Updating Your Exercise Journal:

In order to update the document you do NOT need to sign in to Blogger at all ...
  • you DO need to sign in to Gmail with the username and passcode that was sent to you by the blog admin team.
  • above the colourful "Gmail" at the top of the email window is a line of links ... click on "Documents"
  • then click on "Weekly Exercise Log"
  • update your columns
  • at the top right side of the document window is a blue box: "Share". Click on it for a drop-down menu
  • Select "Publish as a web page"
  • Click on "Re-publish document" ** Don't forget this last step!
IMPORTANT: do NOT check the box to have this automatically republished when changes are made. It creates problems!

ALSO: ignore everything in the section, "This document has not been published to your blog."

Feel free to leave comments on these posts if you have problems or questions!

HELPFUL HINT: Although the chart is set up for just one entry each week of how much time you spent in profitable exercise, why not get in the habit of updating it each time after you exercise. Simply add today's minutes to yesterday's total and replace yesterday's entry with the new total.

Updating Your Weekly Weight:

The same as when updating your exercise record (see the post above) ...
  • you do NOT need to sign in to Blogger at all ...
  • you DO need to sign in to Gmail with the username and passcode that was sent to you by the blog admin team.
  • above the colourful "Gmail" at the top of the email window is a line of links ... click on "Documents"
  • then click on the weight log that has your name
Now it is slightly different:
  • Right-click in the box with the most recent weight
  • from the menu that pops up, select to "insert row above" the current row.
Now go back to following the same format as for the other chart in order to finish:
  • update your columns ... etc.
Don't forget the final step of "republishing"!

Backing up Your Weight Table:

YOU MIGHT CONSIDER downloading this document to your computer as a Word document for back-up just in case you mess everything up and lose it all! If that happens, it's not the end of the world -- just the end of your history of weight losses (or gains)! We'll simply start you over again with a new document! In order to download it:
  • go to the blue line of menu choices at the top of the page above your weight table. (The "blue" line or row of menu choices is important because there is another row of similar choices at the very top of your web page screen that will not work for this!
  • click on file
  • from the drop-down menu, move the cursor over "Download file as"
  • that will cause another menu to drop-down...
  • select "Word" (or another choice you might have).
  • click on "Save" in the pop-up box
  • choose a place to save it to so you know where to find it later and click on "Save" again.
Have fun!
