"Starhub is a good operator! Their service is very efficient!"
Imagine having to wait for 4weeks before they are able to check if the sms you sent was valid.
I am currently in a situation of proving that Starhub my service provider has indeed made a mistake on 30th Aug. Here's how the story goes.
My phone rang and it was a message from starhub. It is the usual message of me after sending 5messages, they give me another 10. Here comes the problem. I have never send 5messages at all up till the time they send me that message! And when I check my card balance, the sms has already been deducted. I was puzzled, so I decided to call starhub to check it out. When I call, this guy said that from the records, I have already send 6. I was like "...". The following is the conversation.
Me: But I only send 2. Him: But from our records, you have indeed already sent 6. Me: Ok, do you mind telling me the numbers that I sent to? Him: Ok, but I'll only give you the last 4digits. ****, **** and **** Me: I see, I can tell you that those numbers that you have told me, I never message them today at all. These numbers are send yesterday. Him: But it can't be, could you have forgotten that you have send? Me: But 1of them is my teacher, and I will be cautious as to who I am sending to right? Him: Oh well, I'll check again for you and call you later. Me: Ok, by when? Him: Today.
After about 2hours later.
Him: Hello sir, I've helped you checked and these sms are indeed valid sms that have been send from your number. Oh and you total number of outgoing messages has risen to 8. 2of them were send in 1plus. Me: Huh?But I never even touch my phone at that point of time that you mentioned. Him: Could it be someone take your phone and sms? Me: But there's only my mum and I in the house. My mum won't take my phone. Him: Hmm..this is strange. Me: Ok, did your system register an outgoing message at 5.02am today? Him: Nope, the earliest is 11.09am. Me: Huh?But I did send a sms at that time. And you mean your system did not register it? Nevermind, I shall check with my teacher to see if she did receive any message at the time that you mention. Him: Ok, thanks for calling starhub....
When I check with Ms Lyana, she say don't have. So I call back starhub. This time round the service operator is very much worse than the previous one.
She: *the usual greeting* Me: Ok, I am calling to check for my sms numbers because I think there might be some errors. She: Ok, your phone number please. Me: 9******* She: Ok, your total sms for today is 8. Me: But I've only send 2! She: But it can't be wrong, because our system shows that it is indeed a valid sms send by you. Me: Ok, I have checked with the people whom you all claim that I've sent to and all have them said they didn't receive. She: Maybe your friends pretend that they never receive? Me: ... But 1of them is my teacher, she can't be so lame to pretend right? She: But our system cannot be wrong. So I ask her to check the 5am message again and she told me there was no record. So
Me: See, I did send a sms at that time but yet your system didn't record! She: But our system cannot be wrong you see. Why not you go down to the customer service area to check it out? Me: Ok, fine.
As I see no point in arguing, I decided to make a trip down to starhub today. This time round they say will need 4weeks to check if the sms I've send is valid.
Me: Wow, 4weeks is a long time, how I know if you have checked? She: I'll call you. Me: What if you don't? She: You see, you must trust us. Me: Ya, I trusted starhub and this is what I got. She: But if you really want to know whether the sms that you send is valid you will have to trust us that we'll call you back 4weeks later. There's no point arguing here you see? Me: Ya, but after this incident, you know? The trust..ya.. She: But you will need to trust us. Me: Ok, fine then, I'll wait and you'll call me back right? She: Yup.
So I left. I am very confident that there is an error with their system. If not do you think I would be so free to make my way down to tampines from my pri school? You see, it's not about that 6sms, to some of you, you might think that I am overreacting and why pursue over this matter, it's just 6sms. Think of it this way, 1day you 'send' 6, 1month you will be 'sending' 180! It's not about being stingy or what, I believe this case does not only happen to me. I only found out because I have been tracking my messages. I believe that there are many more innocent people who trust the system totally and end up getting charged extra without knowing it themselves.
Anyway, my last year back to mbs this year. It rained, it's quite sad la. Afterall, it was the school that I spend 6years of Children's Day in and it was because of the teachers in this school that I've made it to VS. Thank you teachers. It has been some time since I've typed such a long post as I guess that it will most probably be last post till after my O's. I am going to 'close down' this blog for 2 and half months to concentrate on my O's. I will try not to come online, if I do, it will only be checking emails and maybe reply some tags. So I am stopping myself from using the computer after today.
Yup, all I have to say is good luck for O's to everyone who is taking it and all the best! To those not taking, good luck too!=) Listen to the browncast whenever you are stressed. Yeah! Goodbye.

