Breathing treatments for both kids every 4 hours awake and asleep....that means IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!
6. All better...and back to school
7. Saturday of Spring Break....Madeline has fever(104.6) again....for 4 DAYS!  Viral Respiratory infection.
8.All better by Thursday of Spring break....off to Houston.
9. Friday night in Houston Hotel...Roan get fever...103.6...going back home.
10. In ER Sunday morning at 1 a.m. with Roan vomiting and high fever!  Viral respiratory infection and ear infection.
11. Pediatrician says Roan bought a ticket to the ENT doctor.  ENT doctor says he bought himself a ticket to get tubes in his ears with all the infections he has had. (Mind you we are on ear infection #2 this month).

Needless to say....I am happy this month is coming to an end.  Can't wait to see what April has in store!

SNOW

Not much snow.....but snow none the less.
The kids enjoyed playing in what little snow we had.  It was Roan's first time to experience the fun of snow so we enjoyed watching him.
A few pictures of the kids enjoying our Friday Snow Day

We didn't have school on Friday because of the nice layer of ICE that was on the roads NOT for the large amount of snow on the ground.

Cotton Bowl

January 7th we headed to Dallas to watch A&M take on LSU at the Cotton Bowl.  We had a great time with old friends.  Joseph's sister and her husband met us in Dallas as well to enjoy the game.  As you all know, Joseph graduated from A&M, Melissa(his sister) went undergrad at A&M and Master/PhD at LSU.  Jonathan (her husband) went undergrad through PhD at LSU....so you can imagine how happy he was at the end of the game.  Melissa rooted for A&M the entire time.  It was a great game and a great time.  Thanks for joining us Melissa and Jonathan.

Tailgating before the game.
 Section 317...great seats!

 Fighting Texas Aggie Band
Jonathan and Melissa ALL SMILES at the end of the game.

Christmas 2010

I am home with the kids today for Martin Luther King Day, they are napping, so I am taking full advantage and blogging.  I know it is January 17th and I am just now getting to post from Christmas. We had such a good time.  Madeline was so excited about it all, I think this will be the first Christmas she will remember....decorating, Santa, Christmas lights, presents, you name it she loved it...well minus the visiting Santa part.  Roan was great as usual.  He got into opening the gifts and once he found one he loved, passed on all the rest.  Oh how I want me kids to be little longer.....

Christmas Eve was spent having dinner at Joseph's parents and then church.  Christmas morning we stayed home with the kids and let them enjoy their gifts.  Later in the day we went and had Christmas at The Willrich Farm.  Then on the 27th headed to my parents in Moran for the rest of the holiday.

Santa brought Madeline a "big girl bike"

Santa brought Roan a nice workbench to play with