Here's a special one for Amos, a fellow supporter of pluto the 'planet'.
I sort of screwed up my chemistry practical today. Don't want to talk about it, nothing seems to be going on smoothly for me since the start of this semester. Is my feeling at the start of the year that I'm going to screw up my O's going to come true? I don't know, if this goes on, I don't know what will happen to me. End up in ITE? I really don't know and I seriously hope that won't happen. Please god help me, I need some guidance to the brightly lit path. The lamps along my current path is dimly lit and I am almost in a pitch black world, I need some enlightenment.

You want us to be vocal, but just a little bit of noise by us, you get so worked up. You say service award is just a name, the most important thing is that we've learnt something from this 4years. Yes, I've really learn alot from the various activities organised by you. But the most important thing I learn is from that night: -No matter how hard we work, what we deserve is determined by what we didn't do.
If you can look at what we didn't do, we can look at what you didn't do as well.
Where is my sunnto compass? I can't accept that sort of reason I get. It's just unreasonable reason. I don't care if what you are reading will develop more hatred between us, I am just being straightforward and vocal.
I shall not continue because only more unsatisfaction will come out. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you've done(not what you have not done) for us this 4years. Thank you.

1more day to National Day. I smell the haze, is pollution. I am tired, falling asleep soon. How unlucky can you get? A bus ride that usually takes 10min took 30min today. The bus that I took was slanting towards 1side and because the tire was experiencing low pressure and whenever the bus stops, the uncle have to step on the accelerator to increase the pressure so that it can move. Another of the same bus came from behind and overtook us but later the uncle decided to take off the bus plate so that only people can alight and not board.
Anyway, I am going to sleep since it has been a long long time I can be so early at home. bb

Time to blog abit. Today was our school's annual cross country meet. So early in the morning we went to Macrichite Reservoir. The weather was alright and it started with the C1 division and so on. When it comes to the B4 division, we went to the starting point to get ready, I was feeling cold at that time but the sun help warmed my exterior abit.
Down goes the flag and the gruelling 4.8km race was on. I started off slowly before increasing into a comfortable speed. I was hoping very hard that I will not get stitch or chest pain which I normally do get. Then after awhile, I saw the pole that marks the distance says 3.5km. I was shocked and after 1more downhill, it was the way to the expressway already. I felt that the distance in the forest part was short(not showing off because alot of other people say so too). I knew I had just completed about half the distance only so I tried to maintain my speed and my final position was 50.
The most interesting thing came when the group winners of the various houses were announced. "Coming in 3rd place, is Rochore house. Coming in 2nd place is Kapor house." When this 2were announced, Sean and I were telling each other that we cannot get any medal this year already. Surprisingly, the announcement for the 1st place was our house. We thought we had no chance because only 2whampoa house people were in top20 and about 3or 4 kapor and glam house people were inside the top20. So it just came as a surprise for us.
After which we went to J8 to catch a movie,"Tokyo drift". It wasn't my wish to watch that because I think that it's about the same as Initial D but anyway, there aren't any other shows which are very good so just settle on it. Now I am back home, feeling so tired(almost fell asleep in the cinema). zzZZzz

Something interesting happen yesterday. I was asked to look for my EL teacher to go through my script after school. So I went to wait for him outside staff room skipping lunch till 3.10pm. Then I called the staff room but they say he was not there. So I walked to the lift, took the lift up to 7storey and went to my class but there wasn't a single soul. Then I took out my phone and called but no one pick up. So I went down the stairs to the gallery and down back to the staff room and there he was walking down to canteen. I asked him where was he and he said he was inside staff room all the while and I tell him how I looked for him and waited for him.
So we were deciding a place that has proper tables and chairs and suitable environment. Staff lounge, IT lab and finally I say 3rd storey of library since I never gone up before anyway. So we went to the library up the spiral staircase and to the 3rd storey. There is a really nice place with 2leather sofas and we sat on 1. So off we start with the remedial and how time flies, it was soon 4.15pm and the silence of the library was deafening. He said we had better go down and when we went down, the shutters have closed, the lights are off already. We were trapped! Then my EL 'cher' went to the back door and unlock and luckily that door was an indoor lock so we could go out but can't lock it back. Who cares anyway? Just as we walked out, we saw chua and d'cruz. *LOL*
But this matter make me realise 1big flaw in the library management. They did not check if anyone is still in the library before locking up. Second, they did not off the lights on the 2nd and 3rd storey, is this how they save resources? Another flaw I noticed, in fact a BIG flaw! Look at the class photos of class 2A and 2C in the year book, the names are the same! I realised this when I was flipping through and saw same names appear. What a mistake! *sigh* It's all too late to change. Sad for sec2C.
Anyway, today's amaths mock exam it will be a miracle should I pass. I am speaking the truth.
